Exchange Student Ideas

So, as some of you may know I am hosting an exchange student in December for a month.
As it is Summer for me I need some ideas as to what to do, he is from Reunion and likes surfing and all.
Obviously we will take him to the beach and surfing and all.

But do you guys have any ideas?
Have you ever hosted an exchange student before? If so what was it like?
Because I am very nervous and want him to have a good time!!

Reunion? Hmm, very interesting. It's an isolated archipelagic place. Maybe, you can take him to a trip in downtown area, big shopping centers, some historical places, city's favorite parks etc. Also, you can give some information about city life. You already know that he likes sea and beach activities. I wish you a cheerful month!
