Behold! My fantastic artwork is laid out before your eyes!
I enjoy drawing by hand as well as on the computer, but I find it easier to display digital works online.
I draw most of these in photoshop with just the brush tools, the smudge tool, and the burn/dodge tool.
I didn't realize I liked to draw this much until I asked people (on YWS) if they would like me to draw something.

This was done with solely water colors.

I painted something for my new poem called "Paper Girl." ( Paper Girl )


I've also been painting with water colors. Sadly, the only thing I really excel at is trees. Painting trees really calms me down.

I love the trees! I love trees so much but I have such a hard time with them for some reason. Yours are beautiful!

@Daisuki Thanks! Here's my secret:
When the brush kinda splits into two parts at the end of a stroke, pretend those are two different branches. It looks more natural that way. ^_^

I've been doodling a lot more lately.

I've been drawing these weird, mechanical dragonflies.



Someone let me play with a wood burner pen thingy.

I started drawing these hand things about a year ago, but they all turn out so well. I make them as gifts for others sometimes... I just really like them.

This one's not quite done, but I didn't really want to finish it, so I suppose it is done.

This was the first one I did. I started drawing it in summer-school.


This one got folded so I had to hold the page down, so we get a surprise visit from my hand!
I also lost my black marker when I drew this so it's slightly different from the others in that not everything is outlined.

I drew this one while listening to "Demons" by Imagine Dragons on repeat.

This one is (obviously) just pencil. It's not quite finished either.

Yup I'm just posting everything today. ^_^

This was some kind of flower-ception.

I did this last night when it was really late. Sometimes those projects look less wonderful in the daytime, but I'm really satisfied with this. I call it "Day and Night.'"

Hello fortis! Just dropping in for a comment. Which might develop into a conversation. We just don't know.

In any case, the one thing I notice about your coloring is that it's very flat. This isn't always a bad thing, and it works well with the stylized drawings, but the latest drawing with the leaf really makes it seem like you have no idea how shading works. You also seem to rely on the dodge and burn tools to do your shading and highlighting, which is not a good thing since it tends to make your darks black and your whites eye-searing neon-haloed white. The dodge and burn tools in general should be used sparingly, and only on very, very reflective items, like metals and super shiny plastics.

Understanding shading has a lot to do with understanding the shape of what you're drawing. More complex objects are made up from a bunch of basic shapes, and if you know how those basic shapes are shaded, then you can shade the more complex objects really easily.

For example, the leaf is shaped like a sheet. If you take a sheet of paper and hold it up, it can give you a pretty good idea of how light would shine through the leaf, and also what kinds of basic shadows would appear on it. The veins of the leaf are itty bitty cylinders, so they cast shadows onto the flatter parts of the leaf too. Combine all these basic shadows together, and then you'd get an accurately-shaded leaf.

Right now, the shadows and highlights are all over the place along with the colors, so the leaf looks bubbly and diseased.

Another thing to remember while shading is not to use black or white. Instead, you want to use darker and lighter values of colors. For example, the leaf has a green color as its base, so, depending on the color of the light, the highlights could be more yellowish while the shadows are more bluish than the main green. Using other colors to shade helps give objects in your drawing more interest and shape, and it looks much better than using the dodge and burn tools or shades of black and white.
