Tarantino is a good writer though. In one of my favorite films "Crimson Tide", he has an uncredited writing credit.

When I first found that out I instantly knew which parts he wrote.

He's great. There are few films where I think the writing wasn't there. (Little Nicky) Overall, he is a good writer. Even though I do dislike True Romance, The writing was good. I wish he help write more films

The Golden Compass. I loved the portrayal of the daemons, especially Pantalaimon.
Only a writer could cry about killing off a fictional character, mainly 'cause we wrote it down in pen, and therefore never be able to change it.

I'd actually have to agree with Empress. The LOTR films were spectacular. The hobbit was great too. I can't wait to see the next one. I'll probably end up going with my friends, still in my school uniform, but only with my green frost cape instead.

Dude... Requiem for a Dream and Fightclub. Both amazing books and amazing movies. Definitely my top two faves. Practical Magic will also have a special spot in my heart. I read the book when I was twelve and thought it was great. But you really just can't beat Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock chanting, drugging their boyfriends, and beating up a zombie with a frying pan. :wink:

Besides Harry Potter, The Dark Knight Rises strongly alluded to A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens (my favorite novel).

The Two Towers! I liked The Hobbit, but something about the orcs being real people made it feel more magical and less like I was watching a movie. The Hobbit just gave me that feeling, while it was almost exactly like the book, it lacked the organic feel of the trilogy.
