So I'm a newbie on this site and I just have a question: can I make some reviews today or should I just make a note of them and save them for tomorrow?

Go ahead and review as much as you want! YWS reviews all the time, not just on Review Day. The one thing to keep in mind is they won't count towards the review day total if you do them early, but with today being a free literary work day I am sure that there will be plenty to review tomorrow. ;)
