It is where literary works with only 0 or 1 reviews collect. Once a work has two reviews, it leaves the Green Room.

It's basically to make it easier to find works that really need reviews. Two reviews usually gives you a good idea of how the work is, and YWS is all about reviewing work.

Also, you get a bonus of giving a work its first or second review. Which means the point max for reviews goes from 100 to 150.
