Hiyas! New Guy Here

Hi, everyone.

I'm a spoken word performer and published poet from the Philippines. A friend on Facebook suggested I join YWS. I've been going through episodes of depression from feeling artistically isolated. I'm here to grow some more and hopefully find a community.

I'm 19, which makes me feel old. But I bake cakes and cookies, play Pokemon, and collect Tamagotchis. (Look at me try to justify my being young! LOL.)

Don't feel too old. I know there are several people on here who are older ^.-
If you're feeling artistically isolated, you came to the right spot. We have loads of people willing to be buddies (-> clubs/1127 ) or just hang out, like our chat systems.

There's a strong poetry community on YWS too! If you're looking for a buddy to help get you used to the site, you can always ask one of them (find a list of profiles in the Buddy System forums) to help guide you around and teach you the ropes. Also, there's no better first impression than a good review! People love to put up Poetry on here, and you can make a difference in their lives by helping them become better poets with reviews, creative suggestions, and unique input.
