I had a thought the other day (well more than one, but only this one sounds interesting enough to share). It was a result of puting together two bits of seemingly disassociated bits of info. One, city building games (for example, clash of clans) are very popular. Two, there are some cities that need some serious help. Building, if you will. Does it seem possible for some kind of "game" to be developed using data from one of these cities? Or are the problems too vast and interwoven to put so lightly?

I don't know. I'm still processing the idea myself.

Like using a program to map out a recovery for the blight that is Detroit?

Kind of. My idea was more making a program to have people come up with ideas for Detroit's recovery.

Well with so much crowdsourced nowadays I dont think its unthinkable that something like this could happen but would be extremely difficult for government and administration to sort through the vast number gamers "suggestions".

The most difficult thing in the world is to know how to do a thing and to watch somebody else doing it wrong, without comment.
