Love this:
Some trees grow crooked
With knobs from branches cut
Paths started
But abandoned before it's too late.
you can message me with anything: questions, review requests, rants
are you a green room knight yet?
have you read this week's Squills?

D'aaaaw kitty! C: I really like 3, it really did take me through until the end of stanza 2 for me to realize it was a cat, so it intrigued me! But I really got the sense of warmth and love from this. ^-^

I really have to catch up...

April 20 Poem 1

When midnight covers the sky with fluid dark
And the moon gazes at the earth
Then I need courage in my heart.

When the wind whispers in your ears,
When the shadows creep behind
How can you journey on?

No human truly fears the dark
Terror comes from what it hides
And when the stars are dim we hide.

Poem 2 of today

A gray monolith reaches
With knotted fingers for the sky.

It stands tall,
untroubled by man or beast.

Until the silver blade comes,
and thunks into the trunk
once and then again.

The tree creaks and sways
Torn from it's roots.

Topples towards the ground,
And crushes the bearer of the axe.

Poem 3

When I was away
far away

I saw a field.
Barren field.

The field was scorched black.
Lifeless black.

A fire had devoured the grass.
Pitiful grass.

But then it rained.
Soft rain.

Tender shoots grew.
Grew anew.

Poem four

I met her on a battlefield
The love of my life.
Awfully cliched
That's just how it works.

A speeding bullet met my body
And then I would have died
But for her.

Covered in blood
Crossed with scars
Caked in dirt
But lovely to me

She reached for me
And tended my pains
And I found I was again whole.

And now my story is all told.
Believe or not
What do I care?

Phew...only two behind now. And I thought NaPo would be easy.
