Leave Me to Grieve and Die

she walks in beauty, like the night;
speak tones soft to my delight
but she will never be as mine
as the cloud flitting there are thine

she slept in grace and breathe out calm
like pure peace and harsh chaos in psalm
but glossed air from her blows no more
leaving me lost in hate's rancor

Lord, if you are there, hear me now!
do not face me with disavow!
let me know why take such splendor
from life which i now surrender

just answer me, Lord, tell me why
why had thou fathomed my home by
took from my hand what was once mine
and left me with naught, to grieve and die

Seven Days, Seven Lies

Spoiler
the words i articulated in the vacuum air
are alongst the side of truth
believe what i say
and say what you believe

on the first day, i slashed open a husk
dripped from it was darkness,
dripped with it was light

on the second day, i cut open a brain
reason burst flying and left me erroneous
for emotion was what the incandescence of
will subjected to

on the third, i gave birth to shimmering dots
and fill the vacuum air with them
--smaller than the eye of the storm--
to connect, to trace, to find

on the fourth i crashed with the waves
on the fifth, i blew feathers
to join the words i articulated in the vacuum air
and on the sixth
on the sixth
the sixth
was you
you

and in the seventh, i sit down upon my throne
and regret

I See the Sea

i am the captain of the sea
i am its marauder, i am its master
i am the one who sees the sea
i do, i do, i do see the sea

what treasures lie deep and yonder
deep and yonder in the sea i see?
i am its captain, i am its master,
and mine was the treasure of the sea

me, me! i am the captain, i am the master
deep i dig, deep and yonder in the sea
there i see, under the sea, the treasure i seek
from the sea i see, deep under the sea

me, me! i found it, it's me! it's mine!
i found the treasure in the sea i see
in the chest, hard and old, under the sea,
i see my heart, sunken so deep in the sea

i took it and wore it, smelled it and ate it,
for i am the captain of the sea i see!
i gave the sea i see my heart, and deep it hid it
deep and yonder is my heart,
for it belongs to the sea, you see?

Spoiler
Stupid and weird this might be, I've written it in the name of my cousin who lives near the sea. He's about 8 years old (which explains the stupid innocence of the speaker in the poem) yet he loves the sea so much. He's the captain of the sea he sees everyday.

Oh, of course! I didn't get that point, dum me indeed! That's just a prompt for NaPoWriMo, so...yeah :)

My cousin loves the sea because they live by the beach! They're some caretaker of a beach house, see.

Lightly Seared on the Reality Grill

when one has yet milk on his philtrum
his mind is only to saunter off and wander far
far to dreams which are free to buy, to sell fine
and to materialize demands more
from the strength of infancy and nascence

free, free, free they are
and they saunter, wander off and far

when one's milk drips off to his lips
and swallowed by the arid lust for reality
dreams once free turn to dust and demise
only the glory of life he would yearn to find
and its pleasures, not its treasures

he lives off in hopes of betterment,
not the beauty and contingency of content
but when the grill of reality sears his skin
no dreams, no hope will then weather
its wreath of deathly flames

Dawn

the dawn
sings its coda,
the grave of starless night
and the womb of blithe day, rising
anew.

The Ballad of the Jesters

The king of dukes went to town
without a cloak or crown!
due to his wish to taste quick death
he asked to cut his head!

The King, the King, the King is in town
and he wishes to cut his head,
his head!

The king of dukes, the idiot,
cared only for karat,
his gold is mold, his head be dead,
the Tiger tore and shred!

The King, the King, the King is in town
and he wishes to cut his head,
his head!

Now that he had tasted sudden death
he thought of crystal meth;
the things he did, things he must do
but can't because he's through!

The King, the King, the King is dead
the tiger cut his head!
Now we celebrate, rage instead
for the King is in red

Hooray! Hooray!
Here's the new King for today!
Today let's see, if he's better head
if not tomorrow he's dead.

Spoiler
This is an innuendo for the coming elections, by the way! It's a formal ballad dedicated to the classic music played by old Disney movies.
