I'm here! I have to ask: What's the difference between mage and a witch/wizard/other?

Ah yes, good question. The mages are going to be more involved with the kingdom and its daily life (in other words, more normal people, except they can use magic). Also, mages will tend to do more service for the crown and can be involved in more militaristic duties. The witches/wizards will usually be more secluded, not necessarily living on their own, but not militaristic or generally called upon by the crown either. Hopefully that clears it up?

Also, Omniyus, you said you reserved a spot. Which spot do you want to reserve?

Ah, you see that was the reason why I asked that question, to clear things up. I think I will reserve a mage, unless any of the royalty can be able to use magic?

Nope, none of the royals can use magic. Alright, i'll reserve you a Mage!

So, as far as I can tell, Mages are like State Alchemists and Wizards/etc. are like citizen alchemists? Sorry if the analogy doesn't really make sense, it's from the "Fullmetal Alchemist" series.

Yeah, I guess you could think of it like that, except with magicians instead of alchemists

I'd like to join you guys if that's ok? I'm asking here instead of in the SB thread, to clarify my character. How do you envision the faeries? I'd like to be a sinister non-human force in the story >=)

It's a world of magic, so whatever magical creature you can imagine is fine, sinister or not. Any type of fae would be welcome to spice up the story.

So, guys, I'm not sure when we should start this thing. I was hoping for a few more people to join before we started, but what do you all think? Nobody else has posted for a long time, so we could either wait for a bit more or just start and see what happens...

Aquestioning, thanks for bumping. We'll wait a little bit longer before starting, I think, but in the meantime does anybody want a second character? We most need a commoner and preferably the king/queen before we start...anyone?
