Spoiler
There is a place where the government keeps unusual people. Not people who look a little different or have a slightly higher IQ, the kind of people who are different deeper down, and their families. This is that place.
Families have a few bedrooms to themselves, but the cameras are everywhere. In the morning, each family is escorted to a communal lounge where they're served meals and allowed to socialize. There are board games and sports equipment in the room, although it's all hollow and easily breakable so the prisoners can't use them as weapons. This has the added purpose of allowing the scientists to observe how the unusual act with others. The scientists also double as teachers for the children, with the history always slanted in the government's favor. At varying times each day, people are taken to private rooms for testing. They check blood pressure, weight, height, everything you'd see at a normal doctor's appointment, sometimes with extra checks added for the specific individual.
The food is alright, but nothing special, similar to food you'd get in a school cafeteria. The clothing is an orange uniform for the prisoners, making them easy to spot. The guards wear dark green suits with a belt for guns, ammo, taser, etc. The scientists wear blue. The uniforms are to keep adult prisoners from impersonating others.
There are people of all ages here, from the youngest children to the elderly. Some have been here for their whole life, and others were taken recently.
The unusual may be aliens, daemons, monsters, or anybody else with physiology and/or psychology significantly different from humans.

-prisoners try to escape
-people sometimes disappear when a scientist tests on them alone
-guard/prisoner or scientist/prisoner fall in love (prisoner/prisoner is accepted)Again, I'll add more when I think of more
