SO MANY POSTS...

I thrusted the scythe up into the air, the wind vibrating and humming around it. I ran towards the first man I saw, a guy, no a boy, no older than 17. The scythe collided with the ground in front of the boy and he dropped his rifle in fright. I grabbed the scythe again and swung it to the left, slicing the boy in half.

I felt a twinge of regret, after all, the boy still had a life to live, but he instead just picked up with the "cool" guys and started hunting monsters. The regret disappeared as a dozen or so bullets flew past my face.

In the corner of my eye, I saw Buru change into his true form. His claws extended and his skin hardened and formed scales around his body. His legs shortened and his arms elongated until they were the same length. His eyes blurred, his iris spilling out of his eyes, brown lines of liquid leaking down his narrowing face until they disappeared. His eyes were now yellow. He looked like a crocodile standing on two legs. Somehow, he could still run, almost even faster than before.

My skin cringed a bit looking at this. I was the master of Integration. I wasn't a monster, persay, but I wasn't human either, which made the humans hunt me just the same. Anyway, my ancestor, Quetzalcoatl, created the first Buru. Two months later, after he had created over two hundred of the Buru, they invaded his palace and killed everyone, all except for his son. Ever since, our two bloodlines have been at each other's necks.

A few bullets punctured my cloak, which brought me out of my thoughts. I charged a middle-aged man with a beard that went down to his chest. I deflected his shotgun blast with my scythe and rammed the hilt of my weapon into his chest. The scythe hummed, and a blast of blue energy washed through him, burning him from the inside out.

I ignored the now husk of a man and shadowed Buru as he ran through the trees, tearing through human flesh. He had no need to fear bullets, for they just bounced off. The only place he was vunerable at was his two eyes.

I jumped over the ruins of a man and landed on a tree branch. Hopping from branch to branch, I still saw the outline of Buru running through the brush, killing each hunter before they even knew what happened.

I smiled. He had this in the bag. I didn't even need to help him--

A large crack sounded through the woods and Buru fell.

"No!" I jumped through the branches. Another crack and my vision blurred.

I don't intend for either of us to die. I think it would be interesting if we were captured or something. Lemme know what you think, Buru

Just tell me what your plans were for how they get captured and I'll post tomorrow, I think it's fine. And SparklingGabbi, instead of doing all those posts, just go back and edit one next time.

SparklingGabbi, I just want to say that you can always tell us everything outside of the actual story on our walls or PM us, that way this char chit-chat won't be littered with casual conversation. From now on, if you wanna say something to us, try and keep it out of this forum and put it on our walls or PM us. Thanks!

On with the story!

I slowly amble myself through the dark foliage. Keeping to the shadows, I stay away from my night guide. Humans are every where, I couldn't stand humans. All I can think about is the safe house, a place I can go to rest. I am weak from the lack of food and sleep. I go faster behind the safety of the shadows.

The loud sounds of chaos in the distance causes me to stop in my tracks. Quickly, I go towards the noises. Reaching the battle field, I watch as two creatures fight the horrid humans. I was too weak to help them, I sit back and watch. Suddenly, two loud cracks cause me to snap my head towards the two fighting. They both fall to the dusty terrain below them.

I take a deep breathe, clutching my fists. I gather the strength to change forms. I stretch my form, shaking my pelt. As I change, my tribe markings imprint in the fur of my body. My tail sways silently to and fro as I bare my teeth. I quickly dash towards the two creatures, using the shadows as shield. I quickly appear next to them, picking the green creature up on my back. Keeping my balance, I try to keep him up. Before I touch the other one, bullets come flying. By reaction, I quickly bite deep into the second creature. Turning quickly in the shadows, we vanish without a trace.

Weakly I take the two into a cave only a few miles away from the safe house. Gently setting them down on the floor of the dusty cave, I turn into my girl-like form. I look down at my leg, which was bleeding from a bullet wound. I make myself get up, going to get wood. As I come back, I create a fire. I put the two who were passed out against the fire. Giving them warmth, I try to attend to their wounds as best as I could. Looking towards the one I had bitten, I felt guilty. I quickly heal his first, getting weaker. In the middle of looking at the second creature, I pass out.

Maya is a cambion, half-human, half-demon. She's an older version of Maya from a different kind of prison.

She has pale purple skin, darker purple eyes, curly brown hair with really short clear crystal horns barely poking out, and wings. (Not feathered, more like bat wings.) She's also extremely pretty, but unlike Succubi and Incubi, doesn't wear revealing clothing or anything. She's sixteen years old now.

It's okay for me to join now, right?

I slip through the woods, hoping that I'm not being too obvious. The dark green cloak helps, of course. My skin isn't exactly a color that'd blend in.

I remember what Nate said before he died, killed by the people who viewed him as just as bad as me. My human brother had told me to find someplace where I could be safe. Rumors were that nearby there was that kind of place.

Smoke pours into the sky nearby. I follow the trail, hoping it will lead me to the safe house. Instead, I found a small cave with a fire crackling cheerily away. Three people were passed out on the ground.

I dropped to my knees by the closest one, a girl. She didn't look like she was injured at all, and she stirred, opening her eyes.

She slowly stirs, glancing towards the one that is above me. I quickly skid backwards, growling.
"Who are you?" I claim with a deep growl in my throat. Blinking, I glance to the two that lay on the ground wounded. I quickly stand in front of them, protecting them from the stranger.

I stayed in a pouncing position, watching the stranger till something caught my eye outside of the cave. I tilts her head, looking away from the stranger. Quickly, I put out the fire and took the strangers hand. Quickly pulling her behind the two wounded ones, I change form. My eyes reflected the light that shown in the cave. Everything was pitch black, Slowly stalking forward, I toward the caves entrance.

Barking, I runs out. Humans follow my trail, shooting at me. Running far away from them, keeping them safe. Hiding in the shadows, I was still being hunted by the humans. I stay where I was, hiding. Weak, I fall to the ground. Waiting till they left the area so I could return back to the cave.

The girl in the cave pulled me to the side, shape-shifted, and ran out. I heard a few gunshots ring out, then silence. Sinking to my knees, I earnestly hoped they hadn't got her. Just reached here, and already people were helping me more than had ever happened before. Amazing.

Except for the ones we lost to get here. I knew it was true. None of us had made it here intact. I lost everything.

I slipped my cloak off and lie it across one of the unconscious forms on the floor, because he had begun to shiver. He looked vaguely like a crocodile, I thought, though it was hard to tell in the dim light.

Then I leaned back against the wall of the cave and fiddled with my black woven mourning bracelet, waiting for them to wake up or for the shapeshifter to come back.

I sight greatly as I look around the tree I was hiding in. The sounds of the men slowly fading away as the sun of a new dawn broke the tree line. I sigh, knowing I had to get back to the cave to finish healing the two on the floor.

Grinding my teeth, I change once again. I take off back towards the cave. I slowly stop in a field with deer. My instincts telling me to kill one, taking my chances with the humans around. I swiftly bend down, stalking towards the deer. As I get closer, I tackle one of the bucks. He begins to fling and buck around. Slamming me into the ground, I let out a whine. I manage to get to the deers neck, slicing it open with my claws. The deer falls to the ground, the battle was over.

I pick up the deer and trot back to the cave with it. As I reach the cave, I change into my human-like form. Seeing the stranger was still there and the two on the ground still out. I walk into the cave, setting up another fire. I look towards the stranger,

"Will you help me make some food?"

I opened my eyes quietly. It made no difference. Everything was still black.

I groaned silently. My right side was incredibly hot, and I could tell it was open to the air, my clothing was not covering it anymore. I thought for a minute, trying to remember what happened before this.

Was I dead? I listened quietly. No, I was sure I wasn't. I could hear faint, irregular breathing around me. Someone, maybe more, was in here with me.

Then it came back to me. The girl. Her friend. The humans fighting strategically. The cracks. I looked at my side. Although I cannot see anything, I can feel it. It wasn't a bullet, like the ammo of the rifles and other minor guns the humans normally use. It was something much, much worse.

Light flooded in from somewhere, dizzying my vision.

Was I captured? I immediatly grabbed for my scythe. It wasn't there.

My eyes darted across what looked like a cave. It wasn't anywhere to be seen. I could see Buru next to me and two other people across me.

Ignoring the pain from my wound, I stood up and growled at the two people, placing myself between them and Buru.

"Who are you?" I asked quietly, readying one of my daggers.

As one of the injured creatures wakes, I turn towards him. I slowly stand up, showing my hands towards him. I bow my head politely, showing mercy. I didn't want to be a threat to him, he was still wounded.

"Would you like something to eat?" I whisper towards him. Waiting for his answer, I stand there. Listening to his breathing as well as anything else that I could from the cave. All I could do was wait till he calmed down and to explain everything.

I walked over to the crocodile thing I had covered in my cloak. It, or he or she, I wasn't really sure, hadn't moved yet and I wanted to make sure he, let's just call it a he, was okay.

He slid out from under my cloak and looked at me. "Hello, who are you?"

I stumbled back in surprise. It could talk? I suppose there was no reason for it to not be able to. I extended a shaky hand. "My name's Maya. Just Maya."

Really? "crocodile thing" LOL I also lost where im at, maybe in the forest? as a black mustang.

I trotted around the area, searching the area for anyone still around. No-one.... I guess I'm alone. At least the humans are gone. Well might as well be a mustang for a while, I'm gonna just have a small gallop.

Off I went, galloping just for fun but still being very careful. I don't think being a mustang will suit this environment, but oh well, I do still like this horse breed though. I kept on galloping further, I stopped for a bit to observe to sun, knowing the sun rises in the east and setting in the west, I knew what direction I was going in: North. Weird.. I just noticed: I haven't seen of my monster friends, wonder where they are? I asked myself.

After a few minutes of galloping I started to notice some human footprints on the ground. It could be them coming and leaving. But I saw some other footprints as well..... I gasped. Could the humans have already captured my friends??? And kept on going.

Spoiler
Hope it's good! :pirate3:
