River

Ex-girlfriend? I study her, "Oh... well, I guess you could come in."

Sol

I walk in and grab my headphones, my MP3, and turn to him, "How do you guys ever deal with him?"

River

I watch her and shrug, "We kind of don't."

Sol

I chuckle and nod, freezing when I hear Elijah come in, and wait for him to say anything.

River

I move a bit down the hall to avoid being seen with his ex-girlfriend and watch him walk into his room, hearing muffled talk.

"What are you doing here?" he asks her.

Sol

"Taking back my stuff," I answer, taking back my CD's and laptop.

River

"You could have called first, you know," he grumbles. "My family doesn't know about you. Now one of my idiot siblings does."

Sol

"So your embarrassed for me? Yeah, if anything, I should feel that way about you," I mutter back, stuffing my guitar in it's case and opening my drawer in his dresser.

River

"Don't be that way," he orders. "I'm not embarrassed. I don't want my family in my f**king business. You broke it off with me, don't you remember?"

Sol

I throw my shirts in my bag and nod, "Yeah, I f*cking remember, Eli."

River

"Whatever. Be that way," Elijah grumbles again before storming out of his room and sneaking outside again.

Sol

I watch him go before sighing and running a hand through my hair, continuing.

River

I hesitate before hovering before the door again, staying silent.

Sol

I flash a smile at River and sigh, still loading my stuff into the bag.

River

I flash a polite smile back before taking a deep breath, "So... how long were you dating him?"
