As the ride progressed the windows slowly tinted, I didn't notice at first, but when the battery on the PSP Dill gave me died I had nothing else to distract myself with and, to avoid the pressure of the crowded van, I turned towards the window only to find it pitch back. I felt my heart lurch and tugged on Dill's sleeve, drawing him from a conversation with one of the others. He gave me a stiff look.

"What is it? What's wrong?"

I nodded towards the window and he gave it a questioning look. After a while he just chuckled lowly and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket.

"It's all I have, buddy. I don't know how long it'll last though, are you good?"

"I'm fine, thanks."

I took the phone and flipped it open, instantly I knew it wouldn't work. The screen was completely white. I tapped the screen experimentally, nothing happened.

"Dill, your phone is broken."

He took it away and examined it, just as he was beginning to speak again a disembodied voice filled the room.

"Please prepare for arrival."

"Please prepare for arrival."

I took my phone from my pocket to check the time, but it wasn't working. The screen was white. "What the.." I tapped my phone a couple of times, but nothing happened.

"My phone isn't working either," Rivanni said.

Fantastic. Oh well, I guess it was all part of the game. The van finally stopped and we all got out. A forest. I couldn't help but smile. I was used to this type of terrain. I knew how to survive with nothing else than a knife in a place like this, and I had one of the best rifles available. This was going to be a walk in the park. Although I would have to change into something more practical. Suit, coat and polished leather shoes weren't suited for this. Luckily I brought plenty of clothes with me.

"This is going to be fun," I said with a smile, completely forgetting that I was supposed to play harmless. Oh, well, I wouldn't even be here if I was harmless. "Sooo.. Do we start by making a camp or something?"

We were in the middle of the forest. Ah shit, I thought, it's gonna be hard to make a bomb out here.

Eric asked an idiotic question.

"Yes, we do," I answered. "Anyone here smoke?" Cole tossed me a lighter. I piled up some dry leaves and pine needles then lit them on fire. I walked over to a leaning tree and kicked off a dead branch, I added that to the fire until it was crackling warmly.

I handed the lighter back to Cole and stood up. "Anyone know how to hunt?" At least six hands went up.

I smiled, "Good."

I looked from Carmen to the fire. I was already spreading along the ground, jumping from one dry leaf to another. "You do know that unless you put some rocks around that and stomp down the vegetation it'll become a wildfire?" She glared at me and I threw up my hand with a smile. "Just saying. I'm not very keen on burning to death."

The other's glared at me too, but at least Carmen followed my advise. Seriously, there was no need for them to get jealous just because I was better at this. "I can take care of the hunting, if no one mind." I looked around and there were no protests. I looked down on my wristwatch. At least that was still working. "I'll be back in an hour or two."

"Wait." I looked at Rivanni with a raised eyebrow. "There's another team out there, remember? You said yourself that you're completely useless when it comes to close combat." I did not say completely useless. "So you should take someone with you. We can't afford to lose a member of our team the first day." Well, he wasn't stupid, I'd have to give him that, but neither was I and I didn't need a bodyguard.

"You have anyone in mind?" I said with a smirk. Maybe he'd send his little pet.

I heard a deep sigh behind me. "I'll do it."

I'd like to reserve hunting with Eric for my character since I haven't been posting. Technical difficulties.

Luna

We arrived to where ever the hell our destination was and began setting everything up. I sat down on a log i'd found and looked at the fire Carmen had set. As everything faded into background, I began absentmindedly twirling a silved dagger between my fingers. The sound of people talking reached my ears, but didn't register in my mind until I heard-

"I can take care of the hunting, if no one mind."

I looked to see Eric had spoken. He continued, "I'll be back in an hour or two."

As he got up to leave, someone else spoke up. "Wait." Dill said "There's another team out there, remember? You said your self that you're completely useless when it comes to close combat, so you should take someone with you. We can't afford to lose a member of our team the first day."

"You have anyone in mind?" Eric said with a smirk.

I gave a deep sigh berfore saying, "I'll do it."

Everyone turned turned to look at me as I stood up. Why did that always happen? Heading toward the tree line, I turn to look back at Eric and say, "Well? Are you coming, or what?" before disapearimg into the surrounding darkness.

Time to go hunting.

Ten and Dill

Dill

I nodded at the two as they went off, that left me with the rest of the group. We needed security, and I knew just the man for the job. I turned towards Ten and messed his hair, drawing his attention away from the retreating duo.

"Ten, I need you to do something for me."

He nodded excitedly and smiled. I rolled my eyes.

"I need you to go search the perimeter, come back immediately if you find anything useful, kill anyone you don't know, okay?"

He nodded again and broke off in a run towards the forest. Slightly panicked, I whistled loudly to draw him back. He returned slowly, shoulders hunched, feet dragging.

"Don't run off like that, for Christ's sake."

"But you said-"

"I know what I said, just... don't run off."

He gave me a questioning look, his eyebrow raised, mouth in a frown. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair before letting him off again. He wouldn't understand, even if I told him, how afraid I was just letting him go. He could very well decide he didn't want to come back. God... I don't even know what I would do. I watched him walk away, taking careful steps, looking back at me when he thought he might be going too fast again. I waved him off and he started with a jog before breaking into a sprint. My heart sped up and I sat on the sand, staring at the fire that was being fixed.

"We need to get this game over as soon as possible," I started, making eye contact with everyone left. "We need a plan."

I followed Luna a bit into the forest then put my bag down and opened it. I could hear her stoping. "I need to change. Can't run around here in a suit. Feel free to look away.. Or not." I smirked and started changing without waiting for her response. I was hoping that she wasn't too prude to look, becasuse I knew she'd like what she saw.

The same pants I usually wore when hunting, a black tight t-shirt and a black windbreaker. All in fabrics that didn't make much sound. I quickly assembled my rifle (and put the silencer on it) and hung it over my shoulder and but my other two guns in their holsters. I wasn't really planning on using it unless we were attacked, since they'd cause to much damage to the meat. I pulled out some thick string out o my bag and a knife. The best way to hunt would probably be by setting traps.

"Are you done yet?" She sounded anoyed.

"Yes, I am," I said with a smile and pulled a hand trough my hair. "I'm going to put up some snares to begin with. What about you?"

"Well, I was supposed to make sure that you don't get yoursele killed, wasn't I?" I couldn't quite tell if it was me or Rivanni she was pissed at.

I shrugged. "You can do as you please, but if you're going to come with me you'll have to be quiet." She looked insulted. Whoops. "Or you can go hunting on your own. I'm sure you're skilled enou.." I trailed of as I saw something move in the shadows behind her. I slowly took the rifle from my shoulder, telling her to step aside with a slight nod. I took aim between two sparking eyes. I couldn't tell if it was a cougar or possibly a wolf. It wasn't human anyway, and probably eateble, so I shot it. The shot didn't make much sound.

"Well, that went quicker than I thought," I said.

"What was it?"

"Not human," I responded and walked to the place where I had shot.. A cougar. "It's a cougar." Bullseye, right between its eyes.

"I can see that." She was standing right behind me. It had indeed been unnecessary to tell her to be quiet.

"You move quite well," I told her with a wry smile. "Better than me." Well that was an overstatement, but I wanted her to like me, didn't I?

Alvarin, how rude of you to say such things about Luna!! She's much quieter than that and wouldn't let what Eric said get to her! :) Hehe

We'd started a little ways out with Eric behind me when he stopped and set down his bag to open it. I stopped to look back at him.

"I need to change. Can't run around here in a suit." he said. "Feel free to look away.. Or not."

I just raised my eye brow at him as he smirked while beginning to change. I did watch as he changed, but just out of curiosity. Tight black T-shirt, no doubt to show off his Biceps and pecs, and black wind breaker. He geared up with something else I didn't pay attention to and took his sweet time about it. Normally, things like this didn't get to me, but for some reason, it did this time.

"Are you done yet?" I didn't mean to sound annoyed, but he was wasting time.

"Yes, I am," he said with a smile and pulled a hand trough his hair. "I'm going to put up some snares to begin with. What about you?"

"Well," I begin with a resigned sigh. "I was supposed to make sure that you don't get yourself killed, wasn't I?"

He shrugged. "You can do as you please, but if you're going to come with me you'll have to be quiet."

That made me laugh. I always watch my step. If anything, he was hearing his own feet stomping along the ground. If someone were to locate us due to something like heavy feet, it was him.

"Or you can go hunting on your own. I'm sure you're skilled enou.." his voice trailed off, but I wasn't listening to him anymore.

Something behind me caught my ear. Instead of reacting, I decided to see What Eric had since he had finally noticed it. He motioned for me to step aside and I did. One quick pop, and it was over. I gave a small shrug. So maybe he wasn't all talk after all.

"What was it?" I hadn't turned to look at it since Eric had gotten it, so I don't know where fell.

"Not human," he responded and walked to the place where I had shot.. A cougar. "It's a cougar." Bulls eye, right between its eyes.

"I can see that." I knelt down beside the wild cat and looked at the shot. slightly off center, but he probably thought it was dead center.

"You move quite well," he told me with a wry smile. "Better than me."

Wasn't that the truth. He was too full of himself to realize he was the one making all of the noise. He was just trying to butter me up so i'd like him. It wasn't working. If I were on the opposite team, he would've already been dead. Instead of replying, I turned back toward the cougar and picked it up before tossing it at him. "You kill, you carry. I'll take the next one and we can set up traps after eating, or whenever you want. You can head back to camp if you want."

"I'm debating...." he rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"If we end up running into the group we're going against, you'll just slow me down, and most like get up both killed." I crossed my arms over my chest. "your choice."

"Well," he said. "when you put it that way..."

Before he could finish his sentence, something stirred the bushed to the far right. Without thinking, I pulled one of my Sai and out and sent it flying towards the sound. What ever it was, is now dead. I walked over to take a look and smiled. A good and dead buck that weighed at least 275 lbs. I got down beside it to pull my Sai out and wipe away the blood. Off by a millimeter. Eric sounded a low whistle behind me.

"Remind me to never piss you off." he chuckled.

I spun around to look him straight in the eye. "Never piss me off."

His eyes wandered down the dead deer. "That looks a bit heavy. If you want I could carry-"

He stopped talking when I tossed the deer over my shoulder like it was nothing and started back for camp. "I'm stronger than you'd think."

"Most certainly." he mumbled as he walked behind me.

And again with the heavy foot steps and the slow walking. I was carrying more weight than he was. I picked up the pace a little. "Move your ass, Gray. Not gettin' any older."

"Would ya slow down a little!!" He hissed a whisper.

I smiled. No wonder Sgt. Gibbs loved his job. Busting someone's balls was fun. I broke off into a run. "Keep it moving!!"

I heard him swear behind me as he tried to keep up. By the time we broke through the trees, he said he needed to take a breather. Eric dropped the cougar down by the fire and dropped down onto a log. I dropped my kill down by the fire and took the seat i'd had.

"Enjoy your hunting?" Dill asked, noticing Eric's slightly disheveled state.

I slid down to the ground to let my back rest against the log and looked at him with a smirk. "Nothing out of the ordinary. Did we miss anything?"

"Apparently we did." his gaze slid toward Eric, then the Deer, then at me. "Who killed the Deer?"

I motion to myself. He nodded in approval. "You came running through the tree without making a sound, and you don't look like you've even broken a sweat."

I shrugged. "I like to keep in shape."

"So we've seen." Cole commented.

"Now that you mention it," I look at Dill before fanning my face. "Sitting in front of the fire is kind of making me feel heated."

I pulled of my jacket and stretched, letting my back arch lightly with a little purr. My snug black tank top slid up my stomach letting my silver tear drop piercing at my navel, Yin and yang tattoo on my right hip, and the crescent moon tattoo that curled around my navel.

I sat down beside the deer, positioning the knife at it's stomach and cutting it open to let the guts tumble out.

"Phew!" I waved a hand in front of my nose. "That's ripe."

A few people shuffled uncomfortably and I smiled. It didn't take me long to skin and clean it off. "Who's hungry?"

I run a hand through my hair and sigh. "I'll do it." I stated tiredly.

"Do what?" Luna asked, her eyes widening a bit, remembering that I was even there.

"Cook." I said, and proceeded to get up and head into the dark forest.

"Well if your going to the cook...shouldn't you get the food first?" She asked me as I continued my trek towards the forest.

"This suit is Georgio Armani and cost $1,789.00 Luna, and if you expect me to get this dirty then you are definitely in for a rude awakening. I'm going to change, then i'm going to take a leak, and then I will show you all that i'm not only talented in the bedroom but in the kitchen by cooking that nasty thing." I say all of this without turning my back and stopped when I was far enough that no one could see me. Where no one could see the scars. When I'm reaching back to untie my neck tie I feel the thick now pink and healed scar on my neck from my childhood and grimace.
I quickly change into a loose pair of sweat pants and a dark gray hoodie. Then I untied my luis vuitton dress shoes and replaced them with a pair of gray air jordans. I didn't bring any particular "attractive workout clothes" on purpose. Having a woman right now would just distract me. Unless it was that really cute redhead. Or that hot latina. Or Luna. But each of them...could be hiding something just as dark as what I was hiding. As I'm pissing I see him then. Quietly moving about the forest searching for threats. That damn creepy guy with the leash. But I do need to start getting allies. Dangerous allies. And who would be better for it than that psycho Ten.
I whistle to him to get his attention. He snaps his head towards me and for a second gets this manic ready-to-kill look in his eyes. But then he recognizes me and looks almost sad to.

"Ten, can you come here a sec?" I ask slowly and evenly. He approaches me slowly and looks pretty guarded at first. I had been watching as Dill spoke to him and made sure not to make any sudden quick movements or anything since I was still a stranger.

"What do you want?" Ten asks when he's about ten feet away from me.

I smile and say " Not what do I want, but what you want." I say and take out my fully charged phone and hand it to him. His eyes get bright as soon as he see's it and he snatches it out of my hand almost immediately.

"What games do you have on here?" He asks excitedly, and as he scrolls through the huge selection of games i slowly take out a king size kit kat bar.

"Any game you'd want to play." I say with a chuckle " But to access any of the games you need my password. And if you promise to do what I want i'll make sure to keep the phone charged for you the whole stay here and and give you candy once a day." His eyes got bright once again, and he tried to snatch the candy out of my hand but I put it behind my back quickly and put up one finger.

"Not yet Ten," I say and then he gets this wild crazed look in his face, like he's ready to kill me for the chocolate "No, I want you to promise first."

He nodded his head fast and quickly said "What do you want?"

"One, I would like us to meet up over here once a day, every night. Two I want you to keep this a secret from Dill. If he asks you where you got the phone just say that you asked me for it and I said whatever. And three, I want us to be allies. So that means that you don't kill me, and we do things for each other. Like me giving you my phone and candy and you protecting me if or when I need it. Now...Do we have a deal?" I ask.

His face scrunches up in concentration as I wait patiently for his answer.

Cole sighed. "I'll do it."

Having forgotten about him, I look up. "Do what?"

"Cook." he said, and proceeded to get up and head into the dark forest.

"Well if your going to the cook...shouldn't you get the food first?" I raise and eyebrow at his retreating back.

"This suit is Georgio Armani and cost $1,789.00 Luna, and if you expect me to get this dirty then you are definitely in for a rude awakening. "Well, what the hell do you expect when you wear an $1800 suit for something like this?" I shake my head and finish cutting up the jaguar.

"So," Dill started. "I think everyone here is interested to know your back ground, Luna. Why don't you tell us about yourself?"

I sit back from the jaguar and look at him, then at everyone else. "Really?"

"I sure as hell know I would." Eric spoke up.

"Does everyone feel this way?" I stand up and take my place back at the log.

"I find myself quite curious." Carmen nodded.

"Ok." I sit back and realx. "My father was an army ranger, my uncle joined the Marines, and my other uncle was a Navy Seal. My mother's side of the family studied medicine. I was always either in a hospital, of out on the range with dad and my sister. I took more of a liking to guns, so when I turned eighteen, I joined the Marine. Since I had prior weapons and extensive knowledge in hand to hand combat training, they put me in Spec Ops where I became a sniper. And I also dabbled in a little intelligence because of my hacking skills. After I got out, I went black Ops for a while."

"What did you do?" Belle asked.

"Interrogation." the smile that crept into my face was probably anything but sweet.

"Were you any good?" Eric asked.

"I could break anyone they gave me." I nodded. "It was fun too."

"What about the weapons training?" Carmen spoke.

"Since I was 10. I learned how to shoot what ever my dad gave me. Even learned archery. My favorite is long bow. I'm a master bowman." I look up at the sky and think how beautiful the stars look.

I stopped talking after that.

"You talked about hand to hand combat?" Dill nudged.

I almost laughed. "Martial arts."

"Like what kind?" he asked.

I did laugh this time. "Why so curious all of a sudden?"

"You were the only one who didn't say anything while we were in transport." Dill shrugged. "That just made me curious."

I sighed. Fine. "I have a black belts in briazilian jujitsu, Karate, and kung fu."

"Kung fu? Karate?" Eric ran a hand through his hair.

"Mu shu and Northen shaolin in kung fu, Muay thai and Taekwondo in karate." I say proudly.

"And you learned all of this..." Dill's sentence trailed off.

"Over the course of eight years." I finished.

"What over that span of eight years?" Eric asked as he came from the trees.

"My black belts in martial arts." I answered.

"So," Eric looked at me. "you're like a walking weapon."

"Basically." I shrugged. "And I hate being touched. The last person who did got his wrist snapped like a twig. Just a heads up."

It got quiet after I said that. I was happy for that. I hated talking about myself. But what I loved was looking up at the stars, so that's what I did.

Sorry I've been gone so long. You know, holidays and stuff.

Ten and Dill

(I think it's due time for a fight.)

Ten

"Now... Do we have a deal?"

I flip the phone over in my hands. I don't care, I just want to play. And that candy, I just want that candy too. And Dill's games don't work anymore, and Mr. Baxter is a friend? Right. A friend with candy and games. But secrets from Dill... My gut clenches and I lay my hand over it softly, prodding the contracted muscles with my spread fingers. You don't keep secrets from Dill. That's not how it works. Not Dill, no secrets, ever. Never.

"Ten?"

I snap my head back up only to snap it back down again. Mr. Baxter is a friend with games and candy. And the secret is not a bad secret, like taking extra food after dinner is already over. The secret is not a bad one. And Mr. Baxter has games and candy, and he is a friend.

"Do you have more chocolate?"

He nods.

"You have a deal," I start slowly, pronouncing each syllable carefully. Mr. Baxter smiles and holds out his hand for a shake. I start at the gesture, recoil back, and glare at the appendage. You shake hands when deals are made, I've seen Dill do it lots of times. I grip Mr. Baxter's hands, they're rougher than they look, and shake it quickly before dropping it.

"Thank you," he says, and then he hands me the chocolate. I smile widly as I rip the wrapper off and the whole thing is gone in a matter of seconds.

"Thank you for the chocolate."

"No problem."

"I.. um.. I have to go and finish what Dill told me to do."

I run back off into the forest without waiting for a reply. Mr. Baxter's phone sits like a prize in my back pocket.

Dill is going to kill you when he finds out what you did.

"Dill will not kill me, London," I hiss through clenched teeth, but still my heart stalls at the thought. "Dill would never kill me..."

Remember when we though Dill wouldn't kill Alice? Because Dill loved Alice, didn't he, idiot? Dill loved Alice almost as much as he loves us-

"Me! He loves me! Not you, just me!"

-and now she's dead, isn't she? Or maybe he won't even kill you. Maybe he'll just leave you, because you're an idiot for doing that. And as soon as I get the chance, I'm telling.

"You wouldn't..."

I would. I'd do it happily. Maybe with him gone I'd get more play-time. Oh, I'm definitely telling.

I stumble mid run and go toppling over myself, rolling down a steep incline before coming to a stop on the trunk of a tree. I don't feel any pain though, but my heart is racing and I can hear my blood pumping in my ears.

"London, please..."

Remember the basement? Remember how he left you there? And you think he wouldn't kill you for betraying him.

"I didn't-"

For keeping secrets.

"It is not a bad-"

For putting your trust in a stranger.

"Mr. Baxter is a friend!"

"Who's there?"

London disappears like a ghost, leaving me alone at the perimeter of an enemy camp. I stop breathing and slowly back up, not making a single noise.

"Someone go check out the area. I think I heard something."

A grin cracks my face and I curl my toes in anticipation. First blood already, I was nearly drooling at the thought. And Dill said I could kill anyone I didn't know. He gave me permission. The smile widened to the point where it hurt to keep it on my face. Our camp wasn't that far from here. Footsteps sounded somewhere to my left and I snapped my head in that direction and risked a low chuckle. They would hear if I screamed loud enough. I laughed again, a bit louder. My heart pounded in my chest.

"Did you hear that?"

I let out a scream, loud enough that it hurt my ears and strained my throat, to let Dill know something was happening, and then I lunged for the first face I saw.

The sudden scream startled me. It didn't sound like it was very far away.

"It's Ten," Rivanni explained. "He has found another team."

I smiled, stood up and slung my rifle over my shoulder. "We'd better get going then. I'll back you guys up from behind," I said and started toward the place where I had heard the sound. I hadn't quite decided if I was going to climb up a tree and shoot from there, or simply hide in the bushes. It was probably better if I decided when I got there and knew what type if terrain I had to deal with.

My heart was racing and I could feel the adrenaline pumping. I had wanted to do this for as long as I could remember. To kill a human being. It had to be more thrilling than killing an animal, right?

I was drawn from my thoughts when I stepped on an.. Arm? I looked down at the corpse by my feat. Something, or someone, had teared the poor guy to shreds. "Oh, that's disgusting," I said when I heard one of my teammates stopping behind me, but I couldn't hide my smile.

"Man, there's something seriously wrong with you." It was Cole.

I ignored his comment and continued as Luna passed me, barely glancing at the corpse. I spotted a tree much higher than the others around it, and decided to climb up. There seemed to be a clearing further ahead, and I would have the perfect view over it from that tree.

Once I was comfortably sitting on a branch with the rifle supported on another branch I surveyed the area through my scope. Ten was tearing up someone else, and didn't really look like he needed any help. Luna was also fighting, showing some of her best karate moves. There was another person approaching her from behind, so I aimed at his head, pulled the trigger and smiled as his head exploded. I had done it. I had finally done it.

There was a commotion in the woods, so we all went to check it out. Eric stepped on something.

"Oh, that's disgusting," something in his voice told me he wasn't frowning.

"Man, there's something seriously wrong with you." I heard Cole say.

I smiled. I didn't stop to see what it was, because I didn't really care. As I made my way by, I spotted movement to my right and headed for it. I blocked a hand that came out of nowhere and dodged a kick coming at my head. Another hit came from the darkness I blocked and took a step back. A man emerged from the darkness and threw a punch that missed me by an inch. I came at him with a jump kick, then a spin kick that sent him to the ground. We circled each other for a moment and came went at it. We threw a low kick, our ankles clashing before pulling back. I ran at him with a scissor kick and twisted in mid air with a slap to the face, catching him off guard. He threw flurry of punches I easily deflected and got him with a head butt. He fell back, but recovered quickly. Suddenly feeling there was someone behind me, I felt this needed to hurry along.

All of a sudden he switched, coming at me with a wing chun slap. Oh. So he knows kung fu too? Time to end this. I came at him so fast he didn't have time to react, I hit him with the same thing he thought he could get me with, and had him doing a 180 spin. I came up behind him, positioned one hand on the left side of his chin, the other on the right side of his head, and with one fierce yank, he dropped to the floor. As I turn to deal with the other one, a shot rings out, and the guy's head explodes, sending blood and matter everywhere. Especially me. I close my eyes and mouth so as nothing can slither it's way into my blood stream, because there's no telling what these people have. Wiping the gunk off of my face, I open my eyes and stare at the spot Where Eric was. "Thanks for that!!"

Now i'd have to clean my self up. Since everything looked to be in order, I headed of to find a place to wash up. Just after breaking through the tree line, someone calls, "Hey! Wait up!"
