Hey guys, sorry this is late but I had lost power!

Melody Reed

I wake up to my alarm clock radio blaring the song "Welcome to my life" by Simple Plan. That song so perfectly describes me. I get up and get ready for school, pulling on black shorts, a nice teal shirt and a black headband with a teal flower on it. I put on my sneakers and walk to the bus stop. I put my headphones on and pull out the used ipod I got at the used book store. They have everythung there, way more than just books. As usual I'm the first one here. I sit on the side walk and wait. To pass the time I pull out the guitar grandpa gave me. Its a beautiful black acoustic with green patterns all over. A very nice guitar. I take it everywhere with me. Two kids show up. I smile at them, trying to be nice. They roll their eyes at me before tgey start making out. They practically suck each others faces off. I put my guitar away as more people arrive. Then the bus comes to take us to school, oras I call it, hell. Everyone leaves me alone on the bus, but all that changes when I get to school.

They push me and shove me into lockers. Some even knock me on the ground and kick me before I can get up. I dont let it bother me though. I head straoght for homeroom, which for me is piano. I have a lot of music classes because I was always a few years a head, so I finished my academic rrequirements already. I get into class, of course first to arrive, and put my stuff down. I notice that Ms. Gynn isn't here, that we have a sub. He looks a loy younger than Ms. Gynn. He cant be more than24, and thats a high guess. He has somethingabout him, something suspicious in the look in his eye. I sit at my assigned keyboard and start playing ournewest piece to clear my mind, but he comes over and stands right behind me. I dont know what it is, but he just seems very suspicious. He's about to say something when another student walks in. A senior guy. Then the teacher goes to his desk and the aenior comes over to me, "Hey."

Sorry I didn't ask sooner but can I join? Male Client? If so I hope this is alright.

Name: Alexander Bannon

Nickname: Lex

Age: 17 years old

Gender: Male

Appearance: Lex is tall and thin with evenly tanned skin and a mop of dark brown curly hair. His eyes are a warm dark brown colour and he wears a pair of thick rimmed black glasses most of the time (when he doesn’t have his contacts in.) He has about average face and a crooked smile that he wears most of the time. He likes wearing his favourite pair of red converse snaekers, loose blue jeans and some sort of tee-shirt. He also wears a cross around his neck on a long silver chain.

Leo.jpg (6.88 KiB) Viewed 239 times

Personality:
Lex is a pretty carefree guy outwardly. He likes playing sports (even if he isn’t the best at most of them) and plays a lot of music, alternating between piano/ keyboard and guitar (he’s pretty good at both). He likes meeting new people and certainly isn’t shy when it comes to talking to people he doesn’t know. He can be very encouraging and always has a certain sense of what to say when people are upset though he isn’t very good at talking to people when HE is upset. He does have a darker side though that most people never see and can hold grudges for a long time. Lex can be very competitive at times and though he isn’t one to start fights (most of the time) he’ll never turn them down either.

History: Lex’s dad was killed in a car accident when he was nine years old and his mother couldn’t afford to look after him or his little sister Kara. They were both sent to live with their uncle (father’s younger brother) on the other side of the country but always did their best to keep in contact with their mother and even went to stay with her every Christmas. Lex formed a band with a few mates and life was going alright for a while. Then Lex’s uncle got a job promotion... halfway across the country. They had to leave everyone behind when they did so and start at a new school for Lex’s Last year at school. Lex’s dream is to somehow get a good job (to do with music) or to form another band.

Occupation: High Senior. He was also the guitarist in a band that he and a few mates formed before they had to move away.

Up for love: Yes.

Other: The things he value most are his family and music.

Thank whatever gods there may or may not be for Facebook, because on Facebook you have to friend everyone you know, so I can read his statuses. His poetry is like, unbelievable. Like, Elizabeth Barrett Browning plus Shakespeare. And yes, all right, I know their poetry. I started reading it after I met him.

His poetry can make you feel miserable or like you’re flying with happiness. And I know it’s original because I look it up just to make sure he’s not plagiarising. Every time I read it, I just love him more and more and I know I want him; some way, somehow, I have to be with him. But of course that’s impossible if I want to keep any friends or status or anything...

I put down my phone and floor it through the yellow light. “Suck it up,” I mutter to the honking horns at the intersection. I’m late for school. At least, I’m late for being early for school. The only way you can talk to anybody without having a teacher breathing down your neck every two seconds is to get there way before the bell—well, that’s what I tell everyone. Really, it’s just that I don’t have any classes with Daniel until like fourth period and he always gets to school early...I am so majorly obsessed; it’s pathetic.

I pull into my parking space at school and check my makeup. Will, my actual boyfriend, is standing over by his car, waiting for me. But I’m not dealing with that today. It’s Monday, I haven’t seen Daniel all weekend, and there he is walking up the steps to school and if I’ve got to talk to Will I’m going to miss him.

I step out of my car in a leisurely way and walk across the grass, purposely ignoring Will, who comes up alongside me. “Hey, baby,” he says. I just give him a cold look and walk away. He knows that means I’m mad at him. Why? I’ll have to figure that out later. Right now Daniel is disappearing.

I don’t make it in time; he’s not in the crowded hall by the time I get there. I curse under my breath and, not looking where I’m going, I accidentally run into this freakishly tall redhead. She slams against a locker. Prom queens never apologise for anything, so I go on toward homeroom without looking back.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a large fortune must be in want of a wife.

Lex

I wake up fairly early for once, sitting up in my ‘new’ room and putting my glasses on, only a few seconds before my little sister Kara barges in. “Wake up, silly!” She grins, already dressed for her first day, “It’s the first day of school!”

I push myself up off the bed and grin at her, “Alright, alright. I’m up, “I pause a second, noting how eager she looks, “Somebody excited?”
She nods, “Yes! This is going to be soooo cool. This place is so much bigger than the other place. And look!” she nods to her outfit, “No uniform!”
I grin, looking at the clock, “Is Uncle Riley up?” She shrugs, dashing off to see whether he is or not.

I shake my head, smiling after her and pull a pair of jeans out of my cupboard. Then I grab a random green tee shirt, throwing them both on. Then I tug on my red sneakers, grab a jacket from my closet, slinging my bag over my shoulder before I walk out, to my car.

We don’t live all that far away from the school, so it doesn’t take me all that long to get there, park my car in the parking lot and walk towards the office to get my class schedule.

Then I head for homeroom, which luckily enough, turns out to be in a music room. There are only a few other people there and everyone is playing some sort of instrument. I smile; maybe this school won’t be so bad.

The teacher sitting behind the desk turns his head up to look at me with a strange look in his eye before he hands me a sheet of music. “Alexander Bannon?”

I nod and he gestures for a keyboard at the edge of the room- near a girl with red hair- and I look down at the music before I wander over to the keyboard that the quiet “teacher” assigned to me.

I scan over the music and then glance at the sheet music that the girl’s playing. They look the same so for a second I just sit and listen to her play, getting the rhythm of the music into my head and can’t help but notice how amazingly she plays.

“Hey,” I say when she’s finished, “You’re really good.” From the other side of the room I can feel the teacher’s gaze burning into the back of my head.

"You're really good." he says. I feel myself blushing. "Thanks." I say with a smile. I hold out my hand for him to shake. "I'm Melody, but you can call me Mel." He grasps my hand and we shake. "Lex Bannon." I know I'm still blushing. No guy, well really nobody at all except Amy, have ever taken interest in me before. He sits at the keyboard beside me and we talk for a few minutes. Then he starts to play. He's not bad. Not bad at all. I definately could see him in a band. This could work out, Amy and I were thinking of starting one. "So do you wanna sit with me at lunch today?" I ask. My face feels hotter than fire. I almost pass out at his response, "Sure.".

After class I look for Amy in the hall. "You'll never guess what happened!" I tell her everything. She's really excited and is glad we're gonna be starting up a band probably. One problem. We need a drummer. I'm gonna sing and play guitar, she plays bass, if we have Lex on keyboard, we just need a drummer. Im getting way ahead of myself and so is Amy. We dont even know if Lex will be up for it, I really hope he is though. I cant wait until lunch so I could ask him.

I sit at the end of the table. Staff meetings and for correction and making sure they are taken care of. "Okay listen up." I say taking control of the room. "Thing have been getting slower down here. We are going to have to start making some changes. I need more people to come to Dreamers Inc. and I want them to be here as soon as possible." I demand.

"What do we need to do?" Someone asks.

I stand up from my chair and walk around it, placing my hands on the back of it. "I need the sellers and the advertisement team to do a better job." I start. "I want you to knock on every door in the nation if that is what it takes. I want there to be a millions of posters on buses, billboards, benches. We need to start a new commercials." I say. "Go to high schools and tell about it on the morning announcements. There are a thousand things you could do and you are not doing them." I say. "Sellers and advertisers, you are hired for a reason. I gave you this job and I will take it away if necessary." I say.

I sit back down in my chair. "Anything else?" I ask. I look and everyone shakes their heads. "Okay that is all for today." I say.

I woke up to a Doctor Who theme song alarm. Opening my eyes, I saw the dark skies shadow the sun. Might be a stormy day today, I thought. I slid out of bed, stretching my arms above my head. My puppy, Frenchie, was lying on my pillow, sleeping softly.

Finally, I was awake, away from Nightmare Central. Every night I had a terrible nightmare. I've gotten used to it, but it scared me sometimes. Like last night. I had a dream that an airplane his the airport while I was on duty, just a couple feet away from me.

"Hey baby," I smiled at my puppy. She just yawned and dozed back to sleep.

Jumping out of bed, I rushed to the bathroom. I did my thing and in a few minutes, I was out and ready.

"Sis," Peter was at my door.

"Someone's finally up before me..." I smiled.

"How could I sleep with you screaming all night? Are those nightmares getting worse?"

I shivered at the memory of the plane breaking through the windows, killing people as it blew through the airport.

"I'm guessing yes." he sighed, pointing at my face. "You need a dream catcher, those work man. I remember when we used it on you before. Remember?"

"Yeah, it did work."

"Exactly. That's on the To-Do list sis. But those nightmares could be triggered by stress... have any of that?"

Thinking about it for a moment, I have had a lot of stress. With work, being yelled at by my boss to do this, do that. My best friend ignoring me for no real reason, just because. And my love life just getting complicated with every second I live.

"Yeah man, horrible."

He brushed his hand through his blonde hair, sighing. "You need to chill out!" he laughed.

"Whatever, it's easy to say brah."

Walking out, I followed after him, grabbing my backpack. It had all my work stuff in it, like uniform and such. We ran into the kitchen, everything on one floor since it was an apartment. My parents were sleeping soundly so I tried to keep quiet.

"We should eat breakfast on the way to work. The rents are sleeping." Peter said.

Nodding, I replied. "Este bien,"

Lex Bannon

As the bell rings for the end of homeroom, everybody hands back there sheet music into the strange teacher that Mel mentioned was a substitute.

He glares at everybody as they walk by, scrunching his face up into the strangest expression that I have ever seen.

I wonder if all the teachers are like this…
Nobody dares to say a word until there outside of the classroom and I shake my head.

This is NOTHING like my old school, that’s for sure.
Around an hour, two classes later, I walk out of the maths classroom, trying to find my “assigned” locker.
138.

I look up and down the hall, finding every number but mine and start to think that maybe they made a mistake on the sheet or something, seeing as the lockers in this hall only go up to the 150’s.

Eventually I spot another section in the next pathway, mentally whack myself for not looking there earlier and walk towards my locker. I shove a few of the books I don’t need for the rest of the day in and try to organise them a bit.

Then, I look at my watch. It’s about lunchtime (well, according to the standards of my own school…) but the bell hasn’t rang yet. Maybe it’s different here…
Just overhead a bell starts screeching, nearly making me go deaf.

Well that answers that question. I check my watch again. I’m supposed to be meeting that girl Mel from homeroom for lunch now…

Quickly I walk towards the cafeteria that I had to walk past on my way to maths last period, thinking about how much Kara was right. This school is huge!

I walked into the lunch shift I had been assigned to, and after an already stressful day of tests and late arrivals (I had to drop off my siblings again at school, because my parents were still dead to the world after a long night of party-ing, sleeping off their hangovers), I fund that I did not know anyone in my lunchshift. After getting my lunch, a gross mashed-up chicken-parts sandwich that's probably a few days old, I stood around in the middle of the cafteria, looking for somewhere to sit. Eventually, I see a girl I don't even know start waving in my direction. I look behind me, thinking they are waving at someone else. When I don't see anyone else, I head over, relieved.

"Hey," I say to the girl that waved me over. "My name's Kate." I say with a self-concious smile.

"Melody." she smiled, her red hair flying. "Come on, don't be shy." she patted the seat next to her and I sat down, smoothing out my jeans. "This is Amy." She pointed to the girl sitting opposite us, a girl with short blonde hair and a bubbly personality. "And this is Lex." she said, nodding to the one guy at the table. Also, it sseems, the only other senior. He's cute in a geeky kind of way.

"Hey." I say to them. They say hi back, both of them actually seeming happy to have a fourth in their group. I guess this is the island of misfit toys. I already feel at home.

After talking for a while about random things, Melody asks out of the blue, "Hey, do you play drums?"

"Yeah.... why?"

"Can you be in our band?"

"Sure!" I say, "Oh, uh, I have a job afterschool and then I volenteer at the animal shelter on the weeknds.

"Well, when do you go home from the shelter on the weekends?"

"Around four."

"We can make that work." she says, smiling. I see the same smile on Amy and Lex's faces, and it must be reflected in mine as well. The bell rings.

IF YOU NEED GUYS, I CAN MAKE A GUY PROFILE

Hermione

The start of fifth period wasn't one I was excited for. One, it was Science. Two, it reminded me of my crush whom I worked with, he doesn't go to my school. Three, the teacher, Ms. Sherwalker, surely needs a massage. And lastly, Four, I simply hated Science. The end.

"Attention! Attention!" Ms. Sherwalker, a mid-thirty year old teacher, said through the intense loudness of the class.

We all shut up, automatically giving our full attention on her. You could see the grey in her hair developing at every stress point we hit.

"Pop quiz!" the class moaned. "Get your pencils ready and if you protest, I will give you another quiz."

All I wanted to do was leave. I didn't need a quiz now, especially since I didn't bother to read over my notes. She passed out the sheets anyway, one by one to each desk.

The Body. The was the topic. Wonderful. Reminded me even more of the guy I like, stupid one, he wants to be a surgeon. If only he would text me once in a while.
