City by the Sea 2

Alexis

They call his name and he stands to go. I smile at him as he leaves. I am so worried something is wrong.

Elijah

I walk into the office without Alexis and am examined by the doctor. Once he diagnoses me, I head back out and sigh.

Alexis

I play around with my phone. Every time the door opens, I pop up. Finally Elijah comes out. "Is everything okay?"

Elijah

I nod and flash a smile, "S'just pneumonia."

Alexis

"Just pneumonia?" I sa worried out of my mind, but I try not to show it. "Are they going to keep you here or give you meds?" I ask.

Elijah

I flash a smile at her, "I got antibiotics. I just need rest."

Alexis

I smile back and we go to sign him out. We head back to the car and drive home. Once we get the, we get out and go into my house. I take his meds out that we got at the doctor. I fix him some water and read the back of the pill bottle. I give him one pill and the water.

Elijah

I smile at her when she hands over the water and pill, swallowing it down.

Alexis

He goes and sits down on the couch. I look at the sideffects on the bottle. The main ones I see are dizziness and some fancy word for what I call mood swings. I go sit with him thinking this could be a crazy day.

Elijah

I blink a few times, the room spinning slightly, and sit back. Curling up, I close my eyes and wait for things to stop moving.

Alexis

I smile and run my fingers over his hair.

Elijah

I smile at Alexis before breaking out into a coughing fit.

Alexis

I sigh and rub his back, hating the fact he is sick.

Elijah

I cuddle into her when I'm done, sighing.

Alexis

I smile as he cuddles up to me. I keep running my fingers through his hair a smile on my face.
