I tell him where to turn and we soon arrive. Once we park, he opens the door for me and we get out. I grip his hand as we walk in. As we do, my students come up to me and hug me.
"Alexis you look so pretty." One says.
"Who is this?" They say pointing to Elijah.
"Is he your boyfriend?" They all laugh.
I smile and nod. "That he is and why are you guys out here, you need to be getting ready?"
They nod and run back into the dressing room. I shake my head. "They are something else." I tell Elijah.

Time flies by. The show when great and my best students are going to New York. I lean Elijah to the dinner table where we sit with the fashion editors. I grip Elijah's hand as they bring us our drinks. Every thing looks great and so fancy. I take a sip on the clear liquid and soon find it is not water. It tastes a little like grape juice, but with a kick. It tastes good, so I continue to drink it.

Sitting at Alexis's side, I continue small talk with her bosses and laugh when they tell jokes, even if they aren't funny. When brought our drinks, I easily spot that they're serving alcohol and wonder if Alexis knows this as well. She downs glass after glass and I begin to think I should tell her to stop.

They bring the food and we eat. I finally catch on that something is not right, when I can hardly cut my food. I lean over and whisper in Elijah's ear. "I think there is something wrong with me. I am pretty sure I am joining to embarrass myself, so can you take me home?" I ask. Hoping I do not upset him.

I study her before nodding and excusing us. Taking her hand, I lead her out of the building and to the car. She stumbles slightly and I begin to realize how tipsy she is.

I stumble and Elijah supports me. He helps me into the car and buckles me up. He gets in and drives to the house. I burst out laughing. I have no idea what is funny, but I can just not stop.
He leads me into the house when we arrive. He opens the door and goes in and sits down. I manage to take my shoes off and go over to him. I sit across his lap and wrap one arm around his neck. With the other, I pull him in to a kiss. Once I pull away, I study him. I stroke his chest with my free hand. "Elijah, I think you and I should," I begin. "you know, have sex." I say.

To have more, you have to become more. Don't wish it was easier - wish you were better. For things to change, you have to change, and for things to get better, you have to get better. — Jim Rohn
