I yanked out the fans and twisted them in my fists snapping them with little effort. I knew from the way my shoulders were pulsing I was going to be a bit useless for a few days. "Hey Sierra." I said and she turned. While she was looking at me Jake grabbed Seth's skull and faded back into the shadows. I threw the fans at her feet and smiled at her expression. She looked a mixture of pissed off and shocked. "Yeah I can still move." I said and then threw knives at her. She doged all but two. One caught her in the arm and the other cut her face. "Karma sweetheart!" I said pointing at my own wound. "Fallback!" Seth shouted and I looked at him surprised. I had been so focused on Sierra that I hadn't noticed Silver attacking Siobahn and Jake. Jake appeared beside me and handed me my throwing knives. We ran away as fast as we could Jake supporting Seth the best he was able. They all looked ticked off to run but I was grateful I wasn't sure how long I could have kept fighting we had definitely underestimated them again.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

I growled as the Death Born retreated. It ruined my fun that they called for evasive action when I was just getting warmed up. I shot a fireball at one of the Death Born and smiled when the shot hit his back. "Don't think this is over! The next time you come back, I'll be shooting rapid fire!"
The sound of Sierra crying stopped me from going on with my words.
By instinct, I brought her back inside and rekindled the fire that we had to keep us warm. I gently took the knife out of her arm and calmed her down. "It's over, princess. I can fix you up." I mixed some herbs and seeds from my pouch and crushed them in my ceramic mortar with the pestle. I grinded them until I made a light green mesh. I took out some bandage strips from my pouch, then applied the mesh on Sierra's wounds. Within minutes, I bandaged her wounds and a scratch on my right arm. I looked at Sierra. "Now are you thankful that I'm also a healer as well as a fighter? Only the Goddess knows when you might need to be patched up after a battle we've just been through."
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.
