Adam "Blademaster" Silverrune | Rebel Base
I crawled out of bed, trying not to wake up Eve. She was sleeping very soundly, so I stroked her stripes. She woke up and purred against my hand. "Good morning, Eve." I got dressed and took an inspection of my dagger. It's a surprise to my fellow rebels that I have the ability to use fire and ice with my dagger. My personal dagger was the one for the ice, while another from combat was for the fire. I never knew I could do that until I first went into combat. I left a guard dead and frostbitten from my dagger, then had another guard severely burned from the dagger I stole from the first guard. It was long before I had Eve with me and now I was known to the rebels as the Blademaster or - so I've been told - King of Daggers. The latter, although suited me, was a title I always hated because it reminded me too much of the oppression my parents were put through before they died.
All my life, I've been dirt-poor and my parents barely had enough money left in their pockets to at least put food in my belly. Taxes were too unbearable for a bladesmith mother and a mining father to keep their son and only child fed. I tried to at least be happy in front of my parents, but the oppression took its toll on me as soon as I was old enough to work. My parents tried everything to keep me fed, but because of the taxes in the mountain range that was the land of my birth, I was only fed one meal a day for life and it didn't seem fair at all. After my parents died, I vowed to end the reign of the King of Diamonds & Spades in the name of my fellow mountain people. Everything in the mines of the mountains were high in price and high quality weapons were very few because of the taxes. I sighed as I strolled through the halls. "Soon enough, the King will fall and he will understand my pain." I walked on in silence, leaving Eve in my room.
