Hello! I'm new!

Hello there! I thought I'd write this to introduce myself and get to know a few people! My name is Matthew, I'm from the UK and I'm 23. I write novels, I've just self published my first one which is the first in a series of five. The second is written and now I'm just in the process of editing it in time for a Christmas release! Phew! It's hard work and a little draining at times but hopefully it will all pay off one day.

I'd love to get to know as many people as possible so please do tell me all about you or if you have any questions for me then do ask - I'll answer anything (well, almost anything lol.)

It's great to see you're working hard on your writing! Is it a career, or are you in school? Much luck on your publications! It's quite admirable.

Jabberhut - My novel is called "The Chronicles of Darkness: The Box of Annihilos" - it's the first in a series of 5 and it's supernatural fantasy. My website is www.chroniclesofdarkness.co.uk - please do have a look! I'd say my writing is my career for definate but as I'm still just starting out I have a day job in a boring office. I often find my mind wandering into new characters and plot twists whilst at my desk lol.

Audy - I did wonder if 23 was still young enough to be on a young writer's forum! I'm 24 soon as well, crikey I'm getting old. Poetry fascinates me but I just can't get to grips with writing it myself - it certainly is a great skill! I'd love to check out your work sometime. Thanks guys! Barefootrunner, I would actually really appreciate a review of my prologue to my first book - if you would be able to do it? How could we set this up? I know you can read it for free on my amazon page so I don't know if you could do it that way? If you have time of course! If you ever need any advice or help on your novel please do feel free to ask, I'm not an expert but I can offer you tips from my own experience! It is my first time on a writing site, and I don't really write anything apart from my novels - they take up quite a lot of time!

Yep! You'll find all ages here from 12-30 ^_^, so no worries! And pffft, you're still plenty young. I shall definitely take a look when I have the time. I'm always keen to read other's works, so this works out - haha!

I know your work is already published, and you may/may not want to re-post it on another site. Generally speaking, you can submit a work of your own by clicking on the "submit" button on the top left. Then just work your way through the prompts. Your work will then be posted under our "Browse" section tab, where most people go to review.

If you ever need reviews, here's a great place to go. You can find it under the "Forums" tab if you look under Writer's corner >> Will Review for Food - is a listing of all the people who are willing to review your work so long as you ask! (Just be sure to keep it to 2 requests every few days.)
