Okay, so! I haven't posted any art in a loooooong time. Most of these weren't taken vary seriously, so I don't need any in-depth reviews. I think I know what's wrong with them for the most part, but I did want to share! Enjoy!

These Kanto starters were drawn entirely on the computer (in GIMP), which is odd for me.

Image
Rainbow Dash! I couldn't help myself... she's just so... rainbow-y. Drawn in colored pencils, background and editing done in GIMP.

Image
Started as a doodle. Messing with the contrast and lighting gave it that cool, chalk-ish effect.

Image
Started as a doodle, but redrawn digitally and colored with textures. I do not own the textures.

As an experiement, I removed the line layer and thought it looked cool. The two versions are very different. Which one do you like best?

Image
Done with watercolor. It's far from perfect, but I really think it opened a door to a style I really like.
Oh, I wish I was punk-rocker with flowers in my hair.

Hey! I'm not going to be critical here.
1. Those pokemon look sooo cute. Especially with the shine and the pink on their cheeks. And bulbasaur looks adorable with the heart next to his eye.
2. I love rainbow theme here. I don't think the girl could get any prettier. You're very good at shading with pencil colors. Which ones do you use? I can only point out that the skin looks a little pale next to all those bright colors. You could darken it there and shade it as well.
3. First of all, I'd like to ask. What is that on the person's head and shoulder. It looks like a ghost cat or something. It's creepy but you took care of that with the flower and bow. :) For a doodle, this is really good. If you want, you can add a background and complete the drawing but leave it as you may please.
4. Hey I can see the clouds there. Very creative. The thing i loved most here are the eye shades and her mouth. The lips look perfect and you even gave a little shade to the nose and lower lip. (Another thing, the skull at the back of her shirt looks creepy. Maybe it should be higher otherwise it looks like there's something attached to the shirt.
5. I don't know which one is best because I like both drawings. They're both nice in their own way.
6. And the last. My favorite. You've done a lot of detailing in this one. You're a natural painter! :P And you're into rainbows, aren't you? This painting stands out more than any other. The amount creativeness and imagination you've used here has got to be a lot. Mixing all the colors together and also adding different shades to it is hard work. Fabulous job here. I've never reviewed any of your drawings before but I hope you're going to post more. Keep being artistic! :)

I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU POSTING, DAI!!!
:D

Love the Pokemon ^_^ I always picked Bulbasaur myself. I think the Squirtle is my favorite here, though, I just love that side glance it has.
Kinda bothered me that Charmander's outline wasn't completed on the top of its head, but I'm just being uber picky lol.

The colored pencil looks really interesting on top of the digital. Good job! The rainbows look nice. They also go really well with the sky blue shirt and white pants. The shoes and goggles are cute! I agree with Twinkle- the skin could use just a bit of shading.

I really love what you did with the next picture. The background looks SO good, even though its just solid color. And you're right, the people do look drawn in chalk!

The next pic is impressive too, I was really interested in the textures and the cloud hair. I would've never thought to color someone's hair like the sky. Very creative! Honestly, I think the outlined version is much better.

Lol, I probably don't have to tell you how awesome the last pic is cuz I think you know it, but still... I love it!! I mean, I don't know how much of the concept was taken from reference, but I really don't care. The brilliant way you colored it makes it look totally original to me. This must've taken a lot of paint and a lot of time. Even getting that rainbow teardrop must've taken a lot of concentration, getting it to drip in a straight line and then switching colors every inch.
I have zero complaints for this, haha :D
Did you color over it with colored pencil? For some reason it looks like that.

I'm so glad to see you posting again!! :D
The bad news is we don't have any control.
The good news is we can't make any mistakes.

OMGosh! What's the last one? I was confused... first I saw a green eyeball with a face and nose.... then I saw the girl leaning over... then the two little people! Wow! A lot to take in. LOVE it. Keep it up
