It is the year 195AL. Daemon Blackfyre has attempted to seize the Iron Throne for himself. The continent of Westeros is torn in half by the conflict. Smack in the middle of the biggest war in a century is you - perhaps a lowly peasant, a trader from the free cities, a knight, a sellsword, or maybe even a Sworn Brother of the Night's Watch. Whatever the case, war has been broken out and it is in your hands to end it...
So basically, just a fun little storybook set in the world of ASOIAF. I want there to be plenty of political intrigue and action and excitement, just like in the books... but set in a different time period. Character creation will be a bit complex in this one, as there are so many houses to choose from, free cities to belong to, and just in general so many options for your character. I don't care what you make your character, as long as it is realistic and fits within the world of ASOIAF. No elves, no pink haired enchantresses (you can still have pink hair... just make sure you're Tyroshi!). There is, however, one restriction on your character. You cannot be one of the major houses (Stark, Greyjoy, Baratheon, Tyrell, Arryn, Tully, Targaryen, Lannister, or Martell), or a bastard of one of the great houses. That being said, you can be literally any other house (presuming, of course, that it existed in 195AL) you want. From an Allyrion to a Wayn, you can be a member of any house, nearly. You can even be a bastard! Just make sure you list your parentage.
Combat is a big part of ASOIAF, from tourneys to full scale battles with tens of thousands of participants. In the heat of a battle, you can cut down as many footsoldiers and unimportant nobodies as you like. But if you happen to cross swords with someone's character, make sure the two of you have decided beforehand who the victor will be. And remember, there is a lot of medieval weaponry! You can wield a spear, a mace, a sword, a flail, a dagger, a bow, a crossbow, a warhammer, a battleaxe, a war axe, a halberd, you can fight Florentine or you can fight with a simple sword and shield, or maybe you prefer a greatsword! The decision is in your hands! If you're at all interested in being an Action Girl, you'll want to play as a Mormont. One important rule, however, is to only use a Valyrian steel sword if your house canonically owns one.
NOTE: I want there to be about ten characters (along with myself, for a total of eleven), so if you're super interested, reserve a spot or post a profile! If you reaaaaaaally want it I'll let a few extras in. Thanks!
RULES:
No godmodding, obviously.
No magic!
Don't swear anachronistically. Swearing is fine, but be period accurate if at all possible.
Use http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Main_Page if you have a question
No graphic sex. Mention it plenty if you want, but don't write out the scene.
No killing another character without their permission.

Well, that's about it... oh, that Wiki has a whole page about the Blackfyre Rebellion. Unless you want to play as one of the houses listed on that page, you can have whichever loyalty you want. Here's my profile.
Spoiler
Name - Ser Edric Mallister
Age - 26
House - Mallister
Loyalty - Targaryen
Appearance -
Tall and slender, Edric likes to keep a close trimmed beard to conceal a scar he received across the chin as a boy when a bowstring snapped and sliced his chin open. He wears shoulder length hair and usually keeps it tied back to keep it from flopping in front of his face in the heat of battle.
Preferred Weapon - Edric enters combat carrying his castle-forged longsword and a large kite shield emblazoned with his family's coat of arms, a silver eagle on a purple field.
Personality - Edric is a quiet, ponderous man. Despite being in line to the Mallister peerage, he has attempted to stay humble so he will not forget the smallfolk when he is eventually Lord Mallister. He is often pragmatical in combat, foregoing grand flourishes and pageantry in favor of simplicity and effectiveness so that he might live to fight another day and become a Lord. When he is not fighting or studying (he is quite fond of books), he is usually found hunting or hawking, as he is very fond of the outdoors.
History - Edric was born in Seagard in 170AL. His youth passed with little excitement and was by all account a bright youth. He studied and trained and bettered himself vigorously, eventually becoming a tourney knight of some renown, never winning a tourney but always advancing past the first few rounds. As he entered his twenties, he took a bride, a young Frey woman, but has not yet produced an heir. When the war broke out, he immediately declared for the Targaryens in the hopes of influencing the Freys and surrounding Lords of the Riverlands to do the same.
