First of all, you do NOT suck at digital drawing! This is very good, and really clean (especially the lineart). It looks like you've spent a long time on this picture so far!
I really like the tree, it's a weeping willow, right? I used to play on one at my grandma's house when I was little. I love the trunk and how you drew the leaves/vines. If this is a weeping willow, I think the vines hanging down could use a little more variation in their length, though. Sometimes the vines will land almost near the ground and others will kinda spring up more towards the top. Right now they all look a little too high up and the exact same length. You can adjust this pretty quickly (if you want) by selecting each vine and using the 'scale' tool on gimp.
As always, I like your dragons very much! But if I'm honest I think the face needs a little work. The eye looks too large and the angle of the mouth/jaw is kinda awkward. It's a little difficult to tell what the dragon's expression is supposed to be. Surprised? Hungry? Is he smiling?
And the boy looks great! I don't see you draw people much so this is really cool ^_^ You do a great job. I really don't have any nitpicks. The only thing I'm gonna say is to make sure you draw in an eye and eyebrows to show his expression as well. Right now, I don't know if he's in awe, scared, or surprised about the dragon in front of him xD

To be totally honest I don't know what tree I was doing XD I made everything up as a go along, anf the hanging leaves from a huge tree looked ideal to draw. But now that you mention it (as I Google pictures) is does kind of look like a weeping willow O_O
The dragon's eye is kind of big, not that I look at it :/ I already started coloring, but I will try to tweak that when I do it's details. Thanks for pointing that out As for her feelings, she is feeling pretty...indifferent right now? Well, it goes with the story XD Maybe it will make sense then.
And as for the boy, not drawing someone's face is a huge mistake to make O.o So I did it on purpose. For one, I want to leave his facial features to the viewer's imagination as they read the background story when I post it. Plus I usually screw up faces >_<

Hey, you're good with backgrounds so here's a tip. Why don't you add flowers here and there and when you color it, you can show sunlight shimmering through the leaves. And blacksheep's right. You definitely do not suck at digital art. I think you should add a few thinner trees at the back so it doesn't look all empty. About the dragon, well you're the expert there but you can add armor to them as well. They can have more than one heads. They can have more than one jaws. To make them scary, they can be skinny and very bony, literally. (Like they have an exoskeleton or something). About the little boy, he's adorable. With his hair falling over his eyes, it gives him a shy kind of look. I don't know if that's what you were intending but I think the scene is very beautiful. I can be wrong since I don't know the story behind it. Do post it soon.
