The Time Knights- Need 2 characters!

One day, you wake to find a letter and a small box by your bed. In the box is a ring that seems to be tailor fit for your tastes, a single gem in the middle. Your name is carved on one side, on the other is a calligraphy T&K. The letter reads:

Dear Sir or Madame,

You have one day to decide if you want to follow these instructions. If you take this quest, your life will immediatly become dangerous. I cannot stress enough how dangerous this is. But if you do take this quest, you will save many people's lives, as well as restoring balance to the world.

If you have not already thrown this away in disgust or fear, this is what you are to do. Decide. If you decide against this. burn the letter and throw away the ring, as it will be of no use to you. If you are brave enough to accept, pack a single bag. Only bring a change of clothing, something to keep you warm, money, and any small weapons that you have. Once you are finished packing, at precisely 11 o' clock AM tomorrow, press the gem on your ring and step into the tear. Tell no one. Once you arrive in your destination, await for further instructions from me.

You have decided to take up this mystery mission, and stepped into the tear, only to find yourself in Colonial Boston, just months before the American Revolution. Five others are with you, and you are all from completely different time periods. No worries, one of you is from this time. Everything you have brought with you, including the clothes you were wearing, have turned into the 1776 counter-part.

All usual rules apply. (No god-modding, sex scenes, killing of other characters without the person's approval and mine...etc) Cursing is allowed, but use words that your character's time would allow for, and don't go crazy. Make your character relevant to their time. (no valleygirls that are from the 1800's or an educated boy from a poor southern town. No two people can be from the same time. No Mary/Gary Sue/Stu's. Please add to the story regularly. Not necessarily write every day, but don't make a character than never post.

I will take the role of a girl from the time period that everybody else is traveling to, leaving five spots open. These are first come, first serve, and I will absolutely not go over five unless I really, really like your character! I will also be posting for F.T., who always communicates through letters that mysteriously appear in the night. The girl from 1776 is not the main character, as all are equally important. She is here to help the others understand her time better and not get into too much trouble with the Redcoats.

The Plot

The main idea is that the Time Knights are a group created by F.T. that helps to keep history on course. There is something unknown that is planting seeds of doubt in important people to an important event. The Time Knights' mission is to convince these people to continue with their plans. F.T. is not trying to make the world a better place, but rather keeps history on track. So the Time Knights could do anything from telling Thomas Edison to keep working on the lightbulb, to keeping Hitler on the path of WW2.

I will not say who he is until the time is right. The mystery of who F.T. is is a driving force. I will say that I am 95% sure that most people have heard of him.

Do the rings do anything besides transport you to said time?

No. Other than opening the so-called portal, they are mainly a thing that shows that the people are part of the group.

Hey, first of all I love the plot ideas and everything!

Name: Perigrine 'Perri' Mason
Age: (13-17) 16
Gender: Female
Time Period: (Late 1600's to present. No future.) 1915

Appearance: Slightly curled bronze coloured hair, greeny grey eyes, attractive but not beautiful. A slight girl standing only at 5ft2, with little upper body strenth, but strong legs. She often tends to wear 'boyish' ripped shorts and shirts, and clumpy boots. Hair Eyes
Personality: Shy and reserved, but with a strong inner core, ready to lead but not always confident she will be listened to. Courageous and kind.
History: Perri was ready to join the army and fight for her country, but under the guise of a boy of 17, so the letter came along at the right time. She is an orphan, so does not fear death so will willingly sacrifice herself for people. She was raised by an abusive Uncle, so grew up fast, and left him at the age of 13. Since then she has lived on the street and made her way as a pickpocket, also she wishes to rid herself of this life.
Strengths: Lithe, agile and fast making her a good warrior, also clever with a dagger and sword.
Weaknesses: Her carelessness of death means she tries to always be the hero, meaning sometimes she is injured far easier than others. Also her stature and lack of muscle means she is more vulnerable.
Likes: Animals and books, and has a great love of dance and music. She also likes to socialise and practise with her dagger and sword, she is also a skilled runner and climber.
Dislikes:: Terrified of isolation and small spaces, and fears for the death of poeple close to her.
Up For Love: (but please don't make love the driving force of the story!) Perri has very old fashioned views of love, but still views that the right guy is out there for her, she just has to wait for him.
Other: Perri's weapons are a small silver dagger that was her mothers and her father's sword, both of which she always carries. She also has a small sapphire pentogram necklace on a black cord which she never removes.

Appearance: Fanny has semi-wavy, washed out ginger hair and light gray eyes. She braids her hair back every day and secures it with a white ribbon. She is about 5’ 4’’ and has a slight frame. Her long, nimble fingers are always doing something, from sewing, to knitting, to just wringing them together. She dresses plainly, having only two dresses to choose from. They are exactly the same; dark rust colored dresses with elbow length sleeves and a white apron. She always has several sewing pins stuck on her person. The only thing outstanding about what she wears is the fact that she wears a corset at her social level. To look at her, you’d see a plain, boring girl that doesn’t really notice much. But she is always watching everything, always watching somebody like a hawk. There is a reason that she is quiet.

Personality: To the Boston public, Fanny is the kind girl who is apprenticed to the milliner. She follows social requirements. She is very quiet, obedient, and respectful to men. Fanny works hard at her job as an apprentice milliner (a person who makes women’s clothing and accessories.) She has impeccable manners, and can even be charming when needed. Most do not see the true Fanny.
Fanny is a Patriot, or as the British call them, a rebel. She is a part of the Daughters of Liberty, but she decided that that simply wasn’t enough. So since she was 11, she has dressed up as a boy at night in order to attend meetings for the Sons of Liberty. She is even a part of the Minute Men, and keeps a shotgun in her chest, under un-hemmed petticoats. If allowed to be herself, Fanny could be described as loud, and fiercely loyal to what she believes in. She is still very serious, but if you get her to be herself, she can be quite sarcastic. Her sarcasm sometimes leaks into her carefully composed façade of a standard Tory girl. She is an independent, hard-working girl who takes no pity on people who just skate through life.

History: She had a fairly standard childhood for someone of her class at the time. Her mother died giving birth to her still-born brother when she was five, which put her father, who used to be a baker, into a downward spiral. He would come home from the tavern every night with ale on his breath and pass out drunk. Since he was busy in the baker’s shop, she would do all the housework herself. One night when she was eight, her father got in trouble for getting into a drunken fight with a redcoat officer. He was hanged the next day for assaulting an officer of the Royal Army. The milliner, a grumpy old tory woman named Mrs. Bumbrake took pity on the orphaned Fanny and signed her into apprenticeship. Mrs. Bumbrake thinks that Fanny is a Tory, as does everybody else in Boston except the others in the Daughters of Liberty. Fanny lives in the room above the milliners shop, in a separate building from Mrs. Bumbrake. The shop is right next to Paul Revere’s silversmith shop, and Fanny is good friends with him.

Strengths: She is very good with her hands, and is obviously a master at sewing. Her quiet façade allows for her to listen into people’s conversations and learn things about the British. She can also ride a horse well; sidesaddle, regular, and bareback. She is also pretty decent with the shotgun. Since she has had to lie a lot to the redcoats and the Tories, she is a bit of a smooth talker.

Weaknesses: Her size is a huge disadvantage, and she isn’t very strong. Fanny cannot run very fast because of the long skirts that trip her and she is prone to fainting spells on account of her corset. She would rather not wear one, but Mrs. Bumbrake makes her since Fanny makes them. She is slow to trust people until she can be sure that they are patriots.

Likes: She loves to sew and knit, especially since it gives her something to do with her hands. Discussing the revolution is fun for her, and she can get into very heated arguments. Having been raised as a proper lady and hating every minute of it, she likes to get dirty sometimes.

Dislikes: Tories and Limey soldiers, the taxes, stuck up rich kids, people who don’t work for what they want, drinking of any kind, acting proper, and her corset.

Up For Love: She doesn’t believe in courtship, but she will still expect a boy to be a bit formal with her.

Other: She could probably secure a few flint-lock pistols for anybody who doesn't have a weapon.
