I stopped dead on my tracks. What's just happening? Avery was calling out to me when just a day ago she screamed at me so hard. Chris is like he's forgiven me already, and he's smiling upon me. And Will... His eyes were fixed upon me, and I noticed myself sinking a little inside. Why? Why did I still like him so much even after he's decided it all with Avery? It didn't make any sense.
Avery walked to me, giving me a big hug. I was just so shocked, like frozen ice that I couldn't return the favor. "I've missed you Lena..." she whispered to me.
Will and Chris came up too, grinning and looking at each other. Will steps in and gives me a light hug and I get that weird feeling again, that I love him. He pulls back and lets Chris in.
"Its been long." Chris says, and wraps his arm around my neck. I smile a little, good to have all of them back. I feel so relieved after such a long time.
Avery chuckles by my silence and slaps slight on the shoulder. "Wake up! Its true. We're here for you!"
I blink twice, thrice but I still can't believe it. And finally, like I wanted to say this for so long, "You bitches..." And I see the tears coming because I was so happy. I was so fucking happy.
"Woah, Lena. Don't tell me you're mad at us?" Chris says, his eyebrows forming an arc.
"No... Its not that!" I say, and jump into a huge hug for Chris. He's finally forgiven me. And Will, I really do think he did the right thing. I smile at Will. He smiles back and I see Avery staring.
"What made you guys change your mind?" I say, wiping my tears off as the school bell rings for the second time I realize. Damn it. I see Rick coming in.
"Uh, are you going to make us wait any longer? Its Art now." he says, annoyed.
I look at them. I didn't know what to do. Go back to school or hang around with them?
"C'mon, Avery's taken a day off. Come with us." Chris says putting an arm around me.
"Can you inform Ms. Hilly that I won't be teaching today, Rick? Thanks." I say over my shoulder. Finally. Finally, I have them back. After a long, long time.
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.
It was amazing to have the whole gang back together. And seeing Lena after all this time without all the hatred was just phenomenal.
"That was the best movie Ave," Chris cheered as he threw out his empty popcorn bag.
"Yeah," Lena added.
She was a bit scared the whole time, very cautious on what she said and did. Getting your best friends back is something you do everything for not to lose. I understand where she's getting at, but in reality, she doesn't have to be that afraid.
"My place everyone?" I asked.
They all looked at each other for a second then nodded. I smiled as we headed out the doors.
***
A few other people came over from our high school, so it became a party. My flat was stuffed with booze and teens, downing all that. Music was loud and it was fun. The most fun I've had in a very long time. Even the kids Ave and Lena were teaching stopped by. Bad influence? Nah, every teen does this so the teachers aren't doing any bad.
"Dude, another?" Chris was holding a shot.
Nodding, I took it from his hand and drowned my throat with it. It stung as it flew down, but it was nice. Chris took a swing and smiled.
"This has been too long!" I laughed.
"YES!" he yelled.
I'm sure we were all wasted by then. A few people bumped into us as they walked by. We were standing in the kitchen, next to the small island. This room was packed with all the goodies. Drinks and food. I got guacamole and nachos and tacos. Mexican night it was. We had a 'Tequila Hour' in which all we took shots from was Tequila and lime.
"Babe, can I have another cooler?" Avery asked from next to me. She came out of nowhere...
"Yeah," I smiled.
I walked up to the fridge and opened it up. There was a stack of coolers right in front of me so I grabbed her favourite, Cherry Blossom, and pulled it out. She was next to me the whole time so she grabbed it, giving me a peck on the cheek.
"Thanks Willy," I hated it when she called me that.
"Yeah," I smiled.
She walked away back into the party, grabbing Lena by the arm. They started to dance together but Lena looked really uncomfortable. She hasn't drunken anything. Anything. I guess she was really fragile about getting her best friends back. She's probably afraid if she took one wrong step, it'd break.
"Will," Chris barked. I looked over at him and saw him giving me this strange, terryifying look. "William," he huffed.
I swallowed hard, ready for the blow.
"Oh my God!" he broke out laughing just the next second. "You should've seen your face!"
It took me a while to realize he was playing with me. But I managed to break out a few laughs and join him. Man, I did miss this guy. My best friend. I needed him for life.
"Dude, it's been way too long!" we both said at the same time.
Slapping his back lightly, I walked into the living room and saw all these people dancing to Backstreet Boys. There were two guys talking in the corner of my room, by the balcony, they were arguing. One of them looked emo while the other, jock guy. Whatever. I looked back at the dancing crowd and saw Avery smiling like crazy and Lena dancing her butt off.
"Will, join your girl." I heard someone say from next to me.
I turned on my heel and realized why I had recognized him. It was Ashton. How did he get here? Why did he come here? What the hell?!
"What are you doing here?" I hissed, the beer in my hand was beginning to look like a weapon.
"Just came to the party, a problem?" he smirked.
"Get out of my house."
"Your house? This is your place? Wow! Amazing! Does Avery live with you?"
"If you wanna stay here then shut your yap." I tensed up.
"Fine, whatever. Going to dance..."
He walked past me, into the floor. At first he was just with the crowd, then he was inching closer to Avery. I was about to jump in when instead he turned to Lena. It made my breathing stop. They were so close, I swear personal space was not a concern.
"Dude, you look like you're about to murder someone." Chris said.
"If I look like a monster,' he says roughly, 'then no one will be surprised when I do monstrous things." - A.B. Poranek
I saw my art teacher this morning, she told me not to 'be gay', she can't go around telling people who they can like! She can go to hell, for all I care. I don't want to be here, I can just tell Rick is going to make my life a living hell.
"Hey faggot." some random chick laughed.
"Fag!" A group of boy called from their lockers. This went on all the way through the halls, until I got to my locker. Have people found out I'm gay? Did the chick tell? Rick wouldn't do this... Right?
"Ahh, the stoner faggot." Rick said as I opened my locker, "Oi."
"You told people?" I looked at him with sad eyes.
"Told them what?" He smirked.
"You fucking did!" I pushed him once. Rick's smirked disappeared as he pushed me back and punched me in the stomach, over and over and over. Why was no one doing anything? Where are the fucking teachers? I felt the hot tears rolling down my cheeks as everyone laughed around us.
I only remember Rick's smirking face before I passed out.
Spoiler
I cried while writing this, probably cause I'm over emotional. Dx Also sorry its short...
I've got you under a spell and I don't think I'll be letting you out~ If Only She Knew Voodoo Like I Do, Get Scared.
Sorry it's been so long. Busy past couple of weeks.
...And after they broke up, no one heard from Emmett again.
One other thing, choco. Your Allen post said a few days were all they've known each other, but I hope the month skip with the rest of the group is okay with you!
Lacey
I lay in this strange bed all alone, and allow myself to indulge in dangerous behavior; I let myself think.
The shirt Allen lent me is to small, and already pulling up part of the way, so I tug it up the rest. My stomach- and yes, I have to believe that it is mine- protudes slightly. I lay my hands on top of it, imagine what is inside of it, the little cells gathering up to make a little alien-like creature that will be my child.
My Child. They won't belong to the guy who lent his sperm to this life experience, nor Allen's, which who everyone thinks the child belongs to. Everyone who knows thinks I'm making amends, trying to shape a good father out of this boy by making him watch Disney movies. I want him to be the Father. I have to admit that to myself. He knows the Violin score to 'Part of Your World' and could rap in three-four if you asked him to. Our child would have bright blue eyes and bushy, thick dark hair. She has always been a girl to me, and I can see her with a blue tutu, dancing around in a wild contrast of dark skin and pale eyes. She would be beautiful. Instead, she is doomed to the brown eyes that I have never wanted, without the love I always did.
I pull down the shirt, tugging up the covers. Maybe I should tell him. He is my friend, and he deserves to know. He deserves to understand why I have to be cared for, why I am such a 'mystery'.
But, Lord, Emmett would kill me.
I could count the number of people who know on my fingers. Soon, as soon as the semester switches, I will take all my classes at home- most of them were online anyway, thanks to my genius gene. I will tell people I am studying my violin, working towards a music scholarship, but it would all be a lie. Everything is a lie to me, around me, these days.
"How is our sick girl doing?"
Allen walks in, all confidence. It has been a half-an-hour since he checked on me, and he has the lightness of someone reassured of their correctness.
"Better."
Honestly, I feel completely fine. The rush of nausea was painful, but left as soon as I laid down. Allen sits on the edge of the bed, using his hand to check my temperature. He cares about me so much, I feel the truth bubbling to my lips. Allen's touch is kind and gentle, and I overlook his moment with Jane, just as I hope he would overlook mine.
"You scared me. You should stop doing stuff like that. Is just my presence? Am I a bit nauseating?"
I smile. "It's the hair. I think I have a weird reaction to the gel."
He makes a face, his features contorting into a slight resemblence of itself. "Are you serious?"
"No! Of course not." I laugh. "Don't be ridiculous!"
"Hey," he holds up his hand, "I thought I might as well check."
There's a silence where I can't bring myself to say anything back, and it echoes through the room. "Allen? If I was hiding some important part of me from you, but I was worried it would hurt our frienship, would you want me to tell you?"
My voice is tiny, but his is not. He considers it. "Yeah. Lacey, what's wrong?"
I take a deep breath, preparing to shove our relationship out the window for the sake of honesty. He would have found out eventually. It's so much better this way. "Allen, I'm pregnant."
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.
I looked back and forth between Avery and Lena before I made my choice. I loved the fiestiness that Lena emitted. It was hot. But I still had feelings for Avery. So for a second I came closer to Avery. So close that I could smell her shampoo. It was some type of mango shit, and I just wanted to shove my face in it, but then I remember the warning look in Will's eyes. If I was to just take Avery from him he'd probably try to kill me. I mean literally kill me. So I had to take it slow, and not just make my feelings obvious. So I backed off of Avery and moved onto Lena, whom I was hoping didn't also have a potential murdering boyfriend.
When she saw me she grimaced, and backed away a few paces, so I decided to turn on my hot guy charm "Hello again beautiful. Fancy seeing you here." I say with a bit of a smirk.
She rolls her eyes "What are you doing here dude?" her tone is dripping of annoyance. Ah, resistance. My favorite part.
"I just happen to be a friend of Avery's" I say with a shrug, while gesturing to Avery, who is now grinding with a guy with dirty blond hair and a lip ring. I feel my stomach drop, and suddenly wanna punch the guy in the face, but refrain, after deciding that Will, will probably do that on his own.
"Yeah right. Ave only hangs out with wholesome guys. Your kinda just full of dogshit." She says shrugging her shoulders. I give Lena a smirk and then suddenly grab her waist, pulling her towards me. She gasps, and then slaps my chest.
"Let go of me you creep." She hisses in my ear. I have to say, i'm kinda stung. I'm not really used to people disliking me. It feels weird. I let go of her quickly and walk into the tiny powder room. I look in the mirror and rub my face. Why am i even messing with other girls? I only came from the other side of the country for one. And she hardly even notices me. I decide to leave and notice something interesting when I walk out of the bathroom. I still see Avery grinding with that guy, but now she's hardly paying attention to him, but is watching as Will pulls Lena into into the master bedroom. Instead of looking pissed off, she just looks defeated and walks out of the apartment after grabbing a pack of cigarettes. I'm about to follow her, when a few squealing girls ask me if i'm the actual Ashton Baxter. I answer them quickly, and then run out to talk to Avery, but by then she's gone.
Tristan
This is just like last time. Avery's giggling at me, and smiling that smile (you know the one. The one that could make anyones heart flutter.), and she's sensuously moving her body on mine. I close my eyes and just enjoy it, but when I open them I notice somethings wrong. She's watching as Will whispers something into Lena's ear, and begins pulling her into his and Avery's bedroom. Before Lena is totally inside she looks back and forth and closes the door with what almost looks like a little guilty smirk. Well shit. I didn't even have to do anything. Instead of rushing to the bedroom and confronting them Avery just turns to me and in a thick voice, she just whispers "Take me out of here." Without hesitation I tell her to quickly to go out to her car, and start it. I watch as she rushes off, but not before taking a pack of cigarettes. I grab my coat, and hurry to tell my twin sisters to be back home by 3. I don't bother saying anymore mainly because they'll do what they want to do anyways. They both simultaneously stick their tongues out at me and continue dancing with their partners, while giggling to each other. When I get outside I find Avery sitting inside of the passenger side of her porsche smoking a cigarette. I climb into the drivers side and pull out. The ride to my house is quiet as she cries silent tears and continues to smoke cigarette after cigarette. While leading her through the foyer, she quietly comments on how she hasn't been here in ages.
"Go upstairs and put on one of Abigail or Elizabeths pajamas. Then you can head to my room and make yourself comfortable." She nods quietly, and begins heading up the marble stairs. I go into the kitchen and begin making her vanilla chai tea, and a bowl full of mint ice cream with oreos and chocolate syrup on top. When I walk into my room I find her smoking from my hookah, while continuing to silently cry. I hand her the tea and ice cream and she climbs into my king sized bed. She turns the playstation 3 on and just to get onto youtube to watch episodes of pewdiepie.
After sipping her chai, she looks at me sitting on the edge of the bed. "I havta break up with him, don't I?" She asks quietly. I take off my Jordans and then my socks.
"No, you don't." I tell her while lifting my shirt over my head "You don't know what he planned on doing when he went in there with Lena." I wiggle off my pants and continue over to to put on some pajama pants. The only reason that we're so comfortable around each other is just because she's seen me naked plenty of times. Mainly when waking me up from her guest bedroom after a party, when I chose to sleep with a random chick.
"Thats just the thing though," she says looking down "I don't trust him enough to know what he was going to do in there. If I did, I would just figure that he was going in there to talk to her. But...I don't believe that at all." She puts the now empty bowl and mug on my night stand and lays down. I climb into bed with her and envelope her in my arms. I feel her tears soaking my bare chest, and I just comb my hand through her hair until I feel her gently snoring. Her drool is making a puddle on my chest again when I realize that I have her. I can have her all to myself now. But...why does it feel so wrong?
I woke up and groaned, there was blood on my hands and in my mouth, I could taste it, that bitch, how could he do this to me? I couldn't move any part of my body, it hurt too much. I have no idea where I am, or what time it is.
"Rick?" I said weakly. No one answered. I closed my eyes and sat, [pain shot through my whole body. I looked down at my arm, cut and smeared with my own blood. I scream at the pain. My head throbbed from the beating. I just want to go home. "Help?" I whispered "Anyone?" the room was black, so I'm guessing he shoved me in an empty classroom.
I dragged myself over to the wall, the shads were pulled open, but it was black outside. I've been knocked out all day? And no one found me? I grabbed the closes thing I could feel to pull me up, I hit the wall with my body, letting a scream escape my lips. I ran my shaking hand over the wall for a lightswitch.
My eyes stung from the light as I hit the switch, I whimpered a little and examined my arms and body. I had cuts over my arm and stomach, I felt one stinging my lip. There was a bruise forming on my stomach, where he repeatedly punched me.I have no idea what to do, just wait for someone to find me?
I sunk back down and curled up, pulling my knees to my chest, and just cried. I cried until I had no more tears left. ]He did this to my, the guy I love, who just yesterday, did this to me.
I've got you under a spell and I don't think I'll be letting you out~ If Only She Knew Voodoo Like I Do, Get Scared.
We went on to Will's house but I was afraid I would do something to hurt my friends that I didn't even drink but anyway, I enjoyed myself to the party, dancing. The music was good, some of my students were also there but I really didn't mind as long as they don't give me a name in school.
And then I see Ashton. I look away, but he slides on to me, and we have a small conversation to what I observed, he gave up. Well, that's what I expected. But it was just as shocking when he said he was Avery's friend. I'm sure Avery wouldn't befriend such a person. The next thing I know, Will's grabbing me by the arm.
What the FUCK is he doing?!
I see Avery from the corner of my eye, stopped dead on her tracks, stopped dancing, stopped drinking. She's just staring and shaking her head slightly. Her eyes are full of sad tears like she has been betrayed her whole life.
"Will, let go off me!" I tell him wriggling my hand, but his hands have a strong grip on my wrist. "I'm serious! Avery's staring, you cannot do this to her yet!"
"I just need to talk to you." he says, pushing me into the master bedroom. Everyone will get the wrong idea. Doesn't he know that?
"Will, you're just probably drunk. Get a hang on-"
He puts his hand over my mouth. "Shh. Just one thing, I'll let you go."
He takes his hand off. "Can't we do this outside?" I ask him, shocked.
"No...Yes... I don't know! I just need to know how the fuck do you know Ashton?" he demands.
I shake my head. Why is he doing this to me? Chris is the one who's supposed to ask me this but it sort of makes sense because Will knows Ashton. I can see it in his eyes, its full of fury.
"Look. We just met as the pizzeria, okay?" I tell him, walking out but he grabs me by the wrist again, this time pinning me to the wall. Not like banging, but just trapping me.
"Yeah, and he was trying to have sex with you, Lena! Tell me the truth." he looks into my eye.
"I am! He was just this random guy, Will. And why do you care so much? Its over, okay?"
"I care because I still love you!" Will replies, making my heart sink again.
No. He's just probably too drunk, Lena. Don't let him get to you.
I shake my head, and push him away, walking out of the master bedroom. I try finding Avery but she's long gone. I start to cry a little. I'm going to loose her again... I run out of the apartment but not straight to the house. Instead I see myself walking to school.
I see the lights of a classroom on. Who could it be at this time? I open the door slightly, and to my shock I see Andy. Covered in blood. My eyes widen, and run off to help him out. I pick him by his arms and make him sit on the chair. I grab the water from my bag and help him gulp it down his throat.
"Who the fuck did this to you?!" I screamed. Man, I was angry, sad and so confused. I didn't know how to react.
He just shook his head, unable to speak. He's just too tired, just wants rest. He's literally dying. I cry again. No matter how weird he was- gay or not, he was a student. I call in Avery but she cuts the phone. I try calling Chris but his phone, I think is lost or cannot be heard due to the noise. And no way am I calling Will.
I punch in the numbers to the hospital. A lady picks up but before she can say anything, I speak, "Hello, 911?!"
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.
I woke up to a beeping sound, gahh, its killing my head! I looked around, Ricksent me to my grave?
"Andy...?" I lady's voice was calling.
"Are you an angel?" I giggled, stoot, I'm on drugs. Did he drug drugged me? Everything was spinning around me, I threw my head back on the pillow and groaned at the pain.
"No, its me, Lena, your art teacher," she whispered.
"Why are you here?" I asked, my throat was dry and rusty. "Wh-where are we?"
"Hospital, who did this to you?" she asked, moving her chair closer, the noise pierced my ears, I tried to move my hands, but they were to heavy to move.
"... No one," I can't tell her it was Rick, he'll kill me.
"Andy." she warned.
"I don't know, I didn't see them."
"Them?"
"Well, I don't know if it was a boy or a girl..."
"This much damage, it would be a boy. You've lost a lot of blood, and have bruises all over your stomach. I'll ask yo one more time, who did this?"
"I can't remember." I lied. A plump nurse with a big smile came in with a tray of food, pills and a... Needle, nope, I can't that isn't going in my arm.
"Hello dearie." she chirped. Lena, stood up and left.
"I will be back later, try to remember." I nod.
"I don't want any food, or that." I nodded at the needle.
"No one wants them," she smiles, "But, you need it. Don't want you dying on us." she made a joke.
"Please, just let me die," I beg.
"Oh, no, no, no." she shook her head, "Sweetpea, you will not be dying. Not under my twenty-four hour watch. Now, hold still." she held my arm, "Be a big boy about it now."
"Pleas-" I screamed as the needle broke through my skin. I know, I'm a baby when it come to them.
"Wasn't that bad, now eat up. Or you'll be vomiting your guts out." She says, then leaves, I groan and put my head back on the pillow.
I've got you under a spell and I don't think I'll be letting you out~ If Only She Knew Voodoo Like I Do, Get Scared.
William Franco (Haven't spelled his full name out in so long, wow I'm nuts)
The last thing I remember was being slapped. Slapped so hard, it knocked the lights out of me. The thing was... I didn't remember who had done that to me.
"What..." I said as I licked my lips.
Sitting up in my bed, I opened me eyes. There was a mess everywhere. Plastic cups on the floor, crisps scattered around. Trash hung everywhere. And I actually could see some people knocked out through my frosted bedroom door. Some light was coming through my windows, the curtains blocking them a little. I must've locked myself in here to get away from them.
I looked down at myself and realized, I was naked.
"Shit," I hissed.
I stood up from my bed and ran to the bathroom. There were some pajama pants hanging on the door so I slipped them on. The taste in my mouth was rotten. I looked at myself in the mirror and found I was cringing. My eyes were tired and my face was red.
Instead of just standing there, I washed up. After that, I went to my wardrobe and slipped on a pair of jeans and a hoodie. The first place that needed cleaning was my room. I started with that.
It took me a few minutes, but I managed. I even got the vacuum which was in my bathroom, thank God.
So, the bedroom was done. I had found one opened condom under my sheets, that was interesting and very horrifying. Why was it horrifying? Because Ave wasn't here.
"Okay everyone!" I yelled once I got out of my bedroom. "Let's clean this shit up!"
Jane Wills
I was at the airport. The rush of the building was ecstatic. I couldn't believe how many people could wander one place.
Security was behind me as I headed toward my gate. My parents said their good-byes, not very tearful, but yet. I had dropped off my check-in bags. All I had left to do was wait for Lufthansa to get here and steal me away to Frankfurt.
Oh, Frankfurt.
Some place I will soon call home.
There was this little thing inside of me that wanted Emmett to run here, tell me how much he loved me, tell me how much he wanted me to stay here. But another part of me said, no. He shall not do that. I needed this. This was my damn calling.
Photographer for Forever Magazine. This production includes students from all over the world working on one magazine, to show people the many cultures mixing together. It was an amazing project in which I wanted to participate in.
Oh, Forever Magazine.
My true calling finally came.
"Good afternoon passengers. Lufthansa flight nine-two-eight to Frankfurt would like to ask passengers, Toby Aguirre and Hayley Urben to the podium at gate F-five to speak with an agent."
A few people looked up from what they were doing to listen, even me. But I looked back down at my book and continued reading once I realized, this announcement had nothing to do with me.
The sounds of the airport, so busy, came from all around me. Walkie-talkies, people chatting, announcements, music from here and there. Even a dog barking and a child crying came by. Smells from the restaurants were amazing, but I wasn't the least by hungry.
Just an hour later, we were boarding. I was already in the plane, comfortable and seated, ready for departure as more people pilled on. I had a beautiful window seat, ready for pictures of the skies. And the planes wing of course.
As we were about to back away from the jet-bridge, a stewardess grabbed the microphone.
"We're sorry for the delay but we had an unexpected occurrence. Do not be alarmed, we'll be ready for take off in just a moment."
The heart racing, fast breathing and head spinning thing, yeah, it just got worse. Nervousness and anxiety was always a case during flights, days before a flight, and right before the flight. But right now, I was just getting frightened and worried of dying.
Always the thought of dying in any bad-thing-happening situation. Or, whatever.
I sat calmly in my seat, if you call that calm, and buckled my seat belt. As did the rest of the passengers. The same stewardess looked out the plane into the jet bridge. She had on a serious face for just a second, then came on the smile. She took a boarding pass and handed it back.
The person hopped on board.
Oh my goodness.
What the fuck was he doing here?
"Dad..." I whispered in shock.

"Ave wake up hun. Come on dude. Liz made her chocolate chip pancakes, the ones I know you love so much." I feel Tristan shake me a little.
"Tristy,I havta break up with my boyfriend in a few minutes." i say groaning, the after effect of too many cherry blossom wine coolers.
"Did he actually cheat on you?"Tristan asks seriously. I lazily shrug my shoulders.
"No. Yes. I don't know. But what I do know is that if you don't have trust in a relationship, there is no relationship."I turn my head to the other side. Tristan begins to comb through my hair.
"I love you, ya know." Tristan says quietly. I stay quiet. "I've missed you." Tristan says kissing the nape of my neck. I shy away from him and just decide to ask.
"So why didn't you say that..."I trail off and wait for him to finish.
"I was afraid of commitment. It was pretty sobering, having to remember that by dating you i'd get no more fuck buddies, no more random blow's in my car." He shrugs. "But...later...even after getting those things, I realized, I value you more than any of that." He takes my hand. I pull it back.
"I haven't even dumped Will yet, dude." I say rolling my eyes.
"Well just text that you havta meet him...and then do it there. And then we can continue from there."Tristan takes my hand and kisses every one of my knuckles. I sigh and text Will.
I look at Andy, who felt asleep as soon as he was injected. I guess the drug had got to him pretty easily. The nurse tells me he's lost a lot of blood and I start to worry. This has got to be Rick. Or Rick should know who did it. I go inside the room and pick up Andy's cell phone. I know I mustn't be doing this but I have a strong feeling Rick is responsible for everything.
I look through the contacts and see his name on the screen. I check on Andy again to see if he was asleep. Thankfully, he was. I dial in and wait for him to pick up. A deep voice comes in with a not so pleasant welcome.
"Well, well, well. You actually had the guts to call me even after being knocked out so hard." he said.
So, its him.
"Rick, its Lena." I tell him and I notice the awkwardness in his voice.
"H-Hi. How come you got Andy's cell phone?" he asks me in the most polite way.
I frown. Bloody bitch. Own boyfriend did this to him. I knew it. I knew Andy was lying. "Tomorrow, 8 AM, meet up in the Principle's office. If you don't, I'll be making a complaint to the cops to get you arrested." I say, and cut the call.
I look at Andy and set his cell phone on the side-table. I'm going to help you out, Andy. I'm going to set things right for you. Right now, you need a friend.
Allen
"Allen, I'm pregnant." Her voice echoed.
I sat there, silently staring at her. It took me a few minutes to digest it all in. The girl that I was secretly crushing, is pregnant. I take a few deep breaths and I can see Lacey's face is tight, guilty. I think through this. Right now, she needs someone. I look at her, her gorgeous hair shining.
"I'm really sorry..." she said, a small voice opening up.
"Lacey... You could have at least told me. How many months?" I ask her.
"Its been a few." she says and I look at her belly, slightly bulging.
"C-Can I?" I ask her, wanting to feel the baby and she nods. I place my hand over her tummy and I can feel a weird thing moving around. Its the baby. I laugh a little.
"Doesn't it feel great?" I tell her, still laughing. Ladies have to be the luckiest people.
"But Allen... You're being so positive about this. Don't you want to say anything?" Lacey asks, shocked. I do, but I didn't want to hurt her because I didn't care. I loved her, no matter what.
"Lacey... I really don't care. You're amazing and not many girls would have opened it up to me like you did. That's what I like about you." I tell her, and stare into her eyes.
She looks back at me, and it seems she's been crying all night. I lean in slowly, kiss her tenderly on the lips, my hands around her waist and pull her closer to me. I kiss her more and move my hands around her beautiful hair. I've never loved a girl so much. She was the first, and maybe, my life.
I tear away and she's stunned. "I love you, Lacey. That's all that matters." I see myself telling her.
I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.
Oh my God Desti! Will is going to be heart broken! This is drama lol
Sitting in a cafe for your girlfriend for more than an hour kind of sucks. You look lame and lonely, and people start to stare at you. I tapped my mug as I looked out the windows. They were huge windows that shaped the Starbucks. Everyone could see you, you could see everyone.
"Will," I heard Avery say as if she were hesitant and out of breath.
I turned my head and smiled You'd think, aren't you frightened by the 'We need to talk' text? Nope. I am not. We are in a great standing point. And also, I'm the type of person that doesn't believe that talking should lead to something bad.
"Hey babe," I said and saw her cringe at that. She always liked it when I called her babe. "Take a seat, don't just stand there."
She was a bit hesitant at first, like she didn't want to sit. She wanted this talk over with and done. Was she pregnant?!
Just a moment later, she sat down and smiled weakly. I took a sip of my coffee and waited for her to say something. I was still as calm as ever, my heart not racing at all, but there was this tiny voice in my head that said, 'you might have to move again', 'she might leave you to go to California because she thinks its best if you stayed put here', 'she's prego'. It's the stuff that most guys really think about in a sense.
"Ave, are we just gonna sit here looking like idiots or are you gonna say something?" I laughed.
It was like she was lost in her own world. Once I said her name, she looked at me like a deer would at headlights. She's so strange.
"Right, Will-y... I mean Will..." her eyes were looking from me than anywhere but me. Nervousness. Anxious. Anxiety. "We need to talk,"
"I seem to get that idea honey,"
Another shocked look. "Don't call me that,"
"If that's what it's about then I'll stop giving you cute nicknames, Avery." I said mockingly serious.
She shook her head and kept her gaze away from me. She was fidgety. Something was horribly wrong with her. What was going on for Christ sake?!
"Avery, spit it out." I demanded.
"I'm in love," she finally looked into my eyes. That's when I saw she didn't mean me.
"And so are you..." she added.
"Who is this son of a bitch," I hissed quietly, mostly to myself.
I don't get jealous. Don't worry about that. Or violent. But her saying that, my God, I just had to say that to calm myself down. Or to add to the rage. No. I was fine. I just needed to know why the universe hated me now.

I roll my eyes "No need for profanity Will." I shake my head. "And i'm sorry...in love is the wrong thing to say...more...i guess..."in like". " I look down. "This guy has been there since the very beginning...no, I haven't been cheating on you...it's just...ugh this is difficult."I say, twisting a piece of hair around my finger nervously. I feel like i'm gonna cry, but I know that I will actually cry if i look at Will's face. You know what...Fuck it. He has no right to feel bad about this. He brought it upon himself when he made me not trust him.
I look up angrily "You know what Will? I'm breaking up with you. This just isn't working. If Lena's who you want and what you need, then you can have her. Drunken moves are actually sober thoughts. I can't stand the thought of me holding you back from being happy with her. Because I am the one stopping this, aren't I? It makes me sick to my stomach that when we're having frigging sex, you're probably wishing that it was Lena under you. I just..." the anger is starting to fade, and is being replaced with true, heartbreaking, sadness "I just...can't do it anymore Willy. I can't push for something, that you're not gonna push for either. Especially when there is someone on the sidelines who would never, ever, ever make me lose my trust for them." Will is at a loss for words, but at the last part he shoots his head up.
"Avery...who?" his eyes are filled with a fire, but mine are filled with lava.
"Dammit Will!" I say slapping the table "Does it fucking matter who? All you havta know is that I didn't cheat on you, even last night when I slept in that guys bed." I begin getting up " I'll be sending Jenny, my parents' maid, to get my stuff from your apartment. Don't worry, she'll also be leaving a big enough check to pay for your rent for like the next two years. To be honest..."I say smoothing my pencil skirt out "I don't know what i'm going to do...i may even move somewhere new for the time being. But i'll be in contact when...when everything is straightened out. Hopefully later, you'll be happy with Lena, and i'll be happy with my guy, and we can all be friends." I give Will a hopeful smile, but he seems frozen in place.
"I really do hope that, love." I hug him tightly, and let a small sob escape me. I wipe my eyes quickly, and kiss him on both cheeks. I smile again before I walk out, right into Tristans arms.
Spoiler
Tristan had been waiting at a nearby table outside the whole time just so ya know. Hmmm, I wonder if there shall be a duel between Will and Tristan...
I was speechless as I watched her leave. There was a guy there who stood up from a table and hugged her. She shook as she sobbed into his arms. That was Tristan. Dammit. That guy was always all over her ever since I met her.
She thought I'd be happier with Lena. Of course she did. The skeptical, over-dramatic Avery. Little miss 'Drama Queen'. Everything I did made her think I was cheating on her. It made her think I loved someone else.
I slammed my fist on the table and stood up. I walked outside and saw them talking, standing there still but talking. Walking up to them, I noticed Tristan giving me a stare.
"Avery," I said.
She turned her head toward me. Oh my, her eyes were just poison.
"I just want to ask, where did you get that idea?"
"What idea?"
Swallowing down my sorrow, I tried again. "Ba- Avery. You said that I was drunk and I did something with Lena. Where did you get that idea?"
She let out a small laugh with a look of dissapointment.
"Seriously Will, don't do this to me." I really didn't think I'd see her angry side, but her eyes were just on fire.
"No, I didn't do anything."
"We broke up. Live with it. We'll never be together. Alright? You can't get me back. So just stop." She hissed.
"Dude, just get away." Tristan said.
I looked at him and saw the anger in his eyes. Dammit. He looked pretty weak, so if he tried, he wouldn't win anyway.
"Avery, I wasn't drunk." she laughed again. "Ave! I told her to stay away from Ashton!"
That's when she looked at me, shock shaping her face.
"Yeah, he was there. He was going to take advantage of you, but instead tried to take advantage of Lena. She's my best friend, and yours. I was just trying to protect her."
"You're not her boyfriend, that's not your job." she hissed.
"Jesus Christ! I don't have to be her boyfriend to care about her! What's wrong with this society? I can't care about my best friend? I can't protect her from bastards like Ashton?!"
"Will, just go get a life, alright? You can't save every girl." Tristan said with attitude.
"This isn't your argument Tristan. But I swear, what's so bad about wanting her to be careful of Ashton. Wait... you wanted her to land with him, didn't you?"
Avery looked anywhere but at me. I knew it. She wanted him to take advantage of her. So she wouldn't have any intention to get to me. So there would be no reason for us to land together. I couldn't believe she would do this.
"You did let Ashton go all over Lena. How could you?"
A tear slipped from her eyes as she looked down at the ground.
"I told you to get away." Tristan hissed.
"Whatever, I'm happy this is over. You know why Ave? Because I don't want a girlfriend that would hurt her best friend."
I walked away from them, pissed as hell. I don't know where I was headed, but I just had to get away.

Thank God for European pubs in central Mystic. They let eighteen year olds in. Only a few people were here though, considering it was a Thursday night.
I held my scotch, twirling it around in the glass. Matchbox Twenty was playing over the speakers which made me smile. Someone sat down next to me, a harsh thump against the seat. I turned to face the person and saw Emmett.
Haven't seen that guy in so long.
"Hey," I smiled.
He turned to face me and played a weak smile.
