Her brother pulls me out of the water laughing. “I almost died.” I say. “Not a laughing matter. Lets go back to the hotel and check up on them.” I say motioning for a cab. I let Taylor's parents and brother get in first, then I jump in.
We get back to the hotel and we go up to Taylor's room on the top floor. We walk in and they go into the living room. I walk into Taylor's room to say sorry for drowning her, but when I walk in. It looks like Taylor and Alex are making out in her bed.
I slip out of the room, unheard, and go tell her parents. “You might want to go in there Mr. and Mrs. Lockwood, before things get a little to intimate.” I say to them. Their expressions go blank and they storm off into Taylor's room.
Taylor
My parents storm in and start yelling at me. “Taylor you were never this slutty when you were dating Sam. I am so disappointed in you. I thought we raised you better.” My mom yells at me.
“Mom.” I protest. “I love him and I am not slutty.” I say. I jump out of bed and she stares at my short shorts. “These are my cheer short, which you did not have a problem with when I was dating Sam.”
My parents storm out of the room and I can hear the front door slam. I cannot hear any foot steps. I run into the living room and there bags are gone, even Caleb's. I run back into my room and bury my face in Alex's shoulder, trying to hide my tears. “They left me.” I whisper.

Her parents walk in on us making out and start yelling at us. Taylor jumps out and tries to reason with them but they quickly storm out. I stand and hold Taylor when she comes back crying.
"They left me," she whispers, burying her face in my shoulder.
I wrap my arms around her and kiss the side of her face.
"I'm sorry," I say, "I..G-go make up with them. I'll stay here. They don't like me anyway."

“No.” I say wiping the tears from my eyes. “Sam does not like you and my parents love Sam. I can bet money that he set all this up.” I say. “If they took the time to get to know you without Sam, they will love you.” An idea hits me in the face. “Give me a second.” I say. I run over to my cell phone. I call my brother. It rings three times and he pick up.
“Hello.” He says.
“Caleb it's me.” I say.
“What happened? Mom and dad stormed out of the room with all the bags even mine. I just follow.” He say.
“Sam is what happened. Convince mom and dad to stay for tonight and make sure you keep Sam away from them.” I say.
“What are you getting me into?” He asks laughing.
“Caleb don't ask questions you are the good child at the moment. They will listen to you. Do not let Sam any where near me and Alex.”
“Will do.” He say.
“Thanks.” I hang up the phone. I smile at Alex. “You go get you dress clothes and I am going shopping. Meet me back here in two hour we are going out to dinner.” I say. I kiss him and fly out the door.

She flies out after telling me to get some dressy clothes. Chuckling and shaking my head at her, I head out of the hotel and back home. I spend about an hour figuring out what to wear to impress Taylor's parents and then walk back to the hotel to wait for her.

I run into the dress store. I look for a dress that would be perfect. I look around the store for about an hour and find a beautiful peach colored dress that hits the floor. It looks perfect so I run and buy it. I run back to the hotel and up to my room.
Alex's sits on the couch in dress clothes. “ You look perfect. Be right back.” I say running to my room.
It takes me about thirty minutes to put my make-up on and curl my hair. I slip my dress on and zip it up on the side. It is strapless and has diamond details. It looks perfect. I slip high heels on and pin part of my hair back. I walk back into the living room where Alex sits. “What do you think?” I ask twirling around.

“We shall.” I say. We link arms and walk out of my room and onto the elevator.
We get to the restaurant before they do, so we get a table and wait for them. They get there about ten minutes later and I greet them.
“What is this about?” My mom asks.
“I want to to meet Alex without Sam here to influence your thoughts on him, but first I want to know everything Sam has said to you with Alex or me in the room.” I start.
My mother sighs and clears her throat. “When you and Alex went to get food, he said you fell back and were basicly desperate.” She says.
“Okay let me correct him. I have not fallen back at all. I was never in love with Sam. I said I liked Sam to please you. I love Alex because he loves me for me. He actually cares about me.” I say. “Is there more.”
“He said Alex was a bad influence on you.” She admits.
“Mom, how is that even possible. How have I changed? I am in love now, but that is a change that is made for the better. I am happy now and so much more fun to be around.” I say.

We get to the restaurant and her parents meet us there. They go through what Sam told them and I can't believe how someone could be so conniving.
"You were in bed with him!" her mother brings up in response.
I hide the flush of red to my face at that and clear my throat.
"May I point out that we had clothes on, ma'am?" I say, "We weren't doing anything more than kissing. I would never violate someone in that way without their consent. I love your daughter, but I'm not crossing any boundaries."

I can see the guilt in their eyes, but I can tell that they are not hooked yet.
My dad clears his throat. “Do you have a future planned for you and my daughter?” My dad asks.
My mouth drops. He never talks. I see my mom's mouth drop to. “Dad.” I say. That is all I can say. This must be such an awkward for Alex to answer. It is something I have never really though about.

"Marriage, when we're ready," I say, "I was accepted into a pretty good college for business and was thinking of going into a stock broker's line of work or something, so money wouldn't be a problem and she would be well taken care of."
What else?
"Whatever she wants to do, I'd follow her," I add, "I'm not going to keep her bound up somewhere she doesn't want to be."

I smile and hold his hand. “Next time you hear something from someone, will you please consult me before you jump to conclusions?” I ask.
They look at each other. “I sorry we believed him. We just always trusted him, so we jumped to conclusions. Alex I am so sorry that I did not get to know you sooner, but I am glad I go a chance. I know you will keep my baby girl safe.” My mom say. My dad just nods as she talks.
I get up and hug them. “Thank you so much for coming back.”
“I am glad we did.” She says. “Out flight leaves in an hour, so we need to go. Don't worry, Sam will be getting it from Caleb.” She say. My mother kissed my cheek. She hugs Alex and my dad shakes his hand.
I wrap his arms around him and kiss him. “You did it.” I say. “You impressed my parents and just so you know, it would not effect for I feel about you if they did not like you.” I say. Before he can even answer, I pull him into a kiss.
