Hey everyone!

I finished writing my first novel and am interested in getting it published but there is only one thing standing in my way, the query letter. I have been struggling for days with this thing and have no idea how to tackle it. I've tried practicing on my other pieces, which are easier to do for some reason, by writing hooks and summaries but nothing is coming out right.

Does anyone have any experience in writing query letters? Or even just helpful hints on writing hooks or summaries? I'd really appreciate it because I'm getting extremely frustrated and want to throw in the towel.

These sites both deal with query letters. :)
