Many of us remember our favorite cartoons fondly. But sometimes, they can be downright chilling, even scary, even nightmare inducing.
There are two examples I get from people: The Brave Little Toaster and The Adventures of Mark Twain.
My example is from Courage the Cowardly Dog. I'll admit, as much as I loved Courage, sometimes he went through the most creepy stuff! An episode that used to give me nightmares was The Great Fusilli. Think about it. A guy travels the world seeking only to exploit the desires of those who perform on his stage, turning them into puppets. At the end of the episode, Courage has obviously gone insane, living his life as if normal with the puppets of his owners... (their dead bodies if you will!)
Brrrrr.
