'The Barter for Life' [Accepting]

Royalty, kings and queens, princes and princesses, a line of rulers in a family line. They have been looked up to for centuries. Commoners all over the world share a wish to have the perfect life of a royal. Getting waited on hand and foot, being taught with the highest quality and giving commands to meet your every desire are just a few of the perks normal people have to live without. Every royal family around the world has something in common; they all sacrificed something in order to keep power. You are born into royalty, but you must earn your place.

Over the years, royals die in a seemingly ordered fashion, and every time, they get more and more bizarre. The first deaths would be in battle, next, royals would fall victim to town robberies when they went out to the store. Soon enough, the incidents became so strange, even the peasants knew something was wrong.

The Royals have made a deal with a magical being; every first born of the third generation throughout the years has been cursed with something increasingly deadly as the time goes on. None have survived past the age of twenty-one. You are one of the cursed. Your mission is to band together with the other cursed royals and find the magical being and either bargain for your life, losing your families power in your district, or destroy the being completely to assure no one in the future has to stand vulnerable against the evil magic of the world. The fight may seem worthless, but the cursed know something others don't; the laws of magic are fair, so when they were given a curse, were also giving an elemental power of equal power. Can you handle the obscurities you will find on your journey, or will you fall when confronted by death itself?

The Curse; The Magic System

The curse can have multiple aspects. It can mar a person physically, or limit the cursed physical or mental ability (the most common). Just write it up, then me and enjoyinginsanity will verify it. The magics of a person can vary from elemental powers (including light and darkness) to pretty much anything else. As enjoyinginsanity mentioned, how powerful you are depends on how strong the curse is. Note that the curse also shortens your lifespan, as is the central plot element of this SB. So once again, just write, and we'll verify.

Age: 16
Gender: Female
Curse: Heighten sensitivity to pain
Elemental power: Darkness, She uses it to shroud her enemies in total darkness she can leave them there and have them be there for the rest of there life. Or when they can get out of it she'll slash at the darkness to kill her enemies, And sometimes if she's feeling plenty of energy she can transport at long distances.
Appearance: Dressed down like a soldier ready for war she wear's combat boot, dark sweat pants, wear's a pure white jacket and black tube top, has black hair with five white strands going from front to back. Her eyes shift from jet black to pure white depending on the two element's she uses.
Personality: Due to getting extremely high nerves she learns to stay away from most people to avoid any type of pain. Is a rather quite girl she tends to not speck a lot of the time. And the final thing is hat she can't use her power's for extended period's of time they drain her energy very quickly.
Family history: Her family was a high political power in the kingdom, when she was born her parents barely wanted to have anything to do with her, when she left to find and face the being. She did it so she could be loved by her parents for what seems to be the first time. She has a younger sister and brother that live with there parent's.
How are you planning to handle the being?: It all depends on when she get's there she doesn't know what she'll do when it comes time.

Other: Has two one handed swords that she uses with both her hands. And has a dark blue bandana face mask.

Curse: Anything she touches dies. Another part of the curse (which makes it difficult for her to use it as a strength,) is that she loses some of her own life force when she touches something and it dies. If that makes sense.(I realize I'm making it very difficult for her... XD)

Appearance: 
She normally carries a pair of daggers with her, which are usually hidden in her high heeled boots.

Personality: 
Strong and hard headed. She knows how to handle people, and it's difficult to embedded her, because she always knows just how to handle them. She can be manipulative and sometime a dirty little liar, but her heart's in the right place. She wants the best for her family and she will not stop till she gets it. She's also very loyal. She also believe in action rather than in solving things peacefully - she's more likely to want to fight it out. She's a curious person by nature though, which often gets her into trouble. 

Family history:
Her own past is a bit of a mystery for all who know her. Truth be told, the Whitecatles were a family if pirates. One of Sylvia's forefathers met the devil and struck a deal with him. The curious thing is, all who've died in Sylvia's family have died of different causes. There was her uncle, who was killed by a stone block which fell on his head. There was her grandfather, who was killed at sea. Her great grandfathers, who were twins, died when they shot each other through their heads during a "special" round of Russian Roulette. Her father was the one who ended. Their pirating careers.  

Growing up, Sylvia kept her family's past a secret. She was a mischevous child, always escaping through her nanny's fingers and running away. More often than not, she would be found at the seaside, staring at the boats in the distance longingly. She still has that pirate blood in her.

Name: Adrian Rose Vivier
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Curse: Other than being blind, Adrian's curse is inability to love.
Elemental power: Fire.
Appearance: Adrian has jet black hair kept in a pixie cut. She is never without her hawk, Mushu.
Personality: Adrian is hotheaded (see what I did there?) and stubborn. She never backs down from a fight, and can't seem to tell when enough is enough. She is a merciful killer, if heartless (see what I did there, again?) Even though Adrian can't love, she's incredibly loyal. She'll fight to get what she wants, which is nearly always the safety of her little sister, the 13 year old Katherine, even if it means her own destruction. Adrian is a great friend, even though she can't love you.
Family History: Adrian's entire family were secret assassins before they came to power. They worked for several other districts in exchange for secrets. Nobody knows the royalty's secrets like her family, and no one will use them against the other royal families just as ruthlessly. Adrian herself is an assassin, but doesn't want the life to continue for her sister for reasons unbeknownst to everyone except her. Adrian's parents were killed during a raid in one of the towns in which their targets were. Adrian was 11 years old.
How are you to handle the being? By any means necessary to keep her sister safe.

Name: Carina Sanguis
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Curse: Chronic hemophilia (gets worse as time progresses)
Elemental power: Fire
Appearance: Carina has pale skin and teal-green eyes, and dark curly hair, usually tied back in a ponytail. Because of her curse, she wears thick clothes, and usually some armor as well. She usually has a red tunic, loose red pants, knee-high boots, leather gloves, a thick leather vest, and elbow and shin guards. In battle, she also wears a crested helmet.
Personality: Carina's curse has made her a little paranoid, so she has trouble trusting people she doesn't know well. She takes a long time to make desicions--she's smart, so she knows her limits, but she has a rebellious streak that she has to fight constantly. Because she keeps her thoughts to herself, she can be unpredictable. When she lets her rebellious side take control, she enjoys sparring for its athletic value, and is quite agile.
Family history: Carina was nearly killed as a small child when she cut herself playing outside. Once her parents realized what was wrong, they kept her inside, out of harm's way, whenever they could. She grew bored quickly, and began to sneak outside. She stayed on the palace grounds, but she learned how to use a sword and a bow, against her parents' wishes. She has more control over her life now that she's older, but she hasn't forgiven her parents for keeping her trapped inside the palace.
How are you planning to handle the being?: Carina is hoping to talk to it. She would prefer to trade her family's riches than try to fight it.

Other: Carina carries a one-sided sword and a small dagger. She theorizes that she can use her power to cauterize any wounds she might get, but she's never tried it before, and she suspects that she'll have to use a lot of energy to do so, in order to avoid making herself bleed more.
