Yes, I said what all you boyfriends, husbands and tortured brothers were thinking. And I'm a girl, a romantic one at that. But I still can't stand the damn things. I'd brether watch a scary movie then some soppy make-you-cry peice of crap. This is for venting and bashing horrible chick flickcs andtalk about good scary and action movies.

As one of those tortured brothers you were talking about, I love chick flicks.

Especially the ones where soldiers are forced to play Russian roulette, and the ones where Al Pacino and Robert Deniro make people offers they can't refuse.

I like chick flicks because of their predictability. Sometimes I want a squishy teddy bear rather than a serrated dagger dripping radioactive hyena toxin. I didn't vote for them, but I recognise their necessary place in the world.

I like Romantic Comedies, so I guess that falls under comedies, but I don't really like chick flicks though, but it's nice if I'm watching it with my girlfriend. (Well, If I do, because I don't have a girlfran) XD

I like romantic comedies, or "chick flicks"? They're my favorite type of movie in fact. I never realized that guys were supposed to dislike them until the Twilight franchise (which no, I do not have fond feelings for) created such a discussion for it.

I'd like to know what exactly constitutes a "chick flick". Is it the same as a romantic comedy? Comedies and Romantic Comeides are the specific genres I like the most, but when people call things like Twilight a chick flick, I get kind of confused of what constitutes which.

The Shining did have a message similar to the ol' "girls just wanna have fun"...
But wait, What a Girl Wants? Really? Way too many explosions, gun duels and gratuitous nudity for a chick flick as far as I understand.
