The Dark Days (Join If The Odds Were Ever In Your Favor)

I wanted to start a story about America collapsing and Panem becoming. Let's see what we can make out of it. How did America fall into pieces and how did the idea of Panem begin? But also, I was thinking of writing about the Dark Days, of how Panem was before The Hunger Games and during the rebellion (war). When The Hunger Games started, how people reacted. So, which one should we do?

Appearance: Long dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, short
BG Story: Her parents got killed for rebelling. The only people in her family that survived is her and her brother. They both escape.

Other: She will never forgive District Thirteen or her parents for rebelling, that got them killed. She hates the fact they left them alone. And she knows how to hide like a pro xD

Gender: Female
Appearance: Jackie is short for her age, but she has an athletic build. She has dark hair that she ties back in a short ponytail, and cinnamon brown eyes. She wears old jeans, lace-up boots, and some sort of dark fleece or bomber jacket. Although she's short, she has an intimidating stare, and she walks confidently.
History: In District 12, Jackie's parents began publishing anti-Capitol pamphlets to try to help the rebellion. They were caught and arrested, but Jackie escaped into the forest with her younger sister, Tam. They found their way to District 13, where Jackie tried to continue her parents' work with pamphlets and radio broadcasts.
Rebel/Not: Rebel
Other: Jackie is very smart and very charismatic. She started her own "Rebel Radio" show, and gives updates and inspiring speeches whenever she can. She tends to keep her emotions to herself, because she's afraid of getting close to people just to lose them to the Capitol. She carries a switchblade, and despite her small size, she's dangerous in hand-to-hand combat. Up for love, but the guy will really have to work to get her.

Veronica had flaming red hair and hazel eyes that shows off the sparkle in her eyes. She is just as pale and is around 5"6. She likes to wear a black top, boots, a jacket where she clips up her Mocking Jay and trousers most of the time. Veronica is hardly seen with accessories.

History: Veronica hardly had her parents around, as they captured and were like slaves. Sometimes, her father risked and came to see his children but soon would go back. Veronica has a younger brother and he's 14 years. Veronica shows excellence for hunting and loves to read all sorts of books. The truth is that, Veronica's mother had no right to see her children as she had committed a crime, long ago.

Other: Veronica is very systematic, choosy and very intelligent. She is a very easy-going person and loves to talk. She spends her time in the forest, looking out for animals and observing nature. She learned to train herself by the age of 3 and is now, training her younger brother, Cameron. Veronica is a little short-tempered but cools of easily, and doesn't like getting into arguments.

She always carries around weapons she's made from the branches of trees and carries around a liquid in a small bottle which recovers a person's health.

Gender: Female
Appearance: Caramel complexion with a golden rose vine tattoo going down the side of her waist, with Dark bronze hair with golden highlights that reaches her mid thigh, deep dimples in both cheeks, known for her golden clothes, makeup, and attitude. She usually dresses provocatively and loves to constantly show skin in short skirts and tight shirts that show off her tattoo, always wears her golden hiking boots no matter what season, outfit, or situation. She's also a petite 5'3

Background story: Victoria is usually known by Vicky and is very flirtatious. Her charismatic and flirty attitude is what brought on the attention of two very evil and disgusting peace keepers. Her parents both knew that she was constantly being sexually harassed yet did nothing about it. Even when she attempted to tell them they both wrote it off as nothing. What not many people know though is that Vicky is very smart and her hate fueled her to make one of the strongest poisons in the world. She made it so that anyone who smells it tastes it or even touches it will instantly die. Now she wasn't dumb so she made it so that she is the only person immune to it. The next week when the peacekeepers attempted to attack her she had splashed herself with some of the poison and as soon as they were within five feet of her they both died. From then on whenever someone was just making her a bit to mad she'd just pop open the bottle and kill them.
As soon as Victoria caught word of the Rebels she immediately wanted in and took down anyone in her way...

Other: Victoria knows that she cant only rely on her poison so she also carries around a little hand gun and five deadly throwing knives (which she can handle with an expertise). She uses her beauty as a weapon and is not afraid to use it. But once earning her trust (which is very hard to do) it goes a long way and she'll instantly open up to you.

Appearance: Very pale but built with a violet tattoo on his upper right arm of the moon. He has platinum blond longish hair with blood red streaks that reaches to the bottom of his neck and emerald green eyes with hazel flecks. He's a tall 6'4 with sculpted muscles. He only wears dark clothes with the occasional bright red t-shirt

Background story: Darren has a past full of secrets that will show themselves throughout the story. He's arrogant and full of himself but very dangerous. He hates rebels with a passion and will never hesitate to kill one whatever chance he gets. He grew up rich and talented for almost everything he tries. He's someones that will constantly have to be watched or he just might get you

Other: He knows how to usealmost any weapon given to him thanks to years of combat training. But (unbeknownst to anyone) he has a thing for bad**s redheads.

I was holding my breath, my brother covering my mouth. We were hiding in the wall of our home. Our parents made a hiding spot here so all five of us could hide here just in case. They knew the war was coming.

My oldest brother, Tobias, he managed to escape ages before this started. I protested and so did my brother, James. That's why we're still here, able to see our parents last breaths as the bullet penetrated their skulls.

A cry was forming at the back of my throat but I couldn't let it go. It would blow our cover. The Capitol troops haven't left yet.

"Two rebels down! And these guys were the worst! All up hiding in Thirteen like little innocent people but really planning horrible things." A chocolate skinned man said.

I could see what was going on through the little hole we made in the wall. It was covered by a beautiful picture of a ship, one of the cannon holes in the picture being our actual hole.

"Oh yeah... I hated them. Remember when I was sent here to pick up some, um, right, explosives? These guys stopped me! They said there was no explosives in Thirteen. Bull." his friend, a pale man replied.

If looks could kill.

"Where are their spawns?"

Spawns. What are spawns? Oh gosh. What are spawns?

"I don't know, probably hiding..."

The soldiers were wearing white suits with helmets which had a glass covering their face. It was not only there to protect them but also so they could see what was going on.

"We gotta find 'em. We don't need no more ugliness and rebelliousness spreading 'round this world."

"Let's search the house."

That's when my heart couldn't stop getting fast and my breathing got shorter. They could find us and slit our throats in no time.
