Laila:

Jefferson slid a latte infront of Jessie. When he came back, I gave him a knowing look - he doesn't give out free coffee. He smiled, chuckled silently, and handed Jessie a towel.

As Jefferson soaked up the water on the floor, I smiled at Jessie, curling my hands around my chai tea, "Jessie, I'm afraid we don't have an extra room, but the couch pulls out. We can set you up thee - don't even worry about it. We'll figire out something more permanent later."

"Thank you, Laila." She said, sipping her latte.

Smiling, I undid the scarf holding my hair up, letting the curls fall to my shoulders, and retied it, keeping my hair off of my back and shoulders. As I tied it, I took great care, as not to move my wig."

"Don't mention it, Jessie." Naya smiled, reassuring her friend.

Looking over to the counter, I saw Jefferson sketching away in his drawing book, occassionally glacing up at us, holding up the pencil to get an angle.

Dakotah:

Footloose blasted into my ears, the volume on my iPod turned all the way up; I danced in the rain, unable to resist the music. As I walked through the front door, I shook the water from my hair and slid off my black fleece jacket.

Dancing across the room, I took Naya by the hand, pulling her from her seat. Holding her at her waist, I got her to dance with me, to sway. Tightening my grip on her waist, I lifted her into the air.

Her scream made me laugh, and I put her back on the ground, tking out my earphones and hitting pause. My eyes landed on a girl i'd never seen.

Beaming, I stated "New girl."

"I'm Jessie," she smiled as she introduced herself. The boy's fun and energy were infectious.
"I'm Dakotah!" he beamed, then gestured that she should dance with him. Jessie laughingly accepted, aware of her two left feet but not really caring.
Within moments she had tripped over a chair leg and landed flat on her face. Everyone looked concerned until she stood up smiling, then they laughed; with her, not at her.
Jessie had only known these people for minutes but already they felt like mates.

I'll post the first plot line tomorrow, but you can carry on 'til then with the introductions and getting-to-know-one-another

Dakotah:

When Jessie stood up, I took out my iPod, unplugged the earphones, and continued with the song through its speakers.

Grabbing Jessie by the waist, I heard Laila yell, "Watch out for that one, Jessie! He dances for a living!"

A laugh fell from my mouth, and I showed off a few moves i'd picked up from the movie Footloose, having Jessie follow suit. Spinning Jessie, I then dropped her hand and did a backflip.

As the song changed, I held my hand out to Jessie, grabbed her by the waist, and lifted her as I had Naya.

Oops- sorry.
I've been quite busy of late.... Sorry.
So- Episode 1. In which... Naya, Laila and Jessie find a stray parrot in their apartment and Jefferson advertises for a new waiter/waitress to help in The Blue Dog (by the way, if you have plot ideas please tell me).
***

Jessie followed Naya and Laila up several flights of stairs in a pleasant if affordable block of apartments. It was closing time at The Blue Dog but Sam, Dakotah and Jefferson had been invited round for drinks.
Naya took out a key and opened the door, revealing Jessie's new temporary home.
"Lock the door and put the keys on the side," a shrill voice ordered, coming from the kitchen.
Another flat-mate? Jessie wondered, but Naya and Laila were frozen in shock.
"I must have left a window open..." Laila whispered, and Jessie's throat closed and she began to feel a panic attack coming on...
"Who's there?" asked Naya, and Jessie could tell she was making an effort to sound calm, "Come out now or I'll ring the police!"
Laila and the boys were edging forwards, into the kitchen...

Spoiler
He doesn't know ANYONE in the "mates" group, okay?
Oh, and guineapiggirl girl, can I add to the episode?
In which Sam try's for a job that he doesn't know the details of.

Sam-
Sam walked inside his favourite coffee shop. He was wearing his finest suit and was heading to his first job interview. He wanted to work at an agency that would benefit him financially, and he had found an opening at a place called- "Corman Corporated." It was good pay, and it was ahat he wanted to do. He didn't know hwat exactly it would be, but he was interested.
He sauntered up to the counter and asked for a flat white. The drink was upon him in seconds. He gulped it down and pulled out his wallet. He handed the barista 5 dollars and picked up his briefcase, which was, to be honest, just for show. He had bought it at the 2 dollar shop and all he had in there was his lunch.

He saw a group of people walking out, giggling. He turned to thank the barista and in doing so, banged into a girl holding a coffee.
The warm liguid went all over both of them and Sam's suit was ruined.
The girl fell over and Sam dropped his suitcase to help her up. He kneeled down and ask if she was okay.
"Ahh, oooh, uummmmm."
"What is it?" Sam asked.
"Your...kneeling on...meh, mah, my...stomach," she replied.
"Oh, goodness! Sorry!" He yelped and jumped up.
The girl grabbed his hand and he lifted her up.
'sorry," she said.
"Don't be stupid. It was my fault."
"Oh! Look at your suit! I'm so sorry! she cried.
"Forget it," said Sam. "I'm Sam, by the way, and you are?"
"Karla." She said and went to shake his hand.
Sam did so and they held it for a couple of seconds.
There was an awkward silence as they stared at each other cheesily, shaking hands and dripping wet with hot coffee,
"I..ah, better go." Sam spoke. He glanced at his watch. "I'm late for a job interview, better run."
Karla gasped.
'You can't go like that! Your soaked!"
"It's fine, it will dry. I better go."
Sam turned and walked away.
'Wait!" Called Karla.
Sam slowly turned his head.
"Yes?"
"Here," she said, walking towards him and pulling out a business card. "I work for a clothing company, call me. I can get you fitted for a new one."
Sam nodded. "Thankyou," he said then turned around.
He headed out the door then just before leaving turned to Karla.
"You have a...bit of coffee...on your, ah nose."
Karla pulled her hands up to her face and kept them there. Sam laughed and walked out the door.
"Thankyou Sam!" she yelled, although, with her hands over her mouth it sounded more like, "dencuhsha!"
It didn't matter, Sam had already flagged a taxi and was driving away.

[spoiler]WOW! that was long! Sorry! The details of the job will be told later, and also, if you have ideas of how Sam and the others can meet, tell me. becaus ei have no idea./spoiler]

Flat-share with Dakotah? And are you actually a Sir? Because that would be really cool. I want to be a Sir. Sadly, that's impossible. P.S. How do you do spoilers?

Naya:

“Stop!” hissed Laila, grabbing the boys by their jackets, pulling them back. The boys turned their heads to look at her for an explanation. “What if the intruder has a gun?” she asked.

Jefferson rolled his eyes. “It’s fine,” he assured her. “If he tries anything, Dakotah can just ballet leap all over his ass.”

It was Dakotah’s turn to roll his eyes. Naya joined him and pulled out her cell phone. “I’m calling the cops.”

“No wait,” Jefferson stopped her, “I know what I’m doing.”

“No you don’t!” Naya protested. “Laila’s right, what if he’s dangerous?”

“Uh … guys …”

They all looked up to see Jessie was already standing in front of the kitchen doorway. She’d obviously walked up there while the rest of them had been busy arguing.

“Jessie!” Naya hissed, in total shock. “What are you doing there? Get back!”

“Yeah, we need to call the cops!” Laila joined her.

“And tell them what?” questioned Jessie, “that a parrot broke in?”

They all stared back in response.

“A what?” asked Naya.

Tobes, i'm cool with being flat mates if you are. Have Sam find a post on a bulletin asking for a roomie, call up Dakotah, and come to check the flat out. If ya want to.

Dakotah:

"A parrot." I stated.

A smile broke out on my face, and I began laughing, "A freaking parrot got in your house."

Shaking my head, I chuckled and announced, "Laila, you got anything good?"

"Check the cabinet above the sink." She sad as she disappeared into the room with the parrot.

I threw open the cabinet doors, and imitated Jack Sparrow, "Where'd the rum go?"

Sam-

"Here," Sam said to the driver and he pulled over.
Sam pulled out his wallet and jumped out of the car.
He passed twenty dollars to the driver, said thanks, then started walking to the office building where his interview was. Around the next corner, a bulletin caught his eye. It was labelled 'Flat Mates Wanted'.
Sam was hooked. He scrolled down the bulletin with his finger and found one that looked alright. It was in the area, it was nice looking, it was male and he was about Sam's age.

Sam looked at his watch.
Three minutes until the interview.
He glanced down the street and saw a big building soaring above the rest. He thought it must be it.
Quickly, he ripped off a strip with the phone number for the flat, stuffed it on his jacket pocket and ran off.

When he arrived at the building it was 11:29 AM.
His interview was at 11:30 so he would be fine.
The lady at the reception looked up at him, then looked at the coffee stain on his suit. She frowned, then returned to typing on her computer. She looks young, and had straw coloured, shoulder length hair. She green diamond eyes and was wearing a red dress.

Sam wandered up to the counter.
She looked at him.
"Hi, I'm here for the, ah, interview, scheduled for 11:30."
The lady, who by her name tag, was called Renee, nodded and started doing something in her computer.
"Certainly," she said. "Under the name of...?"
"Ah, Sam Mihnsor, last time I checked," he smiled.
Renee the Receptionist screwed up her face.
"I suggest you scrap the funny guy, Mr Doodo doesn't like humour."
Sam did a double take.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"I said, Mr Doodo doesn't like humour."
His face beet red and hunched over, Sam burst out laughing, and didn't stop until 11:35 AM.

Ahah! I found it! Yippedeedoo! This is rather exciting...

"What shall we do about it?" Jessie asked, "Should we ring the police or someone anyway, help it find its owner?"
"I'd quite fancy a pet parrot..." someone said.
"Let's have us a biscuit then..." a now familiar voice squawked, and the assembled burst out laughing.

Sorry it's short, too much homework!
