Colt frowned, he didn't want her to get hurt. "But Caiden, he needs you." He sighed, "If one of us gets hurt he needs someone. Not just anyone, he needs one of us."
Tears welled in her eyes and she buried her face in his chest. She couldn't lose him either, and letting him go alone would be like letting herself lose him. She couldn't do it she wouldn't.
"I have to know though," she said "I have to know you're okay and that I can help you if you're not."
"I'll be okay love," he assured her, "I promise."
She looked up at him through her tear soaked lashes, "Do you swear on Tristian?" She couldn't believe the words came out of her mouth, instantly she wanted to die for letting them come out, but she knew it was the only way that she would be comforted. "Do you swear on our son that you will come back?"
She cooed Tristian and slowly got him back to sleep. She curled up on the floor just outside of the living room and listened to the men converse. They were figuring everything right out. She wanted to scream.
Her hand rested on her stomach, her two children may become orphans when this was all over.
