She was awoken a little later by Tristian's screaming. She rose and followed the sound. Colt was rocking Tristian back and forth trying to sush him. She smiled. "Let me see him," he looked at her for a moment and then handed Tristian to her. She started singing slightly he quieted down and fell asleep. "Sometimes a mother's touch is what does it," she said as she put him back in the crib.
