COMMONER-
Name- Astereniya
Gender Female
Age unknown
Personality/ history- A rugged girl, abandoned by her parents when she was 8. She lived off the land and learned to fend for herself. She needs company though, and is quite lonely. Rude to anyone, and everything. Wishes that one day, a charming prince would come and win her heart. She guesses that she is about 17 but does not know for sure. She's not sure why she wanted to find out what it was out the mist. She gave herself a name because she did not like the name she remembered them calling her, Agnes Maria. Astereniya is very closed minded and always believes she is right.
Appearance- Strong, tall and graceful. darker skinned, always carrying her bow and arrows on her back. Long , black hair streaming down her back. Wears deer skins for clothes. Has a necklace she remembers her mother gave her, made from seashells and shark teeth.
Other- Has a strange tattoo on her arm of a cat's eye. Not very trusting of people.
up for love?- Maybe, but he will have to win my trust.

Name: Zea Valerente
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Personality: Zea is determined and stubborn, and flatly refuses to give up once she sets her mind on something. She's very smart, and often concocts convoluted schemes to get what she wants. She's confident and headstrong, and is sometimes a little arrogant. She places high value on freedom and human life, and won't kill anyone unless she has to. She enjoys the thrill of a fight, and likes to challenge herself.
Appearance: Zea has very curly, dark hair, and amber eyes. She's tall for a girl, and has an athletic build. She usually keeps her hair in a ponytail or a bun, which she tucks under her helmet when she's wearing it (see Other). She wears a red tunic and pants, knee-high leather boots, a thick belt, and a leather-metal composite chest plate. She also wears leather gloves and sometimes a helmet with a red crest.
Other: Trying to escape the repressive life of a noble, Zea disguised herself as a boy by hiding her hair under her helmet and joined the army. She's very talented, and rose through the ranks quickly. By the time her secret was discovered, she had achieved the rank of captain, and was considered too valuable to let go. She was allowed to keep her position, on the condition that she continue to disguise herself. She carries a short one-handed sword, a knife, a longbow, and a broadsword with a decorative chunk of obsidian on the end.

We're starting People!

Astereniya

The wind gently tossed my hair from side to side as I took one last glimpse at the place that I had called home. My home consisted of a bed of leaves underneath a tree. I sighed and stepped farther out into the misty forest. The thick, never ending cloud smothered my home, and I knew that I would never see it again. I began to stealthily walk through the forest, as nimble as a deer. I leaped over logs and jumped in trickling streams as I began to run at a steady pace, towards the edge of the forest.
I could barely see more than a few steps before me because of the fine mist that bathed everything. The mist had settled in a few years ago and since then, I had never seen the sun. The land changed itself when the mist rolled in. Things were no longer what they seem. The mist had changed the landforms, the cities, the animals, but most of all, the people. You could no longer trust people, even the friendly ones. They were even more likely not what they seem.
The forest rushed past me in faded green colors because of the mist. I missed the suns warming rays, cascading down upon the land. No, I thought, the sun is a thing of the past. Because of the mist, this land had gone from being Hungdra, meaning sun filled joy, to Likuyt jurtdual, meaning land of endless sorrows, All because of the perpetual mist.

Zea

I started off into the forest at dawn, hoping to make it to the edge before sunset. I had planned to walk ten miles each day, and leave myself an hour to set up shelter at night. Shelter would be very important beyond the forest. That part of Likuyt-jurtdual hadn't been mapped, so no one knew what was out there.

The mist wasn't too bad here in the forest. It wasn't so much a cloud as it was a haze--it didn't block out my vision, just made it a little blurry. I knew I couldn't expect such good seeing beyond the forest, though. Everything beyond the trees was marsh, which would have been foggy even without the unnatural mist.

I trotted along at a good pace, zigzagging around rocks and tree roots. My pack would snag on low-hanging branches occasionally, but that didn't slow me down. Everything in the forest was green this time of year--the grass, the moss, the leaves, even the flower buds. It was a quiet green, though, a subdued green. Except for the soft pat of my footsteps, the forest was completely silent, devoid even of the rustling of birds and other little animals.

Then I heard something snap behind me. I froze, whipping my longbow off my back. There it was again--the snapping of twigs. I saw a silhouette appear in the mist, running toward me.

I quickly nocked an arrow and drew my bow, aiming at the person's throat. "Freeze!" I shouted.
