@Lyricalis: -laughs- Okay, yeah. That would've been a bad idea.
@Kyllorac: Yeah, it's just one of those nitpicks I have. It's between my dislike of the words ain't and ya'll and my vague annoyance in response to how some people write alot or alright instead of a lot and all right. I figured I'd mention it, even though a lot of people use the terms interchangeably. I found it funny because while asking about everyone's gender and someone says they're female, the picture in your head of what female is may be utterly wrong. That's ignoring the fact that the word sex terrifies everyone, which is hilarious and sad in itself. XD
@Raelyn723: I've noticed that there's a lot of younger female writers currently. I assume it's because writing, especially poetry and plays, is seen as a feminine activity at this point, even though if you go back a bit in history women's writing was considered trash. Even today few female writers win the bigger awards or have their books read in schools and most female journalists end up writing about women's issues or softcore stuff. It's one of those weird contradictions that tend to be pretty harmful. I suppose writing is like the new ballet or acting--used to be all men, now it's considered weird for men to do it. Bizarre stuff.
By the way, if anyone didn't figure it out, (from my style of writing or otherwise) I'm a GIRL. ^^
