Hi everyone! I love to write, but ever since starting uni I've been writing a lot less (usually only when I have to) so I decided to join this site so I can hopefully get back into it and meet some like minded writers.
I I know what you mean about uni, it has a tendencyy to slow things down. I study Englishh and Creative Writing and I still struggle sometimes to just sit down and write for the sake of writing and having fun!
How about you, what do you study? And what sort of writer are you: prose, scripts, poetry? A bit of everything?
If you've got any questions or need a helping hand to show you around the site, just drop me a pm and I'll find someone who's good at that stuff (joking!). Honestly, I'm always happy to help,
Thank you Rydia I study English lit with Creative Writing as well. It's strange, I always thought studying Creative Writing would help to write more but seems to be having the opposite effect!
I mostly write prose and poetry. What do you like to write?
He he thanks! If I need any help I'll be sure to let you know.
The idea that a poem was a made thing stayed with me, and I decided then that I wanted to be an artist, not just a diarist. So I put myself through a kind of apprenticeship in writing poetry, and I understood even then that my practice as a poet was deeply related to my reading. — Edward Hirsch
