Well, I'm new here, and I guess that's why I'm posting here. So, hi!! I'm BirdIsTheWord, but call me Bird for short. I love writing, as I guess that everybody on this site does. But I also enjoy singing and acting in musicals, obsessing over The Hunger Games, and bother my twin sister. I hope that we can all be friends, because I love making friends!

Welcome to YWS! Guess what? I love writing too, mostly fiction, what do you like to write? Annnd, I like singing - however, I'm a terrible singers and my siblings always complain when I do but that never stops me. In fact, their unwillingness to hear my voice is a great motivator for me, oddly enough.
It's kind of cool you have a twin sister too, I've always thought there was a cool sense of psychic waves that passed through twins. Things like finishing each others sentences and stuff.
Anyway, I'm glad you decided to jump into the YWS site. We're glad to have new members and if you have any questions, feel free to scribble on my wall or send me a message if you're lost. I'll be happy to help you out. :3

I'm a terrible singer, but my brother is like a portable radio. He sings different songs and changes stations in a heart-beat so there's never a dull moment when he's around. I love acting too and it's a lot of fun. Have you seen 'The Hunger Games' movie yet? What did you think of it? I don't know much about the series but I hear it's really good. I should get to reading it soon!

So what all you like writing? Are you into short fiction?
It's so amazing that you're interested in musicals. I just feel kids these days have forgotten all about this concept. But anyways, that's just what I think.

Sorry! I've been super busy with school midterms and the like. Hmm, lets see. I like to write fiction, mostly fantasy and historical. It's an odd combination, but sometimes I learn about some cool time period and I write about it. Sometimes I try to write in this dystopian novel, but I'm not very good at writing future.
I have in fact seen the Hunger Games! My Honors English class went with the regular English, who were reading it as curriculum. It was really good, and the mutts made me jump out of my set. I cried twice.
Musicals are great, and yes most people have forgotten about them. We had to beg boys to be part of our cast of Pirates of Penzance this year! I wish I performed professionally, but I'm happy with my high school drama family. We have a kick-butt director who is (in my opinion) the best public high school director in all of Northeast Ohio! He has to work with a super poor school that gives us no money, but we always sqeak by with a fabulous performance. He's been told that the Middle School puts on High School quality shows, while our High School shows are more like college or professional shows. Last year, our version of "South Pacific" put a WWll vetran in tears.
Being a twin is great, except when its not. Even though me and my sister aren't identical, most people think we are. She's older than me by seven minutes and doesn't hesitate to remind me of that fact every day. We had to share a tiny bedroom for ten years and we're close because of that, but its not always a good thing. She and I are completely different. I like to sing and act, she enjoys ballet and hip-hop. I love volleyball, she likes basketball. I like to get good grades and then forget school, she enjoys our Academic Challenge team. She hangs with those "popular" people, and I'd rather have fun with my drama family.
Hmm what else could you possibly want to know about me? Erm, I like playing this extreme version of Uno, and I play full-contact musical chairs. My friends and I got kicked out of a local icecream shop for coming in, ordering nothing, then proceding to play extreme Uno, in which we decided that the word "uno" can be a multi-purpose cuss word. (we called people a "son of an uno")
