Script Frenzy 2012

30 days. 100 pages. April. Are you in?

Okay so Script Frenzy is almost upon us and you can sign up to take part here or you can just join in on the YWS forums.

The challenge is to write 100 pages of script in the 30 days of April. Sound crazy? Well maybe it is a little but it's also lots of fun!

The way we're organising it this year is that everyone taking part will post their script under 'Script' in the literary forums but be sure to make your description read as '[My] Script Frenzy 2012'. That way we know you're participating.

I'm not actually taking part this year as I'm doing the NaPo challenge and I'm not quite crazy enough to try both (I know, boooo! One year my doves, one year).

That aside though, this is going to be an amazing event so who's thinking of giving it a go?

I'm so going to try this. But I need lots of BUGGING in order to actually do it. Or I'll forget in a flash.

But. I won once, and I'll win again!

Umm.. I'm new to the site. So, I just wanted to know, when you say script, do you mean for a play?

Any kind of script! The site that Rydia linked (or here) lists the following kinds of scripts:

Screenplays, stage plays, web series, TV shows, short films, and graphic novels are all welcome.

I'll be doing a children's screenplay, so about an hour and a half movie. It's up to you what you want to do! Usually some form of media/art is involved with your script, and the script itself isn't seen by the audience (except perhaps die-hard fans ).

I'm trying my hand at a script for the first time time this year.

I enjoy writing scripts, but I'm often staring at a blank screen for hours on end. I need to overcome this.
