The day: December 1st, 2140.
The time: Midnight.
Setting: New York City, New York.
Today
All electricity is shut off, all running water frozen. It's the middle of winter and New York City is covered in a three foot blanket of ice and snow. People of the city are making do and huddling together, trying to keep warm. This is normal for New York this time of year now that electricity is scarce and the world is fighting to maintain water. Everything normal has changed. Fire is illegal, water includes a permit, food is in rations. The world is coming to an end, but people have known that for years.
The Demon
This isn't a normal winter, though, this is the winter everyone dreads. Every four-hundred years the demon Malum arises from the ground to claim victims for his thirty day feast. If you are caught in his grip he will not think twice before he eats you or makes you his slave for eternity. Malum can come in any form, including human. He is attractive to all and has a way about him that makes people love him. But don't be fooled. He is a fallen angel, doomed to spending hundreds of years underground. He has huge black wings no matter what form he chooses.
The Dream
At midnight exactly you wake from a dream of the fallen angel. He calls to you, tells you to come to him, to serve him forever. He offers you immortality for your loyalty to him. Shall you choose to serve him, he will give you everything your heart desires... but if you don't he will find you and kill you himself. He has several minions with him--humans from former years who have chosen to serve him. And with the help of you, those minions will set him free from the earth once and for all. Will you be one of them? Will you set him free? Will you fall for his act?

1. No gross pictures! If I find one picture that's considered porn or anything like it I will have it removed and you will be reported.
2. No descriptive sex scenes. Though romance is encouraged, I don't want to have to read something too descriptive. Make it vague.
3. Be creative and have fun with it. I want this to be a good storybook. For this to work everyone is going to have to be creative. This isn't real and I know most people have never been or seen New York City (like me :3) and it doesn't matter. It doesn't have to be precise.
4. Don't join if your not going to be active. The only thing I hate when it comes to storybooking is laziness. I ask that you post once a day. If you have a problem with this, PM me and we'll discuss it.
5 Cussing is allowed. It's part of creativity and it's encouraged. I don't have a problem with cussing and if you do, then you don't have to use it, be be warned, others will.
