Some of you may already know about Kony, the leader of a rebel gang in Africa. He has committed some terrible crimes against humanity like:
Adducting children from their parents
Giving boys a gun and making them kill their friends and family!
Raping girls and making them sex slaves!
Mutating peoples faces and killing them!
He is committing crimes beyond any we can imagine and hardly any one knows about it!!!!!
The worse thing is that he does for no reason except to inflict pain and hurt on others!
He must be stopped at all costs and this is what this forum is going to help do!
We want to make Kony famous!!!!!!!

In this forum we will be making others on YWS aware of the cruelty going on in the world and making a difference in the world! The aim is to get enough people making governments aware of what is going on so that they can post military action in Africa to help capture Kony THIS YEAR!!!!!

I will need help though! simply a second in command to make others aware. This will involve posting links on walls and just in general telling everyone about it!!!! Of course this does not stop others from promoting it too!!!1

But remember it doesn't just stop here!!!! No go out and tell everyone about Kony, through Facebook, twitter and any other form of communication!!!!!

Just found out about this last night I posted on my fb and tweeted it, gonna help as much as I can, isn't really much i can do in Iceland!

I'm glad the word about Kony is finally getting out. I remember hearing about this a year ago, but no one knew about Kony back then.

Kony has been around for considerably longer than a year, just so we're clear. I urge you to research the situation before leaping into any websites or such. A well informed protester is a good protester.

I feel it's really important to point out some of these links. I haven't gotten through them all, but they might be a good start to research. As the one link states, there's a public form from the IRS that'll state all of Invisible Children's spending and what not, so you can check that out yourself. Like Penguin attack said, an informed protester is a good protester! Sometimes people jump to quickly at these things. Often the intentions are right, but the execution is often wrong, or at least questionable. So here are some of the links, and as I said, I haven't gotten through all of them yet, and I don't know if I'll get to right now, but for the benefit of others, here you guys go:

I recommend to keep researching and following! Staying up to date is always important, along with the fact checking and cross checking(Do try to find evidence against me, so I don't pass on a wrong message in the event I've given biased links ).

As for there expenses, I do wish to point out that everyone says "only 32%." 16% goes to "Management and general," which is likely pay, and whatever "General" is. How many of the founders are there? Like 3? That would each mean they're likely guaranteed 200,000 dollars (for 2011). I'd say that's a pretty dandy salary. But back to 32%, I feel like that's actually kind of a lot, especially when the other money goes to awareness. So yeah, 16% does go to salary and "management," but aside from that 32% for direct action doesn't sound too shabby, considering how bad others are. That's in KONY 2012's, defense. On the other hand, I do think that it probably is a better idea to advocate directly towards Kony's arrest, and not some arbitrary charity. Don't be lazy about "making a difference." Watch where you throw your money, and make sure you're happy with how it's being spent. If you like the raising awareness, go for it! But, put it where YOU think it matters, not where you just can say you "made a difference". Care enough to give it some though, please! But, we must credit Invisible Children for getting the word out(however correctly), but it's out enough where if people really care, it should keep going by itself. We don't need too much more "Awareness." If the word dies, who's fault is that?

I completely agree, I have checked out some information and will continue to do so. I think the best way this is going to work is if everybody is involved and knows as much as possible. There are rumours going around that it is all a scam but if you look further into you will know that Kony has been going around for 20 years or more. It is always important to find out what per cent of money yuo give to any charity goes to what. If everybody could stay as informed as possible then that is the best way to protest and help!!!
