Gale- Evil

"Hunter, glad you could join us" I said, lazily "Nice of you to do something, for once"
I left, but stopped again "Tomorrow, do me a favour and bring Cora here to a meeting point with our enemies. My spiders will contact them. And make sure Diablo's heart is set on the right thing to do"
And I left.

Do we just vote for one person overall, or one for each position?

Laiel

Adrian apparently wasn't feeling very talkative, so Laiel just left her the food and walked out, locking the door behind him. It was time to get to the meeting anyways.

Once everyone was assembled, Blighton began. "All right. To start we need to elect a second and third in command, just in case something happens to me. We also need to make a new patrol schedule, and make a deal with Hunter concerning Cora. I want you guys to think about who would be the best to take charge if I'm gone or too badly injured to lead. Think on that."

Jayden was talking to Elsa - they were probably going to vote for each other, Laiel thought - but most other people seemed deep in thought. Who should I vote for? he wondered. He considered all these people friends, if not normal friends, and he couldn't pick one person out of all the others. Well, you have to pick anyways, you big softie, he scolded himself. But who?

Blighton-

"Oh, you can vote for youself too." I said, almost forgetting. Jayden and Kelsey had already writtten down their votes and slid them across the table to me.

Hunter

"Hunter, glad you could join us" Gale said, lazily "Nice of you to do something, for once"

This would have been the perfect moment to stuck out my tongue and made a face at him. Common sense and the mass of spiders that seemed to follow him everywhere stopped me though.

Now that my poorly concealed cover was blown, I shifted my attention back to Cora and Diablo.

"Can't believe you managed to keep her fairly...unscratched for so long," I said, wagging my eyebrows, "I wonder why."

Gale- Evil

"...Unscratched for so long" smirked Hunter.
I chuckled. Hunter had actually given me a pretty good opening.
"Well, Diablo can manage that in bed... however, my servants here prefer a more literal approach" both Diablo and Cora started towards me, but the spiders shifted, and they stopped, staring at each other.
"Now, Hunter, do me a favor and prove you're a decent leader by captaining this one operation, will you? Or you'll discover that I am one jerkass bastard... with toxic fangs"

I raised an eyebrow at Gale. Having an army of spiders must make one pretty confident. I crossed my arms together and tried not to wobble as I straightened up a bit.

"Are you...threatening me, Spidey-pants?" I drawled out.

Gale snorted and took a step closer. His spiders crawled closer as well. Hmmm, wish I had an army of mini cheetahs as well.

"Actually, little lynx, I am" I whisper, very close to her. "An army of spiders has the added benefit of making oneself confident... and my question still stands... will you lead this operation, or shall I? Either way, it's the most powerful shifter here is"

Oh...the 'most powerful shifter' tactic. It was a trap, an under the table bribe yet my ego got the better of me.

"Cheetah, Spidey, I am friggin' cheetah," I snarled hopelessly. I didn't seem to be much of a threat with what? Blood soaked bandages from the very same person threatening me right now. There goes all my dignity and pride.

He smiled sweetly and we both knew just how close I was to giving in.

"What can I get out of this?" I said suspiciously.

"Cheetah... that is so pathetic, Hunter dear" I said. I found her helplessness cute, in a roundabout sort of way.
"And we can drop this as soon as you either agree to 'lead' this mission or step down, which would be the safest course of action. The outside choice is that you meet some of my friends. Whichever you choose, I'm happy. You're beat, dear"

Adrian

Opening my eyes and slowing sitting up, I come to realize that I am not in my own room. Yawning and streching, I move to try and stand. Suddenly, a slight pain shoot up my leg. What? I move the covers that I was under and take a look. A shark bite. Everything that happened comes rushing back, making my dizzy.

Suddenly, the click of a door knob sounds throughout out the room. Sitting up straighter, I see Laiel comes in with food. For a second, we stare at each other.

"So you're awake," Laiel said, setting the plate down on the table by the bed. "Are you feeling alright?"

I stare at him blankly. There is no way I am going to tell him that I have a damn bite mark on my leg that kind of stings. He shrugs, puts the plate of food down and leaves. After the door clicks shut, I count to 10. Nothing. Slowly swinging my legs over the bed, I make my way over to the food. Sniffing it, I decide to try it. As soon as I taste the food, I realize how hungry I am. Eating the whole plate, I start to make my way back to bed, when the door knob turns again.

July, finally :D

Hunter

Oh how satisfying the crunch of his head would be by my own fangs.

"I'll take part in your little game then," I grumbled pathetically. No way in hell was I stepping down.

Before Gale could open his mouth and spit out more venomous words, I quickly shot back, "So what do we do now?"

Sometimes even citrus shampoo can't help me.

I smiled.
"Ah, finally, the little cheetah yields" I smirked. I loved mind games- and it was just so satisfying to see the mighty Hunter submissively agree to anything I said. I had the upper hand, and we both realized this.
"And so, this brings us nicely to what we need to do. However, you have more knowledge of our pesky enemies, hence I shall unfortunately need your help"
I steered her away from Cora and Diablo, my spiders following, though many stayed behind. I was a cautious person, after all.
"It's simple. You make sure the good guys get word that we have Cora, we negotiate a ransom, I capture the good guys, raze their base, force them to agree to my terms, become crowned as the spider king and make sure everyone realizes how pathetic a leader you are. Have fun."

Hunter

If eyes could really drill holes into someones head...

"So I'm your little minion, huh, the go between person running around making your errands," I said lightly.

He nodded and grinned, "Exactly."

"So if something were to go wrong, say, miscommunications and whatnot, you wouldn't become king of the little disgusting critters?"

He frowned slightly, but kept on walking. One moment I was there and the next I had my fingers pressed delicately on his neck. Geeze, was this guy even human? How is it that someone can feel like a corpse yet have a steady heartbeat.

"I'll play along, Gale, but I'm not going to stay in this state forever, hun. Better make some friends while you still can."

With that I breezed off, hoping he didn't notice the faint, 'Ow, that hurt...' from me and headed towards to good base.

I could feel him staring back at me and he called out, "Ha ha, very funny Hunter."

"ha ha, very funny Hunter" I called back "And if communications go wrong, no, I'd still be right where I want to be... And I assure you, I need no more friends than my servants... I'd be wary of the dark if I were you, Hunter... listen for the scuttle..." I laughed ominously, but really it was a hollow victory. I wanted to add 'Or we could just get along', but I was made of sterner stuff. I had a reputation to uphold.

Blighton-

While the Shifters thought, I went out on patrol. It was nice out. I strolled along, until I smelled Hunter's scent. Hunter? What was she doing here?

I knew she was still weak, too weak for a fight at least. I crouched in the middle of some bushes and waited for her to approach.
