Nero feeds off the energy of any living organism and converts the energy into cripplingly realistic illusions that can affect the mind and the body and that have an incredible range, affecting creatures in a 25 radius at the most. Those he takes energy from should feel lightheaded and dizzy before fainting and others simply sink into a deep sleep. Those experiencing his illusions should feel completely immersed in whatever scene he places them into.

Along with his powers, he is extremely adept with firearms and uses two semi-automatic hand guns. He is also extremely stealthy and can easily move unseen. However, he is not a good team player, not because he disrespects his teammates, but simply because he is used to doing his own thing. He is also impulsive and extremely ruthless, as his moral compass is kind of screwed up. He has a very itchy trigger finger. He blurs the line between Hero and Villain constantly and has said that he dwells in the grey area.

Nero, regardless of his occasional shady behaviour, takes enormous honour in being a gentleman. He speaks very pedantically and gives off a very sophisticated air, something that makes him stand out in a high-school setting. He is a very good listener and truly tries his best to be a good person. He refuses to believe that chivalry is dead and is extremely polite to all of the ladies. He is very down-to-earth and gets extremely uncomfortable when around extremely loud and opinionated people. He has a very subtle sense of humour. As for girls, to be honest, they are a mystery to him. He keeps his relationships with other people on a very impersonal basis and can grow stoic and cold when he feels they are getting too close.

Nero likes chess, old movies, fast cars, and sitting on top of tall buildings. He does not have many obvious dislikes as he prefers to remain neutral and impartial towards things he doesn't particularly like out of respect for other people's opinions. So, in a way, he has sort of trained himself not to dislike things. However, if he thought about it, he'd probably say hypocrites.

Nero was born during the Bosnian War to a family of Italian Diplomats in Sarajevo who were working to keep peace between the people of Bosnia, generally to improve their trade relations with Italy. When their compound was decidedly in the way of advancing forces, it was overrun and many were killed. However, an American Journalist discovered him as she was evacuating and took him to the U.S. where part of his family was living. Though he does not specifically remember the exact details of these events, they left a part of him severely traumatised and could have affected his mind enough to have influenced the development of his powers. He also theorised that the close range explosives, that should have caused sudden nerve trauma, participated as well. (He's thought about this a lot.) His Aunt and Uncle in the U.S., being descendants of Mob families, were classy but aggressive and taught him all they knew.
