Mafia Wars

It's the 1940s, and the Prohibition era is in full swing. Despite a heavy police presence, Chicago has now become a hot-bed for drug-trafficking, prostitution, corruption and other illegal activities. Amongst all this chaos, two crime families have risen to the top of the scene gaining wealth and power through the illegal and underground bootlegging trade. Both these families are now fighting each other for ultimate control of Chicago city.

The Torrio Crime Family:

Alfonso 'Alfie' Torrio: He is the kingpin of the Torrio Mafia. His wife died shortly after giving birth to twins and he never remarried. He has three sons.

Giovanni Torrio: Known as ‘Smooth talker’. He is his father’s right-hand man and deals with the day-to-day dealings of the family, whether it’s organising business meetings or keeping the rest of his younger brothers in check.

Niccolo Torrio: Known as ‘Handsome Nic'. Only a year younger, he resents the fact that his brother is in charge. He's incredibly handsome, but behind those good-looks lies a cold-hearted killer. He is the enforcer of the family, acting upon his father’s orders to kill, bribe their opponents. He’s obnoxious, bad-tempered and cruel, and spends most of his time trying to outdo his older brother.

Lorenz Torrio: Known as ‘Mr Hush’. He is the more quiet and reserved twin-brother of Niccolo. He is also the enforcer of the family, but unlike his older twin brother, he takes no pleasure in the crimes he has to commit and often questions the morals of his family’s actions.

The LaRay Crime Family:

Vincent 'Vinny' LaRay: He is the kingpin of the LaRay mafia. His wife is a former Broadway dancer. He has one son from his previous marriage, and another with his second wife.

Danny Vincent LaRay: Known as ‘Dutch’. He is Vinny's oldest son and next in line to his father's empire. He is a reasonable young man who likes to play things by the book and only uses violance as a last resort. Once he does use violance, he is brutal and merciless. His trademark is carving his initials on the dead bodies of his opponants with his custom-made Dutch knife. He doesn't get along with his step-mom because she tends to treat him as an outsider.

Deano Vincent LaRay: Known as ‘Li'l Fairy’. He is an ivy league student who attended Harvard. His lack of interest in the family business has led to accusations that he has no back-bone. His older brother goes so far as thinking he's gay - hence the nickname 'Li'l Fairy'. It is unclear whether such rumours are true or not, but his mom is doing her best to ensure that it's not.

Georgiana Simone LaRay: Known as ‘G.G’. Her father was a LaRay. A year ago, her parents died in a mysterious car crash. For the past 6 months she has been living with her uncle and aunt. She is only vaguely aware of their criminal activities, mainly because they've done a pretty good job keeping it from her.

In order to put a stop to both crime familes, a new federal agent has been brought in to set up a special task force to infiltrate both families in order to bring them down.

Torrio's: A popular Italian restaurant owned by the Torrio’s. Only the rich can afford to dine there. It’s where the Torrio’s hold their ‘business meetings’.


K.O Arena: Chicago’s most prestigious boxing venue owned by the LaRay’s. The Arena has hosted fights for some of the world's top boxers. It’s where the LaRay’s hold their ‘business meetings’.


Madame Belles: A popular burlesque bar located in the heart of Chicago City. The place is visited by both the Torrio's and the LaRay's, as well as Chicago's socialites.


Chicago Police Department: Contains both dirty cops working for both crime families and straight cops working to bring both families down.


City Hall: Where the city mayor is. He is a big supporter of the LaRay's but is starting to swing to the Torrio's favor because they are offering to pay him more.

God I'm so dumb!!! I didn't realise you'd posted to my wall *facepalms* Sorry my profile is taking so long I'll have it up by tomorrow.

Name: Esme Nerca
Nickname: Umbra
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Appearance: (An image will be included at the bottom) Umbra has shoulder length black hair and fairly pale skin, she’s approximately 6’1” in height. While on the job she’ll be found wearing a black outfit along with darkly rouged lips and either dark purple or black eye shadow.

Role: Umbra works for the Torrio family in Madame Belles, finding out information and reporting back to only high ranking Torrio family members.

Personality: She has a true dislike of men, which will be explained in her history. However, Umbra is a very loyal person who is also extremely strong willed, once she’s set her mind to something it’s going to get done. But she’s not stupid, she’s actually quite street smart. As part of her job she comes across as a very flirty person but in reality Umbra is very serious about what she does.
Strengths/Weaknesses: She has a bit of a soft spot for Lorenz Torrio, aka ‘Mr Hush’, but she’d never let anyone know. She’d rather die than let anyone know. Another of her weaknesses is ‘her girls’ (the new or younger girls who work at Madame Belles are under Umbra’s protection) and she will not let anything bad happen to them. One of her strengths is a mixture of her determination and intelligence, she can form almost fool-proof plans as well as be able to cover her tracks in the crime world. This also helps in her occupation, she can bully information out of clients that she can’t win over with guile.

History: Esme grew up with three older brothers and divorced parents, and it wasn’t a happy childhood. Her mother, once a respectable woman, was reduced to burlesque work in order to earn a living on her own, while her father became a drunkard. Her older brothers got part time jobs but still lived at home. After their parents’ divorce, Esme’s brothers developed a twisted view on reality and when they became teenagers and began to have ‘urges’ and found that they couldn’t get themselves girlfriends they practised on their sister. This sparked a hatred of men, but it only grew to what it is over the following years. Aged fifteen, Esme ran away from home and lived on the streets of Chicago to be picked up by some ‘recruiters’ for Madame Belles Burlesque. Here she worked for practically no pay, pickpocketing as much as should could from as many clients as she could. For most of her early years working, Umbra was forced upon the ugliest of clients as all new girls were. Want to guess who put an end to that rule? Yeah, it was Umbra. This was when she earned her nickname, and trust me you don’t want to know the details. She then got in good with the Torrio family in 1935 and has been working for them since, and on the plus side she practically runs Madame Belles now.

Up for love? Yes and no, she’s single and she’s straight. But she hates men. You’ll have to make her really like you.

Name: Giovanni Torrio

Nickname: Van

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Appearance:
He has brown short, tidy slick back hair. He keeps his appearance respectable including his face, he’s good looking guy but not to the point that every girl he meets throws themselves at him.
His shirt was red and the tie was black matching the waistcoat and suit jacket all buttoned up. And on top was an open black double breasted long jacket that was only half a foot off the ground. With a pair of black gloves in the inside right hand pocket if needed.
And he sometimes wears a black trilby but that’s very uncommon.

Role:
He is his father’s right-hand man and watches over all the daily works of the businesses and tries to attend to all matters personality but doesn’t over step his boundaries that his father has placed.

Strengths/Weaknesses & Personality:
He is organized, resourceful, intelligent and wise for a young man, its good but it’s also had a negative effect on him and made him slightly paranoid and carries three weapons minimum where ever he is but he prefers to call it ‘prepared for anything’ if anyone comments about it. He is also a silver tongued devil and can rap a good cop round his finger with a few words and the right approach.
He is loyal to the family and cares about any and everyone within it regardless of position within it, as he believes that without the ones at the bottom holding them up him, his brothers and father wouldn’t be in the position they were today.
However he doesn’t hold the slightest piece of pity to anyone who betrays or crossed his family but with reason and if possible get information from them.

History:
He grew up round the family business and always admired his father’s strong empire he built. With no mother it was only him and his brothers and liked to be the overseer and watched his brothers and made sure he was always there for them but feels that’s why Niccolo resents him.
He had a normal child and teen hood as it could get till he was caught in the middle of a crossfire between his family and the LaRays, witnessing death and horror he asked his father to let him help with the business once he was out of hospital as he was hit by two bullets in the shoulder breaking his collarbone and luckily when cleanly thought without causing any other damage but left two enter and exit wounds to remind him.

Up for love? Yes

Other:
He always carries two colts 1911, one in a holster with extra magazines then a backup one that’s kept either in his one deep long jacket pockets or tucked behind his back held in place by his trousers. And then kept a knuckle duster in his left trouser pocket in case anything got a bit out of hand.
And if he knows he's going into unfriendly territory he'll have a shotgun or tommy gun under the jacket.

Nickname: Dutch
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance: Danny is often mistaken for one of the 'muscle' by outsiders. He stands at 6'6 and is broad shouldered. He takes pride in his physical size and strength, often utilising it if words fail to do the job. He has short black hair which is often combed back. Most of the time he wears a tailored grey suit and red tie.
Role: Second-in-command of the LaRay's. He acts on his father's orders while pursuing his own side of the family business (in-roads into the heroin trade)

Personality: Despite his intimidating stature Danny often prefers a subtler and more diplomatic approach to things unless that fails then he's more than willing to kill you and all of your friends. He is at heart a ruthless individual, mercy is only used if it served a special purpose. He has a strong belief in family and is dedicating his life to preserving and improving what his father built. And the lack of what he sees as any other 'worthy heirs' for his father has only made his pursuit even more ruthless. There are only a few people that he likes or trusts but he would still kill all of them if they threatened his family, despite his disgust with his younger brother.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Dany is very physically strong and good in a fight, his father having made take up boxing as a child - a practise he still keeps at to this day. He is also very handy with his signature knife, finding it quieter and easier to conceal than a gun. He is not some kind of dumb brute, having inherited his father's sharp mind, he has outwitted the police and rival gangs more than once. He is however prone to violent and often disastrous rages, especially if he feels betrayed or if someone threatens his family.

History: He was raised and educated personally by his father, having been born before his father became one of the leaders of the Chicago Underworld, as such he has a certain dislike for higher education (causing more than a little friction with his brother). He has never had any form of legal employment since he was a child, spending all of his teenage and adult years working for his father. When he was 19 his father gave him his own operation, free from the LaRay empire. It was a mild success until Dutch realised that there was more money to be made in the growing drug trade than trying to take on the already established bootleggers. He used his father's connections to ship Opium and heroin direct from their source, saving money from the lack of middlemen. He has since earned a reputation for selling the purest product and is now one of the biggest players in the Chicago drug trade, supplying several other gangs both inside and out of Chicago as well as running his own dens.

Gender: Female

Appearance: G.G. has long, straight black hair and light brown eyes. She is tall at about 5' 6", and has very light skin. Her skin is flawless, not a freckle or zit in sight. She has perfect teeth and is very slim. She is always very well dressed in dresses and gowns with heels, or occasionally flats. She is a very pretty girl.

Role: She lives with her aunt, uncle, and cousins. Not completely aware of what goes on with the family business.

Personality: She is very sweet, but can also be hard-headed and stubborn. She is friendly and has no problem meeting new people. She enjoys singing, and wants to escape from the family drama to be a singer. She kind of knows what goes on with the family, but she doesn't approve. Since the family is always worried about their family business, they don't really ever have time for her, even her parents never did, so she feels pretty alone, but she doesn't let it show. She is good at hiding her emotions around her family. She likes music, animals, and reading. She doesn't like people who lie, dancing, or people who hide things from her. She doesn't really like her family, because they are never honest with her, and they always yell at her over small things. Sometimes she gets frustrated with them and runs away for the night, getting into all kinds of trouble. She feels alone in life. She just wants someone to love, someone she connects with, that she can talk to. Someone that understands her.

Strengths: She is a good singer. She is very smart. She is good at hiding her emotions. She is very sly, and secretive. She is excellent at throwing knives and is a good fighter, though most people don't know that about her.

Weaknesses: She feels alone in life. She gets easily frustrated. She is a horrible dancer. She would do anything for a real relationship. She gets into trouble a lot. The Torrio's often target her, knowing that the family doesn't keep an eye on her that often, and she's easy prey for them since she just about looks for trouble.

History: G.G. grew up living with just her parents, though she's pretty independant because they never really had time for her. She doesn't know much about the family business, but she kind of knows about it, and knows that's why her parents were never around. A year ago her parents died in a mysterious car crash and she lived on her own for a while, but her aunt and uncle took her in six months ago because they knew she wasn't doing too well by herself.

Up for love: Yep, she would do anything for a real relationship.

Other: She gets into a lot of trouble. The Torrio's sometimes take out their hatred on the family on her. She is taken advantage of a lot.
