On a seemingly normal day, you wake up to find a tiny box and a letter beside your bed. Inside the box is a ring that is much like a class ring- big, silver, a gem set in it, and your name. But it also has a calligraphy T&K carved in it. The letter is as followed.

Dear Sir or Miss,
You have one day to decide to follow these instructions. If you take this quest, your life will immediatly become dangerous. I cannot stress how dangerous this is. But, should you take this quest, you will be saving many peoples' lives, not to mention restoring the balance of this world.
Now, if I haven's scared you off yet, this is what you are to do. Decide if you shall take the quest or not. If you decide to not accept, burn the letter and throw away the ring, for neither are of any use to you. If you are brave enough to take the quest, pack a small bag. Only bring a change of clothes, something to keep you warm, and any money you can get your hands on. Once you are finished packing, press the gem in your ring and step into the tear. Tell no one about this.
You will await until further instructions from me, once you get to your destination.
Sincerely, FT

You have decided to take this mission, and have stepped into the tear, only to find yourseslf in Boston just months before the American Revolution. Six other are with you, and all of you are from different time periods. But no worries, one is from this time.

Note: If you feel like your character would help with the revolution, go for it. It would make the plot just that much more intresting. Also, everything in the bag that your character packed has turned into the 1776 counterpart. (including whatever you were currently wearing)

Rules:
Spoiler
All usual rules apply. (no god-modding, sex scenes, killing of other people's characters without permission, etc. etc.) But I also ask that your character is revelant to the time period that they are from. (No immigrants from the 1800's saying "dude" or "totally") And please try to make the time period differences diverse, but close enough together that everyone will know what others are talking about.

I will take the role of the person from the time period that everyone else traveled to, and the role of FT. I will only post as him when he is giving you further instructions or when absolutly necessary. I am leaving 6 spots (Perhaps less if less people want to join. I will not go over six, no matter what.) If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Side Note on FT: The whole purpose of this is that you have no idea who or what FT is. That said, he always communicates through letters and he will not be seen in person until I decide that he needs to be. When he is seen in person, I will post a physical and short personality discription of him.

Enjoy! :D

Name: Ian Caius Haverty
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Time Period: 1840s - the Victorian Period
Gem On Ring:
Spoiler
Image

Appearence:
Spoiler
Image
Ian often wore charcoal vests with many pockets containing mis-matched items over a silk, satin ivory shirt, and a long grey trench coat when he was in his time period, but when he was transported to 1776 all of the items were put neatly into a satchel with tons of inside, button-pockets and he was given a white shirt underneath a dark grey waistcoat. His regular pant-wear was a pair of khaki trousers which were exchanged for their 1776 counterpart - some light brown pants that went down to just below his knee with a pair of light beige stockings underneath.
So, his finishing 1776 look is a white shirt underneath a dark grey waistcoat, light brown knee breeches over a pair of light beige stockings and a satchel containing many pockets filled with gadgets and gizmos from his time period.
Personality: Ian is an outgoing person but spits out whatever is on his mind, often earning him dirty looks and glares. He considers himself good with the ladies, but truly isn't the best at flirting. He lies a lot but is terrible at it, making him hate his impulse to lie. He's usually very happy and friendly, though, which sometimes helps to erase whatever he's accidently said.
History: When Ian was 8 his parents died in a motor-wagon crash; they hadn't even been in either motor-wagon, they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Since his parents were dead and he had no other relatives he was put into an orphanage and he started to spend his spare time building and re-building metal toys that he'd gotten from his parents - his only reminder of them.
He excelled in school and was friends with everyone, but had no close friends, as he was afraid to get to close to anyone because of his parents' death.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Strengths: He's outgoing, friendly, almost always happy, and very good at fixing anything with gears.
Weaknesses: He's afraid to get too close to people and often blurts things out in an untimely manner.
Likes/Dislikes: He loves working with gears and metal bits, as it let's him focus on one thing instead of him constantly thinking about his past.
He dislikes things that remind him of his past, parents, or how his parents died (i.e. things besides his tinker toys that remind him of when he was a child, dresses with calico patterns on them [his mother loved calico patterns], and/or any mention of motor cars, electricity, or gasoline/oil [so, obviously, all of his metal toys are wind-ups])
Up For Love: Why, of course ;)
Other: If you haven't gotten the clue already, he often talks to people and is overall a busy person to keep his mind off his past. If he does, however, get reminded of his past he'll either (1) Start to stare off sadly into space until distracted again or (2) Fiddle with his gears or otherwise distract himself. It all depends on how strong the memory is.
Also, he's originally from London, England.

Name: Oliver Pleasant

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Time Period: 1791

Gem On Ring: A simple, onyx ring Image

Appearence: Oliver has wavy, auburn hair that goes down to his shoulder blades - he either ties it back in a pony tail with ribbon or leaves it how it is. He has a pale complexion, and he has green eyes the color of emeralds. He stands at five feet six inches, and is pretty lean. He has a strong jaw line, and he has a light, two inch scar just under his right cheekbone.

Personality: Oliver is a gentleman. He treats people with respect, as long as they deserve it, and he is polite. That's what was drilled into him by his mother and her maids as he was a child. In addition, Oliver is an outgoing person who can and will talk to most anyone. He's a people person, and has a good sense of humor. He's one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He cares a little to much of what people think of him, and sometimes he has trouble showing affection - even a simple friendly hug is hard for him. However, he's very trusting and loves easily.

History: Oliver grew up with his mother, his father, his two younger sisters (Elodie and Claudia - Twins), his parents' maids, and the slaves. He was raised in a wealthy family, and he was always with "the best kinds of people", as his mother put it. His parents were never very affectionate, and very distant, and not much touching - that's where Oliver gets it from. There's not much to Oliver's life right now. He's a rich boy from New Orleans, 1791, and will one day own his own plantation - a normal life for this time period.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Strengths - Brilliant pianist, polite, good listener, well educated, smart, logical, loving, trusting, strong-willed, quick
Weaknesses - Has trouble showing affection, not used to doing hard work, cares a tad too much about what people think about him

Likes/Dislikes: Likes - Music, people, animals, his sisters, he adores New Orleans, and he loves riding horses
Dislikes - Rain, death/killing, seeing people in pain

Up For Love: Sure

Other: He's from New Orleans

Name: Jane Melicent

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Time Period: About 1801 - Think industrial revolution

Gem On Ring: A ruby: http://blog.andythornal.com/Portals/129 ... C_0215.jpg

Appearence: Jane has naturally wavy, rich brown hair and dark blue eyes the color of the night sky - they even have the same twinkle as the stars do. She is thin, and she has worked hands, in addition to her pale skin. She has natural ruby red lips, and always has a flushed look to her cheeks.
http://weheartit.com/entry/17142447/in-set/430635-girls

Personality: Jane is a sweet girl, but at times she's so bull-headed that it's aggrevating. She's extremely opinionated, and she's not afradi to vocalize her opinion. She tends to push people away, but it's really just a test to see if people will stick around - she just doesn't want to be hurt by anyone. Other than this, Jane has a sarcastic sense of humor, and loves to joke around. She's anything but a plain-jane. She's had to grow up much quicker than most girls her age.

History: Jane was born to poor parents, and five more children followed her. Her father died just a few months ago, and her mother couldn't support them all on her own. So, Jane joined a union. She works extremely hard for little pay in bad conditions - but she just can't stop working.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Strenghts - Has become very good at the loom, she's strong, has good endurance, she's strong, has quick hands, and can see better in dim lighting.
Weaknesses - Bright lights hurt her eyes (because she's used to the dimness of the factory), she has a poor immune system, she's stubborn, she works herslef too hard, and she sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night with everything blurry - it usally goes back to normal after she cries some and goes back to sleep.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes - Taking walks, being around people, listening, rain, the outdoors
Dislikes - Getting sick, seeing her loved ones suffer, how working the loom has caused her immune system and eyes to suffer

Up For Love: Sure

Other: None

*Hope these are alright!!!*

Name: Aleya Jazidon
Age: (13-17) 16
Gender: Female
Time Period: 1784
Gem On Ring: (No two rings are alike) opal
Appearance: picture at bottom. Aleya is around 5'6 and very slight. She has bright blue eyes that change colour to brown when she is scared or wary of something. They are blue when she is very exctatic. She has long brown hair that falls to her lower back, but she normally keeps it pinned up in a high bun on top of her head. She normally wears men's clothes, and wouldn't be caught dead in a dress. She does men's work, as she is very strong, though her body doesn't show it. She wears many rings, along with her class one. She keeps a long black sword on her side at all times.
Personality: Aleya could be labeled as a skitzo, but she is well aware of it and has it mostly under control. She is very bitter, but also very funny because of her dry and sarcastic sense of humour. She is cocky and self rightous. She doesn't back down and the word no is not in her dictionary. She is paranoid and does not trust easily.
History: Aleya's mother and father were both drunks, and died from too much when she was 11. From then she earned money stealing. She is very sneaky and when she got older she stole from governers and worked as a laborer. She rarely spends her money, so she has a lot. Most of the men accept her when they see that she is very masculine in her personality.
Strengths/Weaknesses: She is very fast, strong,& clever. But she is very reckless. She lacks a sense of empathy, and will almost never give sympathy.
Up For Love: Good luck.
Other: She has a very tiny green snake that likes to curl around her middle finger. The snake is very poisonous.

Name: Charlotte (Lottie) Tryon
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Time Period: 1776
Gem On Ring: Jade
Spoiler
Image

Appearance: Lottie dresses very sensibly. She only has two dresses. Her work dress is dark red and white, with elbow length sleeves and lace. She normally wears a clean white apron over it and wears a knit shawl whenever she is outside. She almost never wears her “fancy” dress, and keeps it in a trunk in her room. It is dark blue linen and is embroidered with birds in black thread. She wears lace up boots with her stockings. Every day she French braids her hair and ties it with a ribbon that matches her work dress. She normally has a few sewing pins stuck somewhere on her person, and carries a woven basket that holds her fan and knitting supplies with her at all times.
Spoiler
Image

Personality: Lottie is just like how she dresses. She is completely a practical, no-nonsense girl. She won’t do anything or buy anything that doesn’t have a practical purpose. She would much rather go with the bare minimum than be filthy rich. Everything she does has a purpose. She has a sense of humour, and is light-hearted about many things. One thing she is very serious about is the revolution. She completely supports it and dresses as a boy sometimes so that she can join the Sons of Liberty. She loves people and will do almost anything for another person, including dying. She can try to help people and come across as overly-helpful. She is always doing something with her hands, whether it is sewing, knitting, or just wringing them together. At first she can seem a little shy, especially around boys, but she opens up once she knows that she can trust you.
History: Lottie had a fairly normal childhood. Her parents owned a bakery shop in town, always earning just enough money to survive. Her mother died giving birth to a still born child when Lottie was two years old. Her father was devastated by this and he turned to heavy drinking at the local tavern, getting into fights often and coming home drunk and confused. His fighting eventually caught up with him and he was killed by a British Soldier for starting a riot when Lottie was eight. The milliner (person who makes ladies dresses and accessories) took pity on Lottie and signed her to an apprenticeship. Lottie has been learning to make dresses, gloves, hats, and other ladies wear since then. (This is why she always has sewing and knitting supplies on hand. She needs practice.) The milliner, a cranky fifty something woman named Mrs. Burbidge, is a devout Tory, so Lottie often has to sneak away to attend meetings. Their neighbour, who Mrs. Burbidge doesn’t approve of, is the silversmith Paul Revere. Lottie is good friends with him.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Lottie is fairly good at lying, as she must be to be able to pull herself off as a boy. She can shoot a musket, courtesy of a British Soldier. (More on him later.) She can sew very well, and very fast, so she can create disguises fairly well. She is a very good horse rider and can climb things like a monkey. On the down side, she is not very big and she isn’t very strong. She can’t stand the sight of blood and she can’t run very well. (This might be because of the restricting skirts that she usually wears. She has never had a reason to run while she was wearing pants.) She is sometimes a little too nice.
Likes/Dislikes: Lottie loves to sew and knit. She is frustrated that she just can’t get a hang on crochet yet, but she tries hard. She likes people and is deathly scared of being alone. She absolutely hates taverns and ale and refuses to drink it or go into a tavern. She likes to take walks by the pier to relax. She absolutely hates, loathes, and despises Thomas Wilder.
Up For Love: In her time period, women communicate with men with a complicated fan language. Thomas Wilder is a Redcoat soldier who had taken a fancy to her and asked to court her. She tried to use her fan to tell him to go away, but she accidentally said yes. She is in a relationship with him, although she absolutely hates him. She does consider this an upside though. She can spy on the British fairly easily this way. She is up for love, but only if you’re willing to deal with Thomas, who is very protective of her. He can get violent at times. She believes in the practice of Courtship, so you must be very formal with her.

Name: Vanessa Renee

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Time Period: 1979

Gem On Ring: Topaz *everyone is posting actualy rings - are we all having different rings, or is it the class rings like you said?*

Appearence: Vanessa is a slim girl who stands at five feet six inches. Her original brunette hair has been stripped of its color and died a faded blue. Her eyes are a brilliant blue-green, and her skin is tanned since she loves being outside so much. She wears some crazy concoctions, and she will always be seen with silver and/or gold rings on her fingers.
http://weheartit.com/entry/21200662/in-set/430635-girls

Personality: Vanessa believes in being yourself, and she does just that. She's a very outgoing girl, but she's very layed back and chilled out. Vanessa has a bit of sass to her, and can be very sarcastic at times, and she can spit out comebacks as easy and fast as she can say hello. She's a sweet girl, and she accepts almost everyone for who they are. She's strong headed and strong willed, and is very opinionated. She has a big heart, and forgives almost instantaneously. She's a very unique girl, and doesn't care what people think of her.

History: Vanessa grew up with her younger sister, Kelly, who is thirteen. They always seem to be in an argument about something. Her parents were divorced when she was three, her mother remarried Tom two years later, and her father married Christine four years later. She now has a half brother, Michael at age eight, from her father and a half sister, Valerie at age nine, from her mother.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Strengths - Great singer, okay dancer, the sweetest girl, good outlook on life, strong both physically and willed, and accepts anyone and everyone for who they are (mostly)
Weaknesses - Bad at planning ahead and not good at seeing tomorrow, she lives in the moment.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes - Music, rock and roll, concerts, singing, dancing, outdoors, nature
Dislikes - People belittling her, people who are cocky, people with bad attitudes

Up For Love: Sure thing

Other: She'll be ecstatic to be in Boston because her favorite band, Aerosmith, comes from Boston. She LOVES to sing, and does it often.

Hope this is alright - let me know if I should change anything! :)

We were gonna go with the class ring idea, but everyone posted different rings, which is fine. As long as the ring can have the character's name and the calligraphy T&K on it, it's fine. So you can go nuts to look for a cool ring! Liv, the only problem I have with your character is her blue hair. If you don't want to change it, then Vanessa is going to be wearing hats a lot. Blue hair is extremely conspicious in 18th century Boston. I do love the Aerosmith idea, though! Just the thought of a blue-haired girl breaking into an Aerosmith song in the middle of a cobblestoned street puts a smile on my face. :) But if she does break into anything that the Redcoats find odd or against the law, be prepared for her to be put in the stocks! (or maybe even tarred and feathered!)

Crmcgill, you made me crack up for like ten minutes at thst visual. Hahahaha. But I gave her blue hair and her personality for that reason - to add a little gumption to the storybook. Besides, Vanessa is more than happy with wearing hats and tying scarves around her hair! Hahaha. I'm up for a challenge.....though being tarred and frathered doesn't seem to great hahahaha

Oh how I wish I could have been kidding about the tar and feathers. I did say that Thomas Wilder gets violent, right? haha But if you are up for the challenge, Vanessa can keep her blue hair. She and Lottie could probabaly work something out.
I just noticed that you posted Vanessa's ring as a sapphire. Would you be opposed to changing that? Justagirl's character's ring already seems to be a sapphire. Maybe topaz or amethyst? I'm just trying to make them different. So if you don't want to change that either, let me know!
