This is the first human I successfully drew but not the first human I've drawn I did this free hand and it took me forever but I did it post comments please. Just keep in mind I know it's not perfect and it may look strange but I'd like to hear everything you have to say good and bad.

I really liked your drawing. It was very nice and it was very skilful of you to draw so beautifully on freehand. i also liked the shading that was used to highlight the face. the hair of the lady was also nicely done complete with some details. I also liked the hue of the whole drawing, how it looked and all above all it was a very nice piece. Keep drawing!! :smt001

The hair is quite nice. Your stark higlight/shadow contrast makes her hair look like you could reach out and touch it. Your lines, though, are quite stiff. Try loosening and softening your lines a little, let them flow. Don't try to be mechanical. You display great potential for photorealism art. That said, people are extremely hard to draw.

Your style seems rather pop-art-esque, harsh line drawings, etc. You clearly have good potential.

Now on the technical aspects of the drawing: her eyes are extremely shadowed, so dark. If you want to do this, try adding more shading near the recesses that hold her eyes, yknow, under the browbone? Her nose features a similar discrepancy; hard lines with no shading.

See, this is a little strange for viewers considering her hair is so richly shadowed yet her face is so stark. A little blending or just shading with the side of your pencil near the darkest lines on her face would go a long way to giving transition between the extremes of contrast.

In general, try softening the edges of the lines just a tad, like by smudging or with an eraser, to give it a more lifelike feel (if that's what you are going for...since this seems to be realism, that's how I review, based on classical realism; I'm a realist sketcher)

Try looking at different examples of line drawings, human portraits, etc, and see what you find, stylistically, by looking at them. Try different styles. You have great line drawing potential...it's just all very starkly done, more curves and flow could be given for less harsh an effect. Unless that was intentional, to show her character traits as harsh..I'm not familiar with her character.
