Tamers are taught how to take care of Maras, how to soothe them and earn their trust. Each Mara needs to be Tamed after its capture, before it can be released back into the Faustian realm.

Moderators are responsible for making sure the mind of the dreamer isn't at risk. If the battle between a Captura and Mara gets too intense, Moderators step in to put up barriers or shut down the dream.

Captura are the fighters of the team. They are the ones who actually face down the Maras.

Medics are responsible for the team members health on the field

Name: Lukas Jaeger
Age: 28
Position: Teacher/Instructor of MarTaming and Science
Personality: Being a bit of a clever smart alec and sarcastic person to the very few who bother to speak with him outside of classes, Lukas is a bit of a loner, and tends to slack off in his free time, preferring to read or sleep away while being surrounded by the many pets and plants he has.

However, as a teacher, he completely changes, becoming an almost scarily (violently) determined individual on his research and work, he steps up the plate when it matters. Not afraid to speak his mind and with a sense of crudeness, Lukas is a strict teacher who holds a strong iron-fist in his classes, having more of a reckless train of thought than most teachers. With a strong passion for both teaching and science, he isn't hesitant to hold back on throwing books or objects at his students who do not pay attention, but respects them nevertheless, putting them in high regard before most things, his mantra of: "You respect me, I'll respect you, and you won't get a book smacked into your face." is its core. Short-tempered and impatient, he is easily roused up when his students forget things that he has taught, as he doesn't like to repeat himself.

Despite his gruff and more cold nature towards people, Lukas is more quiet and soothing towards plants, animals and Mares, being a more empathetic person towards them more. He has a hard time communicating with other human beings, unable to fully express his feelings, but feels completely comfortable and at ease with animals, plants and rampaging Mares. He could sympathize with anything that isn't human, easily able to smile, to the shock of most spectators. Calm and analytical when worst comes to push and pull, he easily adjusts to situations, and could immediately assert himself to many solutions to issues and problems that prevent him from accomplishing his goal in an almost cunning like manner. Always reaching to succeed, Lukas does not like to disappoint. Whether it's for himself or others, some have yet to know.

Underneath all the complicated layers of Lukas' character, deep down, he is a secluded and almost shy person who is easily embarrassed, being almost socially awkward as he didn't have many friends and finds a lot of flustering out of his comfort zone when others try to knock down his walls to know his true self, despite it being his desire.

History: The lovechild of a Korean mother and German father, Lukas was brought up in Germany, his father's homeland, until he was 6. He was sent to America to go live with his mother after his father passed away from a sickness. Lukas had already developed a strong passion in all creatures, and lived as a middle-class family consisting of him and his mother. His mother, who had originally wanted a daughter, was a doting mom and often fretted over Lukas' appearance. Her existence is thought of being the said cause and reason who had erased and had rid of all what possible masculine traits that Lukas could have ever obtained. The German-Korean mixed American had gotten accepted into N. Academy at a young age, and after graduating as one of the top students in his class, striving always to be the best, Lukas went on to receive his teaching degree and a degree in environmental science and animal science, working on his chemistry degree. He returned to N. Academy for unknown reasons, other than the fact he feels obliged to do so seeing as he attended here, and has already had a reputation for himself as a 'demonic' teacher.

Appearance: Having longish, blonde hair swept into a layered boyish haircut framing a very delicate and feminine face (which had brought much ridicule), Lukas is pale and has blue-brown hazel eyes, a mix of his mother's and father's traits. Lean bodied, lanky and tall, standing at 6'2", and despite his fewer, more obvious masculine characteristics, he is often mistaken as a very tall boyish female with firm jaw and large hands. In contrast to his personality, Lukas appears a soft spoken and gentle person.



Extra:
- He has lost about 30% eye vision in his left eye after an accident, and wears glasses when teaching.
- Despite being younger than he appears and as young as he is, Lukas is not to be underestimated when it comes to academics and Taming, having worked extremely hard to be where he is today, he excels in the areas, despite being a (very) little higher than average in others.
- Few traces of German could be heard in his voice, but often hums, sings or curses in Korean and German.

Name: Storm Morton
Age: 17
Position: Tamer
Personality: Storm is very talkative because she rarely speaks to people so any chance she has, she zooms off in a, well, storm. She is always curious about descriptions about people and places because even though she can’t see, she wants someone else to see for her. She doesn’t like talking about her past, though if you get her to talk, she will. She likes to independent and is kind and caring but has a bit of a sharp tounge if you are mean to her or treat her like an invalid. She is a bit naïve and vulnerable because of her condition and how she trusts people too easily. She secretly wants to see again though wont admit it.
History: Storm used to live in a bad part of New York City. Her older brother was part of a gang (back then she could see). One night, a rival gang came a shot her brother and lit their house on fire. No one survived but Storm with barely anything of her life. She began to go blind because she forced herself to look for her family through all of the smoke, which ruined her eyes. After her family’s deaths, she was sent to her distant cousin in London who hated her and through her on the streets. She then found out about the N. Academy and joined.
Appearance: Storm is 5’4”, tan, with medium length curly/wavy brown hair with a bit of red in it. She has an almond shaped face, long nose, think lips, small teeth, a cute dimple in her left check—and oh, did I mention she’s blind?
Extra: Her blindness gives her weakness in the real world but strength when she tames the creatures.

Creature: Giant Wolf/Dire Wolf/Loupgarou
Habitat: Dark Forests and Caves

Feeds On: Pride. At first, the person attacking it is completely sure of their victory but the Giant Wolf soon shows the person it is extremely hard to beat.

Effect in Dream World: This wolf is brute strength and cunning combined because it is an intelligent creature. Some use their strength, some use their trickery, some use both. So the wolves attack effortlessly in the dream world.

Name: Annie and Alex Anderson
Age: 16 (Twins)
Position: Trainees- Annie is a Scripter and Alex is a Captura
Personality: Annie and Alex are Yin and Yang. Annie is a thinker,
shy and quiet, and spends her time mostly alone, drawing, painting, or writing. She's so kind would never even be able to swat a fly unless it was about to hurt someone. Alex, on the other hand, leaps before he looks. He's loud and obnoxious, and spends his time mainly at sports. He tends to like anything violent. When they're near each other, Annie comes out of her shell, and Alex quiets down somewhat, so they keep each other in line and balance each other out. They wouldn't be able to live without one another.
History: Annie and Alex grew up in a small town in Atlantic Canada. Their parents met at Nightmare Academy, where he was a Captura and she was a Tamer. Annie and Alex's childhood was fairly standard. They had a little bit of "twin telepathy," but they could only share very strong feelings of joy, sadness, anger, or pain. They were inseperable in their early years, but around middle school they gradually began spending time apart. When they were young teens, they begged their parents to let them go to to Nightmare Academy. Their mother wasn't crazy about the idea, but their father took the twins' side and they sent them off. Up until this point, the twins had no clue about N.A.'s dark secret. When they arrived and were selected for training, their twin telepathy kicked into high gear.
Appearance: The twins have sharp features and icy blue eyes. Annie has a platinum pixie cut, and Alex has long, stringy black hair. Annie wears soft colours and reserved styles, while Alex wears dark colours and whatever style is trendy.
Extra: Annie and Alex have the ability to share any thoughts they chose with each other.They share a dorm room and a small pet dragon named Cedric their mother tamed, although most people think it's some kind of exotic lizard.
Their sleep disorder:Annie has cataplexy, which means her muscles could fall asleep at any time and she collapses. Alex has enuresis, and he would rather nobody knew what that was.

Appearance: Giant scaly lizards with bat-like wings. They can be almost any colour.

Effect in dream world:A dragon will bring a dreamer's favourite memories into the dream and destroy them. Whatever the dreamer cherishes will be destroyed before their very eyes: family and friends are tortured and killed, childhoods and happy days are invaded. All their favourite memories are eaten. Rank 7 dragons can only make the dreamer think this is happening, while rank 2 dragons actually remove the memories from the dreamer permanantly.
