Very nice! It is a great painting, even though you did it a long time ago. The colors are interesting, although at some points they clash a little bit, like in the top left quarter the orange and blue is little disorienting. Just a little bit, though.
The background is very abstract and artful, although when we get closer to the bottom left quarter, I can't really tell what that is. Is that supposed to be the ground? Grass? Or still part of the sky? It could be either, but it would be better if there was a distinguishing line between land and sky, ad if there is no land, then not so much of a difference in color and texture in that particular section.
About the girl: I don't like the bow, it doesn't even make sense and it kind of brings a cheerful attitude to what I am pretty sure is not supposed to be a cheerful painting. Also, the wide black outline around her face: not good at all. Very not good. Also, I thought the whole painting was about the tears. I can barely make them out! maybe have them a darker blue or even add some darker skin color to make it stand out a little more.
Otherwise, I love the swirliness and the hair was done very nicely as well. Great job!
I'm so amazed at this piece and seeing as you've done it a long time ago, I'm even more impressed at the way you've managed to pull together the emotions of the girl crying. The girl by herself, looks simple and easy to figure out. But what the real great thing about this is the background for me. You've used the correct colours to capture the drabness of being in despair and sadness with the darker shades of greens and slight hints of blue. the waves and the swirls have also been really well executed.
You are a great painter/sketcher and I'm hoping to see more! Btw, creativity, you rule! xD

I love your picture. It reminds me of a painting that I once saw by a young Japanese girl, and the painting was called 'Tiger's Child.' One thing that I poignantly remember about this little girl's painting was the colors that she had used. I used to use acrylic paints; ordinary reds and yellows and blues. However, when I see acrylic paintings that I especially like, I notice that they look sort of 'native', or so to speak. There are a lot of brown, musky colors that captivate me. Not only that, but the idea of an unhappy girl in a world of unusual, sickly, swirly cloud-like colors takes my fancy. The way that you've painted the background, with all of those swirls, and with the distressed girl in the foreground, reminds me of Edvard Munch's 'The Scream'. Overall, I love your painting, and I think that you're obviously very talented, but the outline around the girl looks a little too obvious - it's awesome and I love it, but maybe you could blend in the outline a little more, if you were thinking of still working on this. its a very beautiful painting. but i think you might want to you a little more color. I love the background on the top left hand corner, around the girl i think you could add a little more definition and color that will give it more emotion. but i like it alot.
