So far it's Simon and Batgirl who posted, so I think the heroes still have the ball.

History:
As a young girl, Selina was never close to her sister Maggie.
Selina's mother Maria was so into her cats surrounding herself with them to the point to of suicide. Kyle was young when her mother passed her away, her father Brian Kyle was no help her either. Since he was an alcoholic, looking at Selina reminded him of his wife. Giving Selina the cold shoulder until he drank himself to death. Just to survive in the streets she resorted to stealing. Soon after they caught her and send her to an orphanage then juvenile hall. This is where she realized the world was cruel. When she was in the orphanage (age 13.) She noticed that the administrator was with holding money from the orphanage. Confronting the administrator, Kyle was put in a bag and thrown in the river to drown. Kyle escapes and returns back to the orphanage and steals documents exposing the administrator for her corruption.
Using the power of the documents, she was able to blackmail the administrator to erase all Selina's documents in the orphanage, stealing the diamond necklace and left.

Soon after leaving the orphanage she found herself in Alleytown, there Mama Fortuna found her and took her in. Fortuna was an elderly leader of a band of thieves, teaching Kyle how to steal. Selina was a slave to Fortuna, keeping all the earning so Selina left. Even though surviving was impossible for, so she resorted into prostitution. This was the only thing she could to survive also to break away from her pimp. After witnessing crimes from him and the abuse from her sisters, she went off to learn martial arts and self defense. Then she noticed that this was not life for herself, for her sisters, for no one. So she parted ways from the nightmare, soon after she became a freelancer thief.
