Well, well, well...I have to say I liked this cover because it kind of went Boom! in front of my eyes and I could almost hear the colors of red and orange in the picture. It stood out, that is.
Although a little background information would have helped me, I can figure out some of what the book is about from the cover and title, more so than some books, so that''s good. It's about, well, a class that graduates in the year 2013. Easy. However, the background seems to come out of the 1800's, which is a problem. I might even see a horse in the foreground. The colors and the vagueness of it helps not to notice that it doesn't look like 2013, but even so, for me I only got the "class of" part of the book from the cover, and not the "2013" part. Unless, that is, it is supposed to be a kind of set-back or rewind of old times in the future, in which case the cover is absolutely fantastically perfect. Either way, at least it's appealing to look at and draws your eyes in, as well as having a big, noticeable author at the bottom. I like that. One other thing is that I think the title could have been a little more centered on the page, vertically, I mean, so that it's closer to the middle of the scene, and it could even be cut up into "Class of" drop down to the next line, "2013". I like the font, though.
